  1. Bought the Legacy Pro Edition today. : peace: Downloading everything now. Can't wait. I'll be at a birthday party Friday night, though...damn real life
  2. So these are the first two Kingdom Hearts games for PS4, am I understanding this correctly? Need to catch up with the story so this seems like a perfect opportunity.
  3. Thanks @S\.C\.G. and @Fierce_LiNk The funeral of my former classmate is tomorrow and I had to leave work early just now because I couldn't concentrate. I'm really not good with funerals...well, who is, I guess...
  4. Now that we know how long we have to wait for further information, I'll say it again: Nintendo killed the momentum they've gained. Reading around the internet it appears I'm one of a few who think that way. Good for Nintendo that it's only a few, then
  5. Because I make a savings plan based on the price of whatever I'd like to buy. As a student with not a lot of income it's the only way to make sure I still have money for rent and certain activities (theatre, buy video games, bowling, drinking, etc.) Example: I know what PSVR costs so I can estimate what I can spend on free time activities. I don't know what the Switch will cost so I don't know how much I can spend.
  6. Didn't even know it had been confirmed before. Well, that's me not saving my money for the Switch but instead for something else.
  7. I actually didn't want to buy anymore videogame stuff until FFXV comes out (especially since I pre-ordered Infinite Warfare) but I just found out about the new Dark Souls III DLC so...
  8. Never played the 3DS version but I recommend playing it on a big screen with good headphones or a great soundsystem. The graphics are a bit dated but it's still an incredible audiovisual journey.
  9. To me, it's the perfect video game. Impeccable gameplay (them boss fights...that one boss fight!), great setting, engrossing story, amazing characters, incredible music...everything just works. So yes, I rate it very highly
  10. Just got told that a former classmate has died. Suicide apparently. After we'd finished school we didn't really stay in contact since we both went our own ways but still...
  11. The course is intended to be very interactive so conversations will be a big part of the lessons. I also want to give Japanese a try when I'm at a restaurant for example, or when I meet Japanese students. Obviously video games and anime will become quite important for listening comprehension (I improved my English soooo much with video games in my early teenage years; still do, actually). Ah, I see. My biggest fear was how difficult grammar would be but that doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by hiragana's and katakana's symbols/signs. There are so many Awesome, thanks : peace: Already downlaoded the pdf for the grammar guide and will use it on my tablet I'll also take a look at the app. What exactly is kanji? Isn't it kinda like "hieroglyphs", i.e. a symbol looks a bit like a fish, for example, and its meaning is fish? Or are there also kanji that just symbolize syllables like in hiragana and katakana? Is kanji used in conjunction with hiragana and katakana?
  12. My mate and I keep getting better at the standard playlist but we still can't wait to get back to the hardcore playlist in the full game Really loving some of the guns. That SMG which has an alternative "assault mode" and the assault rifle with the "Akimbo machine pistol mode"...awesome. : peace: Will be interesting to see whether we'll spend more time with IW or MWR.
  13. I'm going to attend a Japanese course at university starting next Monday Always wanted to give that language a go. Pretty sure it will be incredibly difficult @Debug Mode you're living in Japan right now, am I remembering this correctly? Any advice for learning Japanese?
  14. For the Japanese course I'm taking at university. Starts on Monday and I cannot wait.
  15. Some assholes unleashed a DDoS attack on the servers of Dyn. PSN (among others) is down as a result. Source
  16. I don't pay attention to rumours, but thanks anyway It just baffles me how Nintendo doesn't capitalize on the initial buzz they've created with the trailer. People want specs, people want more information on OS and online infrastructure, people want games. I wanted to respond to your posts but after th...OH LOOK A SQUIRREL.
  17. Looks like we won't see more news anytime soon... Source Why? After that trailer it would've been great to get a list of specs and features. As it is now I'm losing interest again. It's so frustrating with Nintendo. For everything they do right, they make more mistakes... They need to get the specs out way before Christmas. I fear for Nintendo that people will spend their savings on devices already available, and even moreso if they don't know about what exactly the Switch will provide.
  18. You called? Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not the device I was hoping to see but it's something that could do very well. I wanted a dedicated home console without the screeny-thingy and only that incredible looking Switch Pro Controller (or whatever it's called). But that was just my dream console from Nintendo. I'll definitely get this but most likely way down the line, maybe in 1 1/2 or two years. Unless I have a lot of money to spare and the price is really good.
  19. Well, that was short... Should've called it "teaser" instead.
  20. For me, it's the utter disappointment that the Wii U was that still makes me sceptical about the Switch. That and the fact that we were promised so much but only a fraction of those promises have been held... Don't get me wrong, though, I kinda like the concept and it's great that the Switch is being received so nicely (deservedly so, if you look at it objectively). If Nintendo can build upon that and bring back some old magic they're onto something big. I really hope they get it right. After all, they still have a place in my heart.
  21. I thought I was the only one Will hold off any judgement until I've seen more of the game.
  22. I get what you mean but it's Nintendo so "logically" is always dangerous :p Yeah, Nintendo's new console would only be something to buy if it had a great 1st party line-up from the start. As it is now it looks like a device I'll buy in 2 years. Exactly my thoughts when I saw that poster, too. It's great for Nintendo-only gamers but for others not so much. By the way: Joy-Con controller? Ah, Nintendo...you never fail to disappoint What I forgot to mention: Those Joy-Con controllers (....) look way too small...even with that weird attachment/link-thingy between them (when they're not connected to the screen). You know what would've gotten me excited? If the Switch was called NX and didn't have that second screen. Just the box and the standard looking controller.
  23. https://www.twitch.tv/rockstargames So excited
  24. Just talked about it with my best mate and we share the same views: good trailer interesting concept, but the portable device looks too big to be "really" portable (not sure how to explain this) assumption: lackluster 1st party launch line-up (Zelda, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon - all ports; and a new Mario) assumption: another Nintendo console with an additional controller (we both hate having more than a dedicated controller) worry: promises of huge 3rd party support; we both know how that went down with the Wii U worry: too much focus on the "switch" aspect which in turn could result in a neglected online infrastructure worry: battery...it needs at least 5 hours of handheld-play wish: great specs We came to the conclusion that this would only be a day-one purchase if we had a lot of money to spare (contrary to what I said in my last post in here). For now I'll wait and see what Nintendo will bring to the table in the coming months.
  25. Good trailer, a little too much real life for my taste, though Nothing really new. The name is catchy, not in the Wii brand and suits the concept. Well done. It's a hybrid, who could've guessed Looks easy enough to use. Looks much more comfortable than the Gamepad, but I think that was to be expected. Not bad, not bad at all. Love the new controller. Looks really comfortable. Not sure about the size for the portable aspect. Looks too big to slide it into your pocket. Like the idea, though. If it comes with a case for the screen + attached controllers I'll be a happy man. NBA (2k, I guess?) and Skyrim. Hopefully an indication for better 3rd party support. New Mario, whose artstyle looks too close to Super Mario 3D World, in my opinion. Will refrain from judging until I've seen more. Great trailer for the first glimpse. Well done, Nintendo. Now the real work begins: We need specs, price point, plans for 1st party support, plans for 3rd party support, online structure and OS. I'm definitely intrigued and interested. If the price will be 299€ max and with a decent launch line-up I will get it day-one.
