Seriously..desert? I hope the majority of the game won't have brown as the main colour. Right now I'm not interested in this game at all because it seems like it's the same as the first two with some slight improvements. BUT if someone can tell me that stealth will play a larger role in the game, will be more precise and will have more variation...then I want.

I think I'm almost done with the story. Won't bother with the platinum as I have so much more games to play... For the next game I'd like the setting to be the Cold War. Or maybe even the Second World War...yes, there are enough games that revolve around WWII, but I think Ubisoft can turn it into something more creative than those FPS games. Edit: Finished it...last 4 story related trophies were glitched but who cares. Looking forward to ACIII. Can't wait to see how the story will unfold.

Need to play this again. Maybe on Friday night I'll have the time. Anyone up for some gaming then?
-
Boooh. :p Enter Shikari is awesome. Seen them twice. Tomorrow I'll see them again. Well, yeah..and 30 Seconds To Mars. Gonna be a great night.
-
Of course I don't know, but I do believe so. I didn't say that what I'm saying is the truth but for me that's the most likely scenario. Yeah, we've really gotten very off topic. But it's a nice discussion.

Isn't it far more likely for those children to have better devices for developing their abilities than their parents had instead of 'better genetics'?
-
No, it doesn't. If children attain higher than their parents it only proves that they put in much more effort. Other parent's children can attain even higher than those children, even if they are not related. Dynasties might have this particular structure that children improve in the things their parents were good at, but that's because normally they start the 'training' when they are very young. There is no non-genetic inheritance. As I've said numerous times now, acquired abilities cannot be inherited. It's something that has been proven years ago. Darwin disproved Lamarck's theory of non-genetic inheritance. Edit: Diaego can you please stop being faster than me? :p Ubisoft can cover that.
-
Acquired abilities aren't inherited. Pushing oneself into becoming stronger, or better at something won't make your children more able because it doesn't change your DNA. If a sportsman gets kids these won't necessarily become as good as their dad at his sport or even have the potential to do so. Scientifically it's not a circular argument. Metaphorically it is. Just wanted to clarify.

Then the only struggle humans are facing is to reproduce more and before they die in order to pass on their genes.
-
No, it isn't. Becoming the next Bruce Lee or Einstein isn't the same as changing genetically. If a person pushes himself or herself into being stronger or more intelligent those abilities won't get inherited. Lamarck had the same thought: Animals change because they need to change and those changes will be passed on to the next generations. But that's been disproven (disproved?). Edit: Just as Diageo says. I agree with you there, but as I said it doesn't really affect evolution. Yours is one, too, then. :p It depends from which point one is viewing evolution. If one thinks evolution is an active process, I guess your points are valid. I, however, think evolution is passive. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to 'attack' your point of view. I've had a lot of conversations about this topic and most of the time people thought I wanted to convince them that my standpoint is the correct and only one. But that's not the case.
-
Yup, good idea. Might get me back into playing Minecraft
-
I went from there. For me it seems you say that throughout the next I don't know, billion years evolution makes humans able to use more than 10% (or whatever limit it is) of their brains. And then you went on about how we can accelerate evolution. Sorry if I misinterpreted. So you're saying that we already possess the potential to use more of our brains and that we need to "train" it, instead of sitting around? If so, what has evolution to do with it? I disagree. This sounds like species intend to evolve, but that's never been the case. The need to escape danger does not induce evolution, evolution generates the ability to escape.

Tell that to the team that found out about this incredible organism, which might change Biology in its entirety. Yes, 99% of the people aren't able to find/figure out stuff that will have an impact on science or on humanity. But I think that many of them MIGHT have the intelligence to do so, they simply don't have the means (money, time, etc.). Oh, and you said that evolution can be accelerated? I don't think it's possible. Evolution, rather the events that lead to evolution (DNA-mutations, selection...) are random. If at any point in the future a great mind is born (I believe that 'fate' is another word for DNA-mutations, but that's a different story), he or she will find out something essential. The wisdom will be passed on. His/her genes might not. We are able to induce mutations into organisms (partly accelerating evolution), but we don't let them evolve as they might do in nature.

It's my birthday sad news indeed

Got every gold trophy in the first two licenses. Geez, what a night Before I'll tackle the next license I'll probably do some A-Spec or B-Spec races.

Only the first 30 seconds are interesting. I like the word.

I knew I suck at driving games (especially at driving simulators) but man...I didn't think I'd suck this much. I can't get a gold trophy in the National License Event 5 (Basic Cornering Theory - Slow in, Fast out). Tried it about 30 times (seriously) last night and just couldn't do it... I'm considering getting a wheel for Christmas. Right now I don't have the moneys...playing with a pad is ok, I guess, but a wheel would be awesome. Oh and: If there's anybody who hasn't added me already, feel free to do so ID is on the left.

Got this for 40€. My sister knows someone working at a games shop. Well, the Sly Collection will be my last game(s) this year and I won't buy anymore anytime soon in the next year...got Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Fallout: New Vegas, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, Gran Tursimo 5 and next month The Sly Collection. Should keep me busy. Looking forward to playing GT 5 even though I suck at driving games.

I've never really gotten into West's music but I'd love to give this one a try. Might listen to it somewhere before I buy it... Power is amazing.
-
YES! And: Never heard of them...Amazon recommended it to me. Listened to one song...and bought it.
-
If you say so... I like them. Looking forward to future races. Read they will become more and more difficult.
