  1. Advice needed; I'm applying for jobs at the moment, and right now I'm filling out an online application to work (as various things) at an Edinburgh club/bar/place. It says to enter info in a box titled "Experience/Employment & References" - I have no references. I've not been employed before, I know that's who you'd use normally, but who should I use? 2. It makes no seeeeeeennnnnsssseeeeeee. Well Spider-Man. I hate him (being on multiple teams). At least Savage She-Hulk has no backstory worth preserving, she can be put anywhere. (also just checked, she's the daughter of an alternate reality Hulk and Thundra. ) --- Anyway. Still reading Morrison's JLA. Stuns. I love the line-up so much. Superman Wonder Woman Batman Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) Flash Martian Manhunter Aquaman Steel Plastic Man Zauriel Huntress Oracle And Aztek and Green Arrow who left. Which added, after being through really traumatising situations. Huntress is the most unnecessary addition to the JLA ever. But then that fact makes her prescence essential. And Kyle is my favourite lantern due to his costume, nostalgia, and the fact his ring works differently to everyone elses (IIRC).
  3. Is that a hulked-up Thundra? I'm weeping if her and Spidey being on the posters means what it seems to imply.
  4. I have the bottom one. :)

  5. A purple shirt Denim (0r something that looks like denim) shorts NME (It had Rihanna on the front, I was stunned)
  6. Talim always reminded me of Stacie Orrico. She was clearly a wind-worshipper. Ivy stuns, but she makes a point of it so it's less fun to discover. Sophitia is my boo though. Sorry Cassandra, I prefer your demure and reserved sister. And who can foget Seung Mina? Promises more than Kilik (the fact her stick has an AXE BLADE on the end) but somehow always did worse. Realisticaly though if I want to hear screaming crys for mercy I'd just use Nightmare or Link (I loved his inclusion).
  7. Mine are all Bjork except for my , and it basically still is (written by her). --- Finally bought Contra by Vampire Weekend the other day. I like it. Less hooky than the first one, but more aurally rewarding.
  8. I'm scared that people might not be aware of how lovely Laura is; And by lovely I mean ridiculously talented.
  9. Soul Calibur reference! She was my best character. ---- 8.6/10 overall. I love Hit Girl, but it doesn't quite show her awesomeness.
  10. It was the worst so far. I didn't even smile (I usually do, at the shiteness/ridiculousness of bits), until when it zoomed in on "No comments have been posted on this video". It's just... No. I still don't get how "Nein" is meant to be funny. (to pick out one bit)
  11. Went with my sister to a Roller Derby for a joke. Apparently inspired by Whip It, she bought me a ticket the other day. I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually quite fun. I want to play it. Even though I can't roller-skate (probably. Haven't tried in years) and it's an all-female sport...probably because it would be too hard to play properly with all guys, way too much knocking down/way easier to block people etc. Came home. Booked driving theory test. Ugh. I'm getting nowhere with driving, or it feels like that. I keep having to go back to basics in order to combat things I do normally. I can "drive" technically, but it's knowing what to do when etc.
  12. I'm now reading Morrison's JLA from the late 90's, cause it's the JLA team that was around when I first got into supheroes (in the comics as opposed to just the TV shows). And it's so definitive. I also have a nostalgic soft-spot for Electric Superman (for the above reasons). I like Morrison's take on them, how they're so definitive, but so far their adventures have all been slightly off-center or cerebral (as you'd expect from him). Come on, Key. You stun. (The other JLA I think of is the Year One post-crisis original line-up one, with Black Canary. I wish they'd kept her as being one of the originals. She adds more than Wonder Woman. I've read that graphic novel so many times. <3 )
  13. Life-Size Some Disney tv movie with a child Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks. It was about a doll that comes to life, but my friend and I did our usual "talk over it all, adding our own script and therefore story". It became a lost episode of Buffy, set in the middle of Season 5. I love. We did the same with Indiana Jones in the cinema (quietly...), but most obviously with 'Cosi', some australian film we 3 (incl. Chair) watched after seeing Bjork live. We just made up absolute crap as the story, so by the time it was over we had no idea anything that happened. Not one bit. [/reminisces]
  14. Lumineon and Nidoking add so much.
  15. Song that's been on repeat loads for me. Pretty "...:p" but I just love Nicki Minaj's bits and the urgency. (poor quality) --- Also, Rufus Wainwright's new album is really, really good. Just him and a piano, and it's brilliant. (considering he's normally quite theatrical/OTT)
  16. I hate them. They're just so greasy and without any of the niceties chocolate can offer. I like Lindt/Lindor stuff, but they feel sily as opposed to greasy.
  17. I need a job. I'm genuinely looking this time though. Usualy I just say that then never do.
  18. The X-Men and Spider-Man have no relationship. Urgh fuck off.
  19. What the hell is that? Why is Spider-Man telling us he and Psylocke are X-Men?
  20. How progressive.
  21. It's a funny film. It's not a "comedy". --- Whip It Fairly standard/predictabe big dreams crossed with discovering a sport film, you know the dril, but saved by some good casting. Ellen Page is nice, bu Alia Shawkat from Arrested Development is the best. AND SHE'S CALLED PASH IN IT. (ReZ/Chair will know what this means to me) Juliette Lewis adds of course. I loved when they played Chair's favourite song. In it for a split second, coming from someone's car radio. I loved all the codenames they all had. Some great superhero ideas in there. (Eva Destruction, Babe Ruthless, Iron Maven etc) But yeah, apart from little touches, it was a fine, enjoyable way to while away an afternoon. Nothing special.
  22. The way you type is beautiful.
  23. Why not just wait until/if these issues actually present themselves as real?
