  1. Oh good god.
  2. Yeah. Balls was the only project (other than Cast) I had a mild interest in. You hype this shit up ReZ but the fact is you're just too impatient to stick with something. DO MORE CAST ISSUES THAT I CAN CRITIQUE!
  3. Such a busy day didn't have time to do my required project work. A rarity, usually I just put it off! Ended the day with Tegan and Sara, always a good thing!
  4. Take me to the river so I can douche myself clean.
  5. Tegan and Sara played the exact same setlist as Chair posted, less fun, but still good. The most stunning bit was when Tegan left synth playing duties, halting Night Watch, to tell people to stop fighting (dunno how a fight breaks out at a T and S concert, but it did). Then they both went on a great tirade about how shit shouldn't happen, then they picked back up where they left off, but with a massive outro instead of the rest of the song, in their words "Pink Floyd-ish". Was blinding. Call It Off was brilliant. The audience sang the first verse and chorus without either sister. ---- I don't think I've ever mentioned it, but The Execution Of All Things by Rilo Kiley is probably in my top 5 albums ever. I was introduced to them via their last album which is so awful in comparison. It's remarkable how different they are. Execution...sounds like the trip that I never took through the dirt roads of america, and the life as a slightly lonely yet ever-surrounded by friends musician I'll never be. The Good That Won't Come Out tell me truths I'd rather not hear (but are great), every song is just takes your breath away, then gives it back again, leaving you full of brim.
  6. This is kinda the bud/stem/seed of why I hate. It's ridiculous, idealised, romanticised characterisations are designed to make teenage girls go all tingly and lie back on their bed, clutching the book to their heart and sighing, lustily wishing Edward or Jake or Steve or whatever the other ones are called were there to ravish them and take them away to the forest where they can both jump arounds trees while suspended from a crane. But it's not just Mills and Boone stuff, they have ANGST. And they're dark and vampires = awesum!!!
  7. batdance - prince Stop the press. Stop the press, who is that? Vicki Vale. Vicki Vale. I like... BAT-MAAAAN Hi. Bruce Wayne. I tried to avoid all this but I can't. I just wanna know; Are we gonna try to love each other? Stop the press, who is that? Vicki Vale. She is great, isn't she? Ooh-yeah! Ooh-yeah! I wann bust that body! Ooh-yeah! Ooh-yeah! I wanna bust that body right! (She's out there right now) Well Ms. Vale, have you ever danced with devil in the pale moonlight? I always ask that of all my prey. I just like the sound of it. *gunshot* *screams* I gotta go to work. If a man is considered guilty for what goes on in his mind, give me the electric chair for all my future crimes!
  8. Hercules & Love Affair remixed GaGa's new single = Me intrigued. However, it's really uninteresting and boring. I hoped for a good remix to make me like the song more.
  9. I love. Just the voice.
  10. Technically they did Under Pressure with elements of Ice Ice Baby. Just watched their and Stacie's performance. That was their best by far, actually enjoyed it! it was also Stacie's best. A bit clumsy at the start, but blew me away halfway onwards.
  11. Went into town, like a normal person. Ordinarily I get up, have breakfast then LOUNGE for hours before I can do anything (on weekends), but I was so determined to get my Tegan and Sara tickets. Set out, fought long and hard/bought them over the counter, then came home singing the praises of the man at Ripping. Did one of my A5 collage/mood boards. (it's) Great. Planned to do both I needed. Didn't. A Pail of Fail. Went avec famille to see my sister in the autumn concert. Was fine, but I hate shit songs about God. If they're good, fine. But not shit. Left half-way through to be driven to my friends house since she's going back to Norwich on Wednesday etc. Stayed unusually long...played great ones on't Spotify, drank shit wine and generally got high on a trampoline until 2.30.
  12. Dazz, the books are so shit. They're lonelyhormonalchick-lit, written horribly. At least the films spare us of the writing.
  13. I actually wrote out a post right after Molly posted her babyliss thing about how I first assumed it was some sort of vibrator, but then thought the better of it. Since it obviously wasn't. *evacuates the ballroom*
  14. Crying at maths, but I'll estimate. I'll just do a timetable thing for my own ease of working out. Mon - Thurs 7.45 - I get up. I hate having less than an hour to get ready. I need time to regain my faculties, and I generally hate stress. I need to sit and mull my wine. 9.00 - Leave house. 9.20 (roughly) arrive at college. I usually walk, as it's so close. I just stroll and iPod. Or if I'm lazy, there's a bus stop quite literally outside my front door there. I'm lucky. 11.00 Break 11.30 Back to work 13.00 Lunch 14.00 Back to work 16.30 College ends (usually) Back home before 17.00 (usually) Fuck about for the rest of the day, go to bed when I'm tired/usually obscenely late. I know the above isn't what was asked, but why would I do maths?
  15. I hate that when one of the songs in each match isn't popular or at least by a well-known band, it's dead. This is why I wanted that system of weeding out and punishing those who only vote like I said above. Anyway. Nashville. My nomination, and early Liz Phair is fucking brilliant. I love lo-fi.
  16. I think most of Lady GaGa's new stuff is decidedly less "Ooh Catchy" than her last album, but I do like the production.
  17. Why not call it just "Rainbow". That title will mean that people won't leave dissapointed if the content wasn't comedic/funny (I hate when titles promise things that aren't, in general, like "Fantastic Mr. Fox"), and people will be fooled into thinking the video they're clicking on will be about the classic TV show. = more views by accident.
  18. I love the cover of her new album, her expression looks like she's about to burst into laughter at you, as though you're just so ridiculous as a person. Even though you'd done nothing but admire her. Not too keen on the song. The production is horrid. Sounds about 20 years old, and just bad quality. Ruins the song quite a bit.
  19. =Music Wars 2= Match 10 Nashville - Liz Phair We7 spotify:track:4ifs6tTnXkxuYZ635wiQdg Instead- Stacie Orrico Youtube We7 spotify:track:36P5b4AtB1QaIgEwR4QsIs --- Round 1 Match 1: Joy Division vs. Nine Inch Nails Match 2: Patrick Wolf vs. Dashboard Confessional Match 3: Daft Punk vs. Major Lazer Match 4: Fleet Foxes vs. Florence and the Machine Match 5: Boney M. vs. Sonic Youth Match 6: Kylie Minogue vs. Jade Ewen Match 7: Susan Cadogan vs. Evanescence Match 8: The Smiths vs. We Are Scientists Match 9: Frou Frou vs. Pulp --- Get listening, then vote!
  20. Got 2 tickets to Tegan and Sara for tomorrow! Touch my fire!
  21. Don't become the new ReZ. :p
  22. Repost but I still fucking love this video. Just the pacing, voices and their mouths. "You're getting an abortion.." "I think I'm ready for motherhuhd.." "DE ABORTIONIST HAD TAH TELL YE ABOUT BIRT CONTRA YA DUM HIR"
  23. Oh! I forgot I Bet It Stung was from So Jealous. Now I get it. FACTOID: As I was typing "I Bet It Stung" I got a genuinely stinging pulse of pain in my left foot. I assumed I was havingsome weird blood-thing/heart failure. But it passed within seconds.
  24. You know I couldn't just sit THIS out! *smiles determinedly* [/ in a children's film where teenagers have to save the day] *wonders if determinedly is a word*
