just though I'd bump this up as its getting released next friday! EDIT: Sorry admin's about the bump but I thought it would be better to use the old thread rather than start a whole new one, plus its out next friday so thought was about time to talk about it again, i'm really looking forward to it:)

Bad news for PSP, Walmart stops selling UMD-movies
monkeyDluffy replied to Teppo Holmqvist's topic in Other Consoles
The UMD's problem is that you don't need it to watch movies, most people realised it a long time ago that you might as well buy the dvd and rip it to the PSP memory card. -
the one thing i did notice is that both on the website and the actual show that he says a baseball game will be available at launch, guess thats another to add to the list, could be the canned GC game Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball? could be EA who knows?!
-
Thanks Bigtac! so about £30-40 probably = good internet prices sounds good, I think I remember reggie saying a while ago that the name is related to the big secret that their hiding.
-
even though the development will be cheaper it doesn't mean that the saving will be passed onto the user though, hopefully it will though.
-
anyone see the rev/revmote on the gadget show CH5 UK? They seem to like it alot! Except nintendo only sent them the cardboard version to play with!
-
was just wondering have you heard anything about rev's game pricing? ie will it be the same or less than 360/PS3?
-
I agree with mike-zim, if you read his exact words, it makes it sound as if he's saying - if they do launch worldwide it will be because they think its the right thing to do. I do agree that it needs to happen though, otherwise its just like turning up to a party too late and everyones asleep.
-
how about "super happy joy joy japanese death machine"? or SHJJJDM for short:)
-
as someone said above it could be another part of rev, maybe the online system or just its menu item, we'll find out in about 3 hours possibliy.

6.30pm GMT I think

the logo has a very similar shape to the GC symbol, looks like 3 "GO's" stuck togeather, as for GO, doesn't sound too bad. Could GO mean the final rev secert is portablity?
-
was just thinking and if they did copy it wouldn't it sort of kill the need for the eyetoy, which sony have said will be used alot on PS3.

http://news.spong.com/article/9806 Good news for anyone wanting to buy a PlayStation 3 when it debuts this winter today as SCE confirms that the massively unpopular boomerang controller shown at last year's E3 is not the final design that will launch alongside the console. The change was confirmed today at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, with keynote man Phil Harrison commenting to us that the design has, thankfully, been scrapped. A new, unspecified design is underway, with PlayStation executives slated to unveil the new pad at E3 in May of this year.

is it just me or is at a bit strange that sony are holding back on revealing their new ps3 controller! If its just a normal controller why the wait till e3? Could it be that the revmote is being copied? I thought nintendo were just being a bit paranoid about it being copied but this makes me think they were right! Having said that the revmote is a little too strange for sony I would have thought, who knows?!

animal crossing could have huge possibilities, to keep it simple ish. I was thinking you can have the normal village to start with, like normal, but have a return of the train from the GC version, could use the train to go online and this would take you too a city. A city could be set up for europe, US and japan, to keep the numbers down for each one, but you could have an airport and go on holiday to these other cities. The cities could have loads of stuff in them, like a nintendo world store or pokemon store were you could buy items and retro games, could have markets were players could setup stalls to sell fruit or old junk, could even have cinemas running nintendos forth coming animations or old pokemon episodes etc. Just a couple of ideas probably never happen, but what do ya think?
-
I think they need to get a rough date out like PS3, just say oct-nov release or something, they need to get it out before PS3 though, before sony swamp everything with marketing, plus if nintendo don't release everywhere at once(roughly), it would be a really bad idea. Come on Ninty, do me proud!

through out the post were bolded letters that have disappeared when I copied and pasted, but they formed the words "virtualrealitymovie georgelucas theatre reggie marketing" His last post: "Thursday, March 09, 2006 Fired, NDA Broken, Experiment failed. Dear Readers, I’ve enjoyed spoiling information about our upcoming game No End Soon for several months. There’s only one huge problem, I’m fired and the experiment failed. Without noticing it seems I’ve indeed broken our NDA with Nintendo. While this doesn’t have direct influence on the game development of No End Soon, it has direct consequences for me personally. In other words, this experiment failed and I’m fired. This also means everything I’ve scheduled in the past is cancelled forever. I’ve no permission to reply to any comments anymore, so please understand this will be my last post here forever. Everything which will remain unclear is something I can’t help. I regret it has to go this way, as I really enjoyed this unique development cycle. While this last post may be seen as some kind of victory for some of you, I can assure you this is something you didn’t want to happen and you will understand why at E3. This post will be up for only a few days and gets deleted afterwards. I’m not aware any more of what is happing in the project, so I simply can’t update you anymore, as I'm gone. I’m fired for a few weeks already, but today I decided to tell you all it happened. Now to end this last post, I’d like to thank you all, both believers and disbelievers. Both of you will be surprised at E3, when both of you can see this product in running action in real time. The fun will in fact start in a few days already actually. The last minute change which happened at GCD was real, whether you believe me or not. This information will be revealed at GCD. Before I got fired I was aware of some things –not all- that Mr.Iwata will announce at GCD. It will be a true E3-teaser show. I lied about the controller changes? I did not, you will see at GCD. Remember the minor changes I told you before about the controller (reason why I’ve never showed you a full picture of the controller). You will NOT know anything about the third revolutionary aspect at GCD, but you will certainly get teased. You will know lots of new details. You will know more about the DVD attachment. You will know more about the flash memory. You will know more about Revolution-DS connectivity. You will know more about (if not all) about Virtual Console. You will hear new game announcements. You will NOT see actual game screenshots/video of Revolution games, but you will see the controller in action of the you know which highly anticipated game. You will get almost exactly the same global release date schedule as I’ve given before. This GCD will be a real preview of what’s coming at E3. To end this I strongly suggest you all and specially the non believers to keep an eye at the minor changes of the controller. You should be able to know which NDA I’ve broken as these minor changes will more or less reveal the third revolutionary controller. The official website of this game will launch days before E3. I was told this before I got fired as well. No End Soon working title is gone and replaced by the final name. As soon the website will turn up I will turn up at IGN/Gamespot to confirm this, which will prove this whole experiment was real, but failed because I’ve gave in to much into requests of give more hints. Please enjoy the future, Signing out – Mr.Inc"

from the vids I just watched looks alot like everybody's golf on the psp/ps2 and that seem to sell ok, so some people must like this kind of game, looks quite fun. like mario golf. The game might not even make it out of japan anyway. And if they don't use the controller as the club I will be very very shocked. Graphics and animations are quite nice too, rev should be even better though.
-
Chances are their will be something at GDC as with both nintendo and sony speaking, the chances of revo and PS3 info are good and with sony speaking on the same day(i think) chances are nintendo won't be so worried about them stealing ideas.
-
just thought about the drumming game, you could have a online version of band brothers were each person could play an instrument online in one song or just a normal one player game were you pick an instrument and play that part in a song like a normal music game, I think that would be quite sweet! It might even be possible to get the controller to roughly work like guitar hero thats coming out for the PS2, which would rock:)

BigTac, have you been on your trip to EA yet? was it EA? or somewhere else, cause I remember you saying that after ubi your were off somewhere.
