alot of its common sense. if some one shows you a modle village and all the houses are shaped like penises, they are a peadophile.

well, im all for keeping kids safe, ya know, what with the huge over exposure to nonces in the media, but theres gotta be a limit i mean, even with all the checks in the world, whats stopping a previously unrecognised fiddler getting through? making people pay to get on a data base of non child molesters, its retarded, its like asking me to pay to prove that im not a murderer, utter bollocks. i get MPs want their floating duck islands, but they shoudlent make the tax payer foot the bill.

Unemployment, travelling and smoking thread. Apparently.
Chris the great replied to Dyson's topic in General Chit Chat
actualy, dont listen to this. any job is better then the shame of the dole. anyhthing beats going on job courses. even if your job is shite and poorly paid, it helps you get that ideal job. i mean, you dont expect a perfect job to fall into your lap with no experience do you? work hard, prove yourself, gain expereince in different areas. it may suck to work, but it sucks far less then being unemployed for 10 months. belive me.- 562 replies

public enemys or christian bale continues his one man war against persinality ok, so i did think it was an alright film, good performance from depp, he seemed to have real charisma. bale had litteraly no likable quality to him. obviosuly his character was partialy to blaim, but god he was boring. the biggest problem i had was that you didnt care about any one, even in heavy action scnes i didnt care who lived or died. compair that to say, american gangster, were i spent every action film praying for people to get out ok. so all in all, a good film, but was missing somthing. good but it drags 6/10

met the manager today at work, that was good, im getting a lil pay, though keep it under your hats people. also sorted out what hours im doing, which i approve of knowing. also, on the way home, there was a little girl, looked about a year or so old, and she was so cute it made me wish she was my daughter. i think im getting broody. she was smiling and waving at people on the bus, brightened my day no end.

in my 2nd year, we had one rubbish bin and one recycle bin between the 9 of us in the house. the counicl said it would be a while before they sent us any more, but sent a letter of compalint about the number of bin bags piling up outside our house. we also had a house mate who wouldent do his turn on the bin rota, as if it was to much effort. he didnt forget either, as he moved the indicator to the next person without doing his own one. kinda glad to see the back of him now.

both of those games are great, one lovely looking exclusive and possibly the most addctive game ever, good combo! in terms of not shooting, id recomend little big planet. my seal of approval is given. infamouse is kinda shooty, but not entierly. even if you doint like shooting, get uncharted, its not a typical shooter, and a hugely awsome game. civilisation is fun, and again, i know its a shooter, but dead space is a great, atmospheric and exciting game. valkeria chronicles is a good game aswell.

Which Social Group Did You Fit In At School?
Chris the great replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
that wasnt really a social group though,, was it? the whole thing about the inbetweeners is they are niether the cool nor the geeky, they just sort of sit inbetween without fitting any. also, i was doing that way before the term was used so arguably, they copied off me. -
today i almost slipped cos of my crap shoes, and was made to dance for the chefs amusment. i then went to update my buspass and found the shop i used to do it at had closed, so walked about a mile to the next one.

Which Social Group Did You Fit In At School?
Chris the great replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
i was an inbetweener, more specificaly will from the inbetweeners. ive never seen my self as part of a social group, i mean, emo, goth, chav, trendies, who cares? just be your self. ive always dressed how i liked, acted how i wanted to act and been interested in what ever i liked. conforming to a social group is like admitting you have little personality and need to feed from outhers. i actualy had a mate who would copy my interests but be louder about it, make it his thing, make himself seem like an individual, when all you could see in him was some one trying desperatly to fit the "individual" persona. anouther mate at uni went the outher way, did everything he could to fit the rugby club, litteraly hung off their every word and hated any rivals just bacuse they were rivals. -

the writting to you thing is a fair point, we were told not to put writting but contacting or what have you, just for an easy transition into the letter. make sure the qualifacations you list are relevent, because im looking for a wide range of jobs, i put my psychology in, but yeah, if your just to be working behind a counter, you neednt mention your degree to much the covering letter is becoming more and more of a selling point these days, or so im told. it sets you appart from the outher CVs and gives you a personality, i strongly recomend sorting out a decent one. happened to me too, lots of places dont wanna know.- 562 replies

Chris the great replied to Dyson's topic in General Chit Chat
ok, well, you need to sort that out a fair bit, i'll show you what i got in my general covering letter, with some notes. always put your address, phone numbers and email here, aswell as thodays date Delivered by hand its better if you have thier address, but as its just a hand in one, this isnt possible. Dear Sir/Madam the owners name would be better, but this will do if you dont know it I am contacting you to enquire into a possible managerial, retail, admin or any other vacancy within your store. Start off by stating why you are writing, and what you want from them, no good to an employer if they dont know what you want. I am a university graduate in the school of psychology, and am eager to move onto new challenges. I hold an A level in ICT, which covered a wide range of computer programs, from Microsoft office to more specialised programs, such as those used by checkout attendants. I have excellent numeric skills, attaining a B in GCSE mathematics. give a few bassic details about your qualifacations. dosent have to be to much detail, just stuff they may find usefull. maths is a good one if you have it Currently, I am employed in a busy pub with catering facilities. I have experience in admin, promotion, working behind a bar, using the till, taking food orders, serving customers, kitchen work and general cleaning. My work has included working as part of a team, and also taking the initiative and working alone, unsupervised. I have also previously been employed as a photography assistant. My main responsibilities were set design, set up and maintenance. This required both following instructions and using my initiative to complete any task that was given and this role was largely unsupervised. I am also certified in both communications and first aid, a responsibility I am willing to take up within your premises if required. when writting about your employment history, you MUST include what it was you did, and dont be afraid to big your self up. paperwork? adminstration. worked on the checkout? customer service. You will see on my CV that I have a vast academic background, and would very much like to expand this with more experience in the workplace itself, as well as gaining further qualifications. include your cv, and reference it at some point I would be delighted to meet with you at your convenience to discuss any suitable positions within your store, at present or in the future, or at any other branches you may know with a vacancy that I would be suitable for. I am happy to take up a work trial position if necessary, at no financial cost to your organisation. I am available for interview or work immediately, and am contactable by any of the contact details specified above. say when your available for interview or to start, if you want to be considered in the future, say so, it may be put on file. also, if your willing to do an unpaid stint, mention it. it will show determination. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and look forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. Manners. thank them for reading your letter, and mention you woild like to hear back, if nothing else, it shows good people skills Yours faithfully as they are not known to you, faithfully is the better term to use MAKE SURE YOU PHYSICALY SIGN IT YOURSELF! Christopher Kirton lastly, do not staple the covering letter to the CV, or pages of the CV together, it gets in the way for photo copying, or if the letter/CV are stored seperatly. the covering letter is VERY important. your CV says alot about your achivments, but little about you. really sell yourself, show off just how good your people skills are, and how you are suited to a wide range of roles.- 562 replies

What game do you want for your 'Other Console'?
Chris the great replied to dwarf's topic in Other Consoles
i didnt think it was possible, but you just made skies of arcadia seem even better. also, finnish valkeira already, its one of the best games on the ps3. -

hum, thats an idea, i'll run it by greg on tuesday while i do finances (yes, seriosuly, the unpaid temp is doing finances) its not really what i was looking to do (raise awareness of the function room) but i suppose all publicisty is good publicity. its a bit of an oap pub mind. as far as i know, slamandas are amphibious, so the pond would be good. i dont think the chlorine in the pool would have been good for him. i award you my young lifesavers badge! edit. while i rember, i have a cut on the bottom on my second to little toe on my right foot. no idea how. edit 2. gah i cant stand my mam some times. got called through to tell them what id done witht he jackson funeral concert. i said i had done nothing, and it was, infact there, just under a different name. she deleted primeval from then v+ box, saying "i thought we only had 75 mins left, not 75 hours" i had two episodes to go. it might be shite but its my guilty pleasure! she then says "well you deleted the wire!" yes, I did. we hadent watched a single episode and had around 30 hours of it on the V= box. ontop of that, we had missed a load, so it wasn't like we were missing out on a complete serise. all she said was "well, ive done it now, tough, dosent matter" i'm in charge of the V+ for a reason, i know what im doing. i can't help but feel she did it to get me back. she is that childish.
