  1. If I remember correctly when IGN had a play around with one of the dev units a bit back they said that the revmote was fully functional.
  2. http://www.jeux-france.com/news15301_e3-2006-les-plans-des-stands.html E3 plans for this year, nintendo and sony facing off! right next too each other!
  3. http://uk.revolution.ign.com/objects/814/814997.html it was cars, well according to IGN, hopefully they saw some other stuff too!
  4. wasn't the THQ title "cars" from the film? and something else?
  5. pretty sure there is gonna be two sensors, nintendo said that you can either keep them on the bar or stick them to the tv, how thats gonna happen I have no idea.
  6. those pics are dodgy resolution, lets just wait for E3, its like, what? 3 weeks today!
  7. i'm slightly disappointed cause if this isn't out until november in US, then the 5-6 expansion disks by mid 2007 i read about must have been bull. Sounds cool though!
  8. good point stabby! I think alot is lost today with the obsession with everything having to look real, why!? the whole point of gaming is to go to fantasy worlds and strange looking worlds where you can't go in real life, ie escape the real world. Plus you've got to ask yourself, what is reality? graphics alone? or the interactivty with an environment + something that seems to have a heart and sole.
  9. having said that the controller at GDC was the one from TGS apparently, or so I read somewhere on IGN.
  10. yeah I broke three or four during testing, the clips on the end of the wires were the main problem they broke really easily.
  11. I tested the first gametrak game, a fighting game called darkwind and the thing is a pain in the ass, you can't do anything when your attached too it cause the strings are pulling you back, plus if you do walk any distance then the base unit flips over and goes flying, plus the calibration is really random sometimes, the major problem for me was the wires are always being pulled down to keep the tension so it can measure where you are properly and this puts alot of strain on your back and shoulders when in a boxing type postion, after testing it 6-7 hours a day for 2-3 months I could hardly move my arms up and it took a good 3-4 months for my shoulders to recover:( otherwise the thing itself is quite good at measuring were you are but the rev controller seems so much better as it can measure a lot more directions and provide much more complicated movements, specifically the wrist rotation. I don't know how he can say it is more flexible, cause the rev controller is a small remote and the gametrak is a huge heavy thing with wires etc very restricting and it also has less rotation possibilities! I got a free game+gametrak when I left the company and I've only played it twice cause its to big an ass to get out of the box everytime, where as the revmote is gonna be really easy, it just doesn't compare!
  12. McMad to the rescue! That must be the one! It was in a japanese article so I must have mis understood the part about 7, thanx for the info and saving my poor brain!
  13. glad I could be of service:) I'm never gonna live this down now:( DAMN YOU BRAIN!
  14. haven't they remade 7 for the PS2 recently? EDIT: i was sure i read somewhere they were, but I can't seem to find any info on it if they have, maybe I saw the PS3 demo vid thing?
  15. well they are releasing all the early final fantasy for GBA and 3 for DS so maybe 6 or even 7 isn't out of the question?!!?
  16. Yeah its stranglehold, or something like that, a john woo game with chow yun fat in it, their is a rummour that this will see light on the rev at some point due to midway having a couple of games in development! EDIT: just noticed over 1000 posts in one thread, a record?
  17. http://www.jeux-france.com/news15224_final-fantasy-iii-compatible-wi-fi.html its gonna be nintendo wifi connection(online) compatiable, plus on the link are some screens, don't think their all new though?!?! Also it could be released in japan in july!
  18. I think alot of the problem with next gen is what we THINK next gen is, In my head I still expect final fantasy cut scene quality graphics, but what next gen is really is current gen with extra lighting, texture etc effects, which is really what those screen shots are! GC + Bells and whistles:)
  19. its really strange, their are some really nice shots and some slightly dodgy ones, I think the scan didn't help the textures though! Lets just wait until a video is out or some official shots. Not sure if their are any realtime shadows though:(
  20. not sure about the IR looking bit on the end, but the wand on the TV is needed to calculate the distance you are from the TV. I think it uses a sensor on either end of the wand to triangulate(bad spelling) the position of the controller, the IR might be used to provide more accurate position data when pointed at the screen.
  21. i've read somewhere that apparently they are goinna release 5-6 extra disks for it by mid 2007!
  22. having said that the GC never really had a problem with jaggys so should be fine, PS2 was really the only console that had bad problem with it.
  23. when you say jaggys, do you mean odjects that are meant to be round but you can see they are made from flat sides OR do you mean the sort of shimmering you get from edges etc from current gen titles? EDIT: AHHH! perfect dark the most glossed game ever, why is everything plastic coverd?
  24. i was playing on easy all day just to get the hang of it, but tried a bit of medium tonight and HOW HARD IS IT! my brain just dies, I am tired though, will have a go tomorrow and try to make my pinky finger work!
  25. hope the jaggys are just becuase its not running on full power yet, ie not so much anti aliasing
