  1. . Time Will is great though. I'm interested in what H+LA's second album will be like, without Antony. --- Music has been won. It's over.
  2. I feel like I should start looking for a place for next year. Some friends have started thinking about it, and they very nicely said that I was the one person of our friends/on our course that had nothing annoying or irritating about them, so they wanted me to live with them most.
  3. I'm going to be sick. All my dreams have finally come Tru.
  4. Well it's more classy than being desperate. I can't really remember writing that post.
  5. I've abstained from watching it after having the first episode/pilot die on my multiple times. I'm waiting for the DVD.
  6. Very fun night out. Even though I've come away with a fat lip and ripped jeans (both occuring after getting a taxi back home...so between leaving the taxi and reaching my door. :p). My new thing is encouraging sex. I just tell people to have sex these days. It's so boring waiting to see if they will, if they won't. Just decide then and there, or ruin my night, why don't you? Maybe it's cause I just await the inevitable gossip after the fact. I find sex so rub' mostly. I think I prefer knowing other people have sex, I just find it such a hassle after a night out when I'm usually completely wasted. Just...blow me, or don't. I don't even care.
  7. I wish Peter David's 90's Supergirl was fully collected in trade. Only the first issues and last issues were. It was so good, and the definitive Supergirl to me. Seemed a bit backward to just forget about the very well defined and developed Linda Danvers Supergirl just so Jeph Loeb could introduce his own version. David's was very interesting, all religious symbolism and themes, and an incredibly unique perspective and origin (it's the same Supergirl from the Reign of the Superman and stuff, but she gets literally a new lease of life in this series) compared to other Superman family characters. Gary Frank's art was so definitive too. Plus I hate how the current Supergirl is portrayed/drawn. She's disturbingly young teen virgin-like, whereas the Linda/Matrix Supergirl seemed much more sure of herself and less male-fantasy. That said, I've hear the modern Supergirl series has been decent. I've gone on about this before.
  8. I'm seeing it today at the insistance of my friends. I expect absolutely nothing. It owes me nothing in return.
  9. I'm pretty sure it was X-Men (2000) that really brought superhero films to the hollywood forefront as viable moneymaking properties.
  10. Katie was good this week. She looked awful though. Bring back her nice hair and face. She looked like an ugly young boy. I always watch it late/on itv player so I can skip through the shit like Wagner and One Direction. Meh at the results. I skipped Paije too. I prefer Cher, but she has a very weak and bleety voice at times. All I want to hear is her do Turn My Swag On properly from her first audition. That was stun.
  11. Mother Mary. That was impressive. As a skill and as a little film.
  12. Yeah, it was suprisingly interesting. The only bit was really "disturbed" me was that animatronic of an old diseased homeless woman that lunges at you. OH and the bum attached to the wall on the first staircase with eyes in it? When it blinked, it hissed really loudly and my friends and I all jumped and screamed. :p
  13. I'm so upset you didnt do Fantasmic! at MGM/Hollywood studios. That's one of the only "shows" worth going to see. Very fantastic and magic. Tower of Terror has the best theming though, I agree. Reminds me of Angel's Hotel in Angel.
  14. Amsterdam Trip Purchases The point of the trip was to experience IDFA, the documentary festival, which kinda brigns to mind boring political things, but I kinda didn't realise (for some reason) that documentaries can take so many stunning forms. A few featured some of the best cinematography I've seen in a long time, very interesting structurally, cinematic etc. Jogen Leth's Erotic Man was a HUGELY controversial screening, walk-outs, shouting in the Q+A, I was angry (which I never get)..loved it. Anyway. Cinema tickets:
  15. I'm reeling from Pitchfork's score. Just cause 10's are too precious. It's like using a Moon Stone really willy-nilly. I enjoy the cover/was going to listen to this in any case though.

    McFly

Whatever one of their recent songs about a girl was, it was embarrassing. Without the endearing shiteness mixed with stun of Ke$ha and other shit people. It was the aural representation of a cash-grab. Only it was shit, so no one bought it. I'd never wish bad things, but I don't wish them well.
  17. I'm going as Amora's Best Friend. (Skurge)

  18. I'm genuinely wearing that headband. I've taken to it of late.
  19. I was actually thinking about Ultimate Hulk throught Grazza's post. He works just as well as an amoral figure. But I suppose if the intention is to get him onto the reader/watcher's side, him being a hero helps.
  20. Generally yeah, like identity/gender/sexuality/presentation/artificilaity/shit. (But I did put it more concisely to my tutors :p) And a little bit of narrative about being "trapped" by it all. Or rather, not escaping. Or something. Now the project's over I've kinda expelled it all from my mind in relief.
  21. Oh I suppose that would make the cycical thing more explicit. But then again we all hate cliche. And everyone got it anyway.

    I loved it.
  23. I got a really good response from my tutors about my second project at today's assessment. My piece was kinda...raw. but it came from stunning/researched concepts of really deep things and they appreciated :p (turn it up to get the full effect of that lovely noise in the background)

  25. I hate John Barrowman. I like Hugh Jackman. Seems like one of those people who'd really listen to what you say in a conversation.
