That was awesome. Obviously very controversial, but as a neutral viewer who got back to watching F1 this season...incredible final I guess Masi will not return? By the way, wasn't Toto Wolff's "Michael, please no safety car." ridiculous? Safety cars are a thing for a reason and in my opinion it would've been much safer for the marshals. One more thing: How freaking good was Checo's defense Tough but fair driving and an absolute delight to watch Can't wait for next season...might actually start to root for Mick. Really hope Haas got a better car in store for him.

I see. So you were still in the "panic mode" phase whenever something new happens in this game After this boss I got out of it, coincidentally. Literally because during this boss fight I started to subconsciously use all the different little cues Returnal gives you via audio, visuals and haptic feedback. I'll re-post my second boss gif: This is where everything clicked and the game reached an even higher level of awesomeness Not really. Edit: Hope you haven't seen the weapons spoiler, yet. I've mentioned a few guns you may have not encountered, yet. Sorry if I spoiled something for you

YES! This is what makes Returnal so great, in my opinion (aside from it being a technical marvel and it having perfect arcadey-gameplay). Mastering Selene's capabilites (or in turn, realizing how good you actually are/can get) is such an incredible feeling. And it's constant right up until you see the end. The game throws new things at you and you slowly but surely (sometimes immediately) get better at dealing with them and it...you said it...feels good. Did you play with headphones on? Did you notice the directional sound cues? Did you notice the directional haptic feedback cues? Did you notice the incredible music? DID YOU NOTICE IT, JULIUS? I love this boss Reading your impressions kinda makes me want to fire this up again and see how I'll fare after a long hiatus. Oh boy, I can't wait to hear about your experience with the next boss.

You need to dash more

Never heard of it, but it does look awesome. Right up my alley. After the disastrous feedback I got from my mates when I told them to buy Tribes of Midgard...I doubt I'll get them to play this one with me
-
Agree. It's weird, but who knows...maybe it actually will lead to more sales? I guess it couldn't hurt, given Godfall's...situation
-
Quite the opposite, really. Apparently the campaign is horrible and the endgame is where it's at. Given the game's genre, this doesn't surprise as the endgame is usually the "true game" when it comes to looters. I can understand the decision, since the campaign has been reviewed poorly. However, I'm not too fond of the decision to only include a part of the game. Then again, I'm not particularly interested in Godfall either way. It's a weird decision but probably not a bad one. What's worse: Asia gets Judgement in addition to the other games...

Cool article about what devs think about the DualSense This is so true. I will always remember the second boss fight in Returnal. It swoops in from off screen and you can hear the direction it comes from but you can also feel it. It's like directional hearing with your hands Something I think that needs to be stated more often: The DualSense's features never feel overpowering, they are never the focus of what's happening. They are (a sizable) addition that kind of feel natural. I've said it many times: the DualSense is the next-gen feature and one of the greatest additions to gaming in a long time.

E3 2021: Digital Edition, TGA's 2021 & other 2021 events

I never was. Clearly Returnal is the GOTY, but given its genre, there was no chance for a nomination Good. Can't wait to read your impressions -
And there it is: Spider-Man Miles Morales is now 100% complete 10/10. An absolute marvel. Yes, I'm the first one to make that pun. With some heavy playtime in Super Auto Pets (a cute, casual Auto battler) my game tally is now up to 46 in 2021 (well, 44 'cause I stopped playing two games ).

Finished Spider-Man Miles Morales It. Was. Awesome. Just need New Game+ and two miscellaneous trophies for the Platinum and I'll gladly play it again. So much fun from start to finish. Gonna play on Ultimate to get that extra challenge out of NG+.

Been playing Spider-Man Miles Morales for a few hours today. Apparently 60% done with everything, if the number from the save slot is accurate. So far, it's been awesome. Traversal is as fun as ever and combat feels smooth and satisfying. Insomniac Games are too good at making games.

Aaaaand Sackboy: A Big Adventure has reached its end. What a great game. A marvelous platformer and such a fun time. Especially with friends Highly recommended. Onto Spider-Man Miles Morales. Borrowed it from a mate and can't wait to dive in

With Ace Combat 7 done, I went back to some good old platforming joy. Almost done with world 4 and I did not expect Britney Spears and De Staat to feature in some of the levels Especially De Staat with KITTY KITTY was awesome I think I'm close to catching up with my mate and his girlfriend so we can finish the game together soon
-
Probably something between 10 and 12 hours. Edit: just looked at the trophy list and not sure if I'll go for the Platinum. 3 more playthroughs at least Nah, I'll just play other games

My favourite console ever. Sorry PS4, but you suck now! The only truly next-gen feature so far. Yes, faster loading times and better graphics are great, but the DualSense is a game changer. Especially Returnal's way to use the rumble for directional signals was eye-opening. Easy: Returnal. Housemarque's first AAA game is a masterpiece. That reminds me: still need to get that Platinum. Maybe something for my last gaming achievement in 2021

Timmy, wake the fuck up! Just completed Ace Combat 7's campaign. This was me during the final few missions: It was my first Ace Combat game and definitely not my last. I've got the PS4 version of Ace Combat 5 ready to play and also some DLC missions for Ace Combat 7 left (all courtesy of the AC7 Deluxe Edition). Some negatives about AC7: it starts quite slow; not a huge deal once the pace increases, but at first it's a little annoying a few story threads basically just start and immediately end; would've liked the plot to go a little deeper with certain aspects AI squad mates are useless, quite literally; you must do everything which sometimes is a bit overwhelming Those are minor niggles, though. They don't take away from the experience of a whole, which is simply put: pure video gaming bliss. My fifth 10/10 game this year

Wonder if it's going to be as sexist as How I Met Your Mother. If that show had come out today, it would've been crucified. Will be interesting to see if How I Met Your Father will be met with criticism (assuming it'll be a similar show just with the roles reversed).

Loop Hero isn't that good. Third worst game I've played so far this year

Look Timmy, drahkon's about to talk about Ace Combat 7 again. "Urgh, go away, I wanna sleep." SHUT UP TIMMY. So this game's pretty fucking good Mission variety is surprisingly great. I mean, yes, you fly in an aircraft and do shooty shooty boom boom, but there have been: a "stealth" mission (nothing too crazy, but it works really well) escort missions (which are awesome here) "destroy everything in sight"-missions and more. It's incredible. I think I'm close to the end given how the story progressed in the last few cutscenes. I feel like there has to be some kind of big revelation soon. Something's just not right

1:1 GDLIIATNCAH myosotis I mean, it's clear to me now what this game is about.

Finally got some time to actually play more than 30 minutes yesterday Got the final multiplayer trophy in Ace Combat 7 (play 50 Team Deathmatches). It was a lot of fun simply because the game is a lot of fun Now that there's no multiplayer trophy for me to acquire, I'll focus on the campaign. It has turned into some anime shit over the past few missions. And I mean that in a positive way. Shenanigans like an unknown fighter pilot who just wrecks your ass, a shit-ton of unmanned aircraft that wrecks your ass, a huge aircraft that deploys those UAVs and wrecks your ass. It's crazy And I still can't get over that OST. It's ridiculously good. Can't wait for the weekend to dive back into the campaign

Given my other devices I pretty much have no use for macOS. I was thinking about installing Chromium OS to turn the Macbook into a Google device, albeit a limited one.
-
Pretty big bump and I don't know which thread to use Got a MacBook Pro (2010) from work. They wanted to throw it away... Seems to run just fine but has some serious signs of usage. Would it be worth anything? I.e. would it be worth the hassle to try and sell it? If not, can I do anything with it? I've never used an Apple product so I doubt it's of any real use to me. Unless you can maybe install Windows?

Played this for a bit and it sure is pretty. Other than that, not for me. Gonna be the same way with Gran Turismo 7 as soon as I'll get to try that one Just gimme another Burnout with graphics like these, please
