Well that's just not true now, is it? I know for sure I've seen another level shown outside of the trailer and that they revealed a rather meaningful secret of that level too. And if your say it wasn't Nintendo themselves, they at the very least allowed someone else to play the level and show it.

There's a difference between showing a few new things in a trailer alongside gameplay footage then waiting for reviews to hit to sell your game and the amount they put out out for Smash. They were gradually drip feeding information for Smash until you were left with a very solid understanding of exactly what would be there when you put the disc in. Not cool for me. This isn't really the point anyway because obviously some people like to be spoiled. My point was that I won't be reading any more Mario Oddysey news as it seems they're doing their usual thing of telling you too much about what will be in the game. I know I want this game, as do I imagine most here, so extra information isn't going to inform my purchase, just spoil me. I'd rather be surprised on the day.

But that's still massively spoiling. Telling you in advance of a game's release the new characters who will be in it and their moves, what new items there are and what they do, photos of new stages etc...is massively spoiling the game, regardless of whether they are things you unlock or not.

I'm not going in this thread until after launch. Nintendo are doing their usual shiz where they seem hell bent on spoiling every level/feature/item etc ahead of release, Smash Bros. style.

I really hope they still give a release date for Stardew Valley tomorrow.

This sounds like if an alien were to assess all the games side by side, at the same time, with no knowledge of provenance. There's so much history, charm and background to Gen 1. It's essentially what Pokémon is, while everything else has been an attempt to continue what was there.

Regarding Prime subscriptions as well, I recommend this tip to get it half price for life (once you get student Prime, it just auto renews as a student Prime subscription forever). It also refunds your existing non student subscription days left and gives you another 6 months free.

On the rare chance anything does not come the day they say, always get on chat with them if you can. I've wrangled free 30 days extra Prime from them many times this way.

Did they ever get Pokémon Go working in the background (and I don't mean that watch thing)? I know it's not made by the same company, but that's a serious flaw in the app that wasn't fixed as far as I know, so I wouldn't automatically assume that everything will work out fine here either.

It doesn't have voice chat. You have to use an external app, which as far as I can see puts it in the same box as using Skype.

I think it would be pretty bad even as a supplement. Sound quality wouldn't be good when talking like on a speakerphone and that's what other people would hear in the games.
