My heart is empty.
-
I haven't used any of those services in months and not once have I seen them in my quick list.

My exo suit has 34 slots, my ship has 27 and my multi tool 24 : peace: I'd say exploring the moon was worth it My finances have taken a hit, though...I must've spend close to 2 million units. Again...finding that last species appears to be impossible. I can't find it anywhere. Not in caves, not in open spaces, not in the sky and there's no water on the planet so not underwater.

You always find the right words I went with photos we took on our first vacation together.

@Animal that sucks...get well soon. It's my girlfriend's birthday tomorrow and because money is tight I won't be able to give her fancy gifts. It kinda makes me sad I know she doesn't mind but still... In case you're interested: I bought her a PSVita pouch: (in red, though). And I printed out three photos of us and bought a frame. She doesn't really like how she looks in photos so she can pick out the best out of the three and put it in the frame.

Eurogamer.net - No Man's Sky Sony's 2nd biggest ever PS4 launch in UK Awesome. : peace: It's great for the devs but also great for us. If Hello Games keep their promise (free updates/content) the profit they made (assuming they made profit) will only benefit them and in turn us. Edit: Love the reactions to the news: Piece of shit game sells well, full priced indie game sells well, only hype sold the game, boring game, industry is doomed. Gotta love the gaming community.

In his last attempt Christoph Harting won the gold medal in discus throwing Unbelievable, just as unbelievable as his behaviour afterwards, especially during the award ceremony. He fooled about during the national anthem. He tried to be funny in an interview later ("I like good music, I like rythm and it's difficult to dance to the anthem") but his behaviour was disrespectful, especially to his team mate who won the bronze medal. Last night our Hockey team came back after conceding 2:0 in the quarter finals. What a game...3 goals in the final 5 minutes with the winning goal in the last second. I watched it live and I couldn't fall asleep for 2 hours after that

I don't know what exactly the Atlas questline involves. As far as I know I don't follow it. I ignored that red orb on my crash site. But I still would love to get the Atlas pass. If you get directed towards it during that questline that's great, but there has to be a way to get it without the guidance. I'll most likely get it eventually...somehow...hopefully.

Woah, woah, woah. 29th November? That's my birthday. Wouldn't mind that :p

Yeah, finding that last species...pretty sure that I will eventually stop caring about cataloguing every animal Right now I'm spending so much time on planets that it's not a big deal if it takes hours Travelled to a different Star System for the first time and landed on a planet without hazards :awesome: It's a watery planet so walking around is not my main method of exploration. Found a ruin underwater. I hope that underwater movement will become quicker with future updates because it took quite a while before I reached it. I also managed to find another crashed ship which I claimed for myself. I now have a ship with 28 slots I wonder when I will finally find that Atlas Pass...would love to access those doors and cargo drops. During my space flight I got attacked by three pirate ships...holy shit, didn't expect it to be that tough. My shields dropped 3 times. I survived, though.

I think Drop Pods can only give you 1+ slot upgrades. Other upgrades can be found via various means. Great to hear that you're enjoying it Yes, it has several issues but it's a good survival/exploration game, a technical achievement and as Eurogamer put it so aptly: "Hello Games' lush galactic odyssey is a unique work of engineering art - and an engrossing, if flawed, game. " Looking forward to No Man's Sky's future.

Upgraded my Exosuit. It now has 28 slots. Bought a new ship and found three crashed ships. My current has 27 slots and has everything repaired except for the Warp Drive. I'm on the fourth planet of my first Starsystem. It has lots of gold, so before I repair and fuel the Warp Drive and venture deeper into space I will collect and sell some gold. Managed to find a blueprint to craft Antimatter. Pretty stoked

Haven't had a chance to play yesterday because I was at my girlfriend's and I couldn't play today because I was studying. But I've finished for today so...time to go back into space It's absolutely astounding how in the last 48 hours I kept thinking about what I'll do the next time I'll start up NMS. I can't wait to see what Hello Games will add in the future. The game is perfect for me as it is (and I haven't seen much, yet), so all the new content we'll see will be icing on the cake.

There's always the other thread :p

Landed on my very first planet with water. It's beautiful. I've crafted a hyperdrive and fuelled it, as well, so I could warp to a different star system but I won't With the new save I've ignored that little ball on my crash site so I didn't even get to choose between Atlas' guidance or no guidance. I still got objectives that I "need" to follow, so I guess this is not Atlas' guidance?

You, sir, SUCK.
-
Based on what you said, I would say yes.
-
It's incredible, isn't it? Had the same experience last night. It was beautiful... I'm supposed to go to my girlfriend's today and spend time with her...but I want to play No Man's Sky.

See you tomorrow :p

6 hours on my first planet (new save). Still haven't found the last species for 100% discovery...I want that sweet 175,000 units bonus. Well, I've found a couple of drop pods so all is fine. As soon as I find that species I will fly into space and explore another planet. This game, guys...this game.
-
New save, let's see... Definitely cold... ...but beautiful. Discovered this little fella. And this crazy son of a bitch... I wanted to stop playing 2 hours ago...but one more "?"...found a transmission tower that sent me to a ruin. On my way there I found a drop pod and a monolith. After that I reached the ruin and thought: "Well, one more "?""... Yeeeaaaaahhh.

I was thinking of waypoints that could help you to find your way out of a huge cave or to remind of a certain facility that you need to explore. But what about a device which maps out the planet or preferably a small area around you? I think I'll delete my save and start from scratch. It was my plan all along. Play for a day to get used to everything and then begin again "for real". It's not like the knowledge I have now will give me big advantave on my new save. There's no real reason for this approach, it's just something I've decided on a couple of days ago Also: Apparently I still got the Atlas Guidance even though I declined it Hope this doesn't happen again. Edit: Save deleted I have to eat now, though...Playing this makes me forget everything... I hope that I'll remember taking more screenshots now that I know what I have to expect in the beginning.

I can see how people don't like the game. I do think, however, that NMS is not a game for the majority of those (based on criticism I've read today). It's a game about exploration and survival. In my first 5 hours with the game which were spent entirely on the starting planet I've explored maybe 5% of the planet, mined resources, survived, discovered plants, discovered animals, discovered caves, discovered ruins, learned more words for the alien language...it's all a bit samey but for me this isn't a criticism with NMS. You can compare it to (vanilla) Minecraft: After a couple of hours you've seen everything there is but due to the procedurally generated world it's always a little bit different. Most importantly, though, the way you play makes every moment special. (With Minecraft the building aspect is huge, obviously. Hopefully NMS can deliver something like this, too.) I feel it's the same with NMS. If you don't like an experience similar to this you shouldn't have bought No Man's Sky. I think it was clear for a few months now that this is a game about exploration and discovery. The criticism I've read the most: "I've played this for 30 hours and feel like I've seen everything." Well, of course...you've played this for fucking 30 hours Anyway, tl;dr: I can understand the criticism but I'd say the game is only for gamers who enjoy discovery. NMS is wonderful and is definitely a game that defines this generation. A couple of things I'd like to see in the future: - Some kind of mapping. Simply being able to set waypoints which are visible on your HUD would be a great help (actually, I can't believe how the devs didn't think of that...). - Aliens don't feel like a true "living thing". There are no cities, you only see one specimen at a time and they are basically just traders. It works fine for now but I think there need to be alien races that feel like a civilization. - Being able to build stuff. But we're getting that so...awesome - flying should be reworked. You should be able to fly much more freely, i.e. not be locked at a certain altitude above ground. Let me try and land everywhere myself, let me boost through the air 50m above ground, let me risk crashing my ship. Still, I freaking love No Man's Sky. It has it's flaws but it certainly is a game that will be amongst my favourites forever. I mean, there's something wonderful about looking at the horizon and seeing 3 planets in the sky and knowing you can fly there if you want to.

Yeah Still haven't left the planet. I want to get the money bonus for discovering 100% of the species. Two left. I know that one are those flying fucks that I simply cannot analyze...managed to shoot one but couldn't find its dead body after it dropped to the ground Edit: 100% discovery achieved...can't redeem my 250,000 units. The button won't work... Edit²: It was glitchy because I kept getting disconnected from the servers. I got the money now Reached my second planet after acquiring the Warp Drive. It's radioactive but I can deal with it. Two more species to go here and 100% discoveryachieved. Will explore some more later tonight. : peace:
