Amen mother******! People saying that the best time for games is now are crackpots. Scratch it off then rewrite it in gold ink.

This would be great for a ringtone, while a text sound quite simply could be this. Both chocobo themed, both lovely.

The only reason it's worth watching these shows is to watch people's dreams get crushed, not fulfilled. It can be a right thigh-slapper. Having said that, I'm happy to announce that I didn't watch this.
-
Pushing Dasies was one of the most boring American shows I have watched of recent times. It felt like Desperate Housewives (with how perfect they tried to make it look) but covered in cheese. I don't care if there are countless faults people can find with Heroes - all I know is that it beats the shit out PD and for me is far more fun to watch.

I think they should have made Naruto's move look more powerful by actually shredding him to pieces, or even dust. Other than that it was a good episode, especially since Shikamaru is easily the best character in the anime.

Don't be such a fucking toolshed; Samsung are a good brand. Just because you own a different brand it doesn't mean you should go around slagging off other ones to make you feel elite. There are cheap models within brands but you can't just write Samsung off.

So you only ejaculate after some of the orgasms? If that's what you're like now imagine how you'll be when you're 60!

I think we need Robert Webb from the Mitchell and Webb Look sketches to come and sort this out... He'd be in a room with the developers of this game and be saying: "Right guys...what are we going to need to MAKE THIS HAPPEN?! We'll be up all night if we have to!! How much money and how many pounds to get this expansion pack made? I'll get some takeaways in, we'll be doing an all-nighter here!" Also I just remembered something I really disliked on CC - swimming down to the area where you release Clanker's Chain. That was just annoying as there was some fiddly swimming through the key and going after glooper's bubbles.
-
Least favourite? Woah...I loved that level. Especially due to it lasting a while longer than the others because it came in four parts. My least favourite level would probably be Clanker's Cavern, due to the over-reliance on swimming. Swimming just wasn't that for me. Favourite levels would have to be Freezy Peak, Treasure Trove Cove and Click Clock Wood. All great. :awesome:

Well, in all honesty... BK > SM64 > BT = Sunshine > DK64 = BK: N&B Note: I didn't like DK64. :p Banjo Kazooie is easily the cream of the crop, and one of the best games ever created. Mario Galaxy tops either Mario game probably, but for the purpose of this list I'd say Mario 64 is better than Tooie (Tooie was quite tedious at times). Sunshine was dumbed down a bit due to the ease of having a backpack to correct platforming mistakes - but then the backpackless levels made up for this a bit. I'd say I got similar levels of enjoyment from Tooie and Sunshine. DK64 is easily one of the most tedious games I've ever played. The fact that different coloured items would be spaced around a level and mixed with other coloured ones meant there was so much switching in DK barrels and returning to spots. Backtracking and just a general lack of magic usually present in Rare games made me dislike this quite a bit. Equally unliked would have to be BK:N&B. I've gone through all the reasons in this topic plenty, but put simply it is repetetive and broken (in particular weight problematic vehicles). That, and it (for me) just isn't that fun to play. Not anywhere near the original platformer, anyway. I loved the feeling of my character having abilities, rather than having to use vehicles for abilities.

Dragon Quest VIII - Why is it So Good?
Sheikah replied to Grazza's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Easiest way is to Dragon Soul but also use 2 Timbrel of Tensions (give to Yangus and Angelo, google if unsure how to get them) so that you can boost everyone's tension by 2 levels each turn. Then get Jessica's best whip (roulette) and use Twin Dragon Lash. Heals all round, Falcon Blade + Falcon Slash on Angelo (4 hits) and keep on Dragon Souling like crazy (ignores defence). Absolutely slaughters anything thrown at you. -
The credits LOLOLO Nah, the best bit for me would be that optional several-floor dungeon (forget the name) or finally getting out of the first town, because I hated it so much.

What they want and what is sensible for sales (and overall customer satisfaction) is a different thing. And yeah, they're a business, they should have been thinking about sales. It's not a surprise that this game didn't do too well in sales.
-
It's obtainable from chests in S rank missions (it recommends L80+ to do them). Also apparently they can be obtained in the Meltokio arena somehow.
-
It is precisely like the game, unfortunately. What you do in the demo is pretty much what you do for the entire game.

Dragon Quest VIII - Why is it So Good?
Sheikah replied to Grazza's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Probably the best soundtrack to any game (or on a Par with FFVIII - it seems VIII's have all the luck) and easily one of the best visual styles. It's a marvellous game, and one that I enjoyed putting over a 100 hours into to do absolutely everything. Truly one of the best games there is, let alone one of the best RPGs. If you haven't played this before and have PS2/PS3 (with PS2 compatibility) then get this. It's a fantastic game. -
That's kinda weird, as the whole thing felt very Tooie (crap music and level design). Plus given all the Tooie elements (namely dependence on FPS sections as well as the level linking up to Witchyworld) it didn't feel BK-like. if it had have been on BK it probably would have been less tedious and very different.
-
Yeah, GI was terrible. It felt like a chore, and it took me hours before I even got my first jiggy. By 40 mins I'd have some of the harder levels on BK completed. Many developers think they need to make things bigger and more complex to make them better. This isn't true...people wouldn't mind more levels that are shorter and more magical than constant backtrack tedium.
-
Those two worlds did seem more special than the rest, so that could be the case. But they were slightly ruined by increased complexity...areas barricaded off until later when you learned new moves in other levels (ugh), splitting up and backtracking to a spot, switching to all the different egg types (not the worst thing, but still meh) and too much mini game focus. I loved BK because you had all the moves on your person, and apart from one instance of getting the running shoes and going back to a place for a race, you could do each level as you went along. There wasn't tireless backtracking constantly either and switching between different modes/transformations (just the one switch occasionally on some levels). God, I loved BK so much more than BT.
-
Did you ever get VIII one the PS2 (if you have one)? That's probably one of the best games there is on the PS2. Worth every penny. The soundtrack alone would be worth the purchase.
-
I felt the opposite about COD4 though, so I'll be all right. COD4 to me felt like a bunch of people with no lives killing you in half a second from nowhere. Couldn't be assed getting into it (when playing it at a friend's). Got into Resistance quite quickly.

So do I, although I disliked the Grunty-specific questions as there was no way I could remember 3 things per Brentilda conversation. Kinda annoyed me when I lost a lot of health due to that. Is the quiz not listed as a mini game from the main menu? If not, they really should have implemented that. I have a great idea that makes so much sense. They should get a group of guys who made Zelda OoT/Majora's Mask as well as people who made BK and put them in a room with the original hardware. Get them to use the same graphics engines and software, and just get them to make more levels but in the exact same style of the original games! We loved those games, we need more of the exact same game! Not remakes...or new graphics...we need the same thing injected in 20ml doses. When I think about BK there were so many cracking levels - surely if there were an infinite number of these Rare monkeys with an infinite supply of cash and time, we could have these amazing levels until the end of time!

I stopped reading the Berserk manga a while back after getting a new PC. Started reading it again from Vol 18 onwards and boy is it still great. For those of you who are tired of these annoying 15 year old kid main-lead character* type mangas this is a breath of fresh air. The illustrations are so detailed and the whole thing is so dark, and the story and characters are great too. *This excludes FMA, as that manga is pure awesome.

Yep the pot is there, I activated it too. You can just walk over the game board freely after beating the quiz anyway. Yeah, you can't just add in the things that the guy wanted to see when things like that didn't exist back then. It's a shame that fairly original (there really was only Mario 64 before this) games like this get rated poorly, then repetitious churned out modern games get nines all round. I think reviews should be like Famitsu. I don't mean giving games like FFXII and Nintendogs perfect scores, but at least have some sort of intelligent panel of people combining their views to form a more well-rounded opinion of the game. I mean, for heaven's sake! It only took a small look at the comments of this review to see people saying things like "glad I avoided this then"! People are basing their purchase decisions on this retard's review, there should be a system in place to stop things like this happening!
