Jeopardy: What is pwned?
-
Yeah, stolen horses do that. You'd think they'd develop Stockholm Syndrome after you rode it long enough, but no...
-
Sure, at £3.99 again or whatever it cost last time? :p Tip: Get Shadowmere. It's like almost impossible for it to die, unless it runs off a cliff.

I've played this for a few hours now... I absolutely hate that motion controls are enforced. It adds nothing, in fact it subtracts. Riding the bird during that race was the single most retarded thing I have ever done on a games console, it felt so ridiculously imprecise and awkward that it drained the fun. It feels so patronising sometimes, the way they want you to correlate the direction your wave the wii remote with the weak point of the enemy. Oh look, the Deku Baba has opened its mouth horizontally, slash it the same! It's almost like where a baby has to put a triangular shape into a triangle shaped hole! This is really negative I know, the game will probably turn out all right. But Christ.

This suddenly conjures images like when Bill Gates 'bought out' Homer's company in the Simpsons.

My advice to you guys, keep your eyes peeled on ShopTo. They are least likely to mess you about, and most likely to get a game to you quickly. Play.com aren't always reliable I've found.

All my batteries went to crap at the same time Replacement for my Samsung NC10 netbook (£18, given this is about 40 quid cheaper than the official I'm half expecting this to be Hong Kong crap) Also 4 new Uniross 2700mAh AA and a new battery charger. Batteries suck!

lol, the more I look at that image the more sinister Bowser looks.

Microsoft rushing to produce a console seems like a bit of a recipe for disaster, I hope they make some better hardware this time. I've actually changed my mind a little regarding the next wave of consoles. I wouldn't mind the PS4 coming, in fact it'd be pretty cool. Expensively cool, but cool. So long as it isn't completely rushed and for the sake of it I'd be pretty content, but I can't see there being the major generation switch for 2-3 years yet at least.

I'm not to say you guys don't matter, just that it's quite dim to suggest that a film/game in which, for 90% of the people on this forum most likely (G. Britain/Ireland), came out this year should be excluded from a poll on this forum on the basis that it came out somewhere else the year before. If this was the case, the game/film would have to be voted for the year before its release in the countries where most people on this forum live. So barely anyone would vote for it, even if it was GOTY, meaning the poll would mean even less than it already does. An example: no one would be allowed to vote for Xenoblade Chronicles as it technically was released first in Japan in June 2010. We would all have had to vote for it in the 2010 poll -when no one had even heard of it! Surely you can see this is an absurd suggestion. But either way, it's all arbitrary and senseless, we're basically asking what is the best film/game released in a 12 month window starting from a specific month and running to the next. December 2010 compared against January 2011? No dice.

Happy Birthday! Hopefully your day will be better than that Mario, who appears to be about to be raped.
-
So, in other words, vote for a film or game you really liked that you got/watched when it come out in your country. But, because it actually came out last year in its country of origin you should have voted last year. But last year you hadn't seen it, didn't know about it, and certainly wouldn't vote for it. Thus, what may be a splendid film or game is forever barred from being allowed in a British popularity contest.* *Unless you have a time machine.

Castle Crashers and Braid are probably the best digital download games for PS3/360 if you want to check them out.

I don't see why - it's not what it used to be. There's no real taboo to online dating, the only people that may look down on it are parents who might think it's nerdy, but that's because they're fossils who associate it with nerds rather than just about every young person who uses it today. Also you say you're not socially gifted, so it seems practically ideal for you. I don't see the point in you sitting at your computer saying how you're rubbish in social situations and that you hardly ever go out, when you could be chatting to ladies and creating those 'going out' situations yourself. And as for last resort...it does seem like you're kinda at the last resort stage. Not that you should see online dating as a last resort! Meeting someone online can go completely tits up (remember dynastygal), but that doesn't mean it necessarily will and especially not if you get to know them more beforehand. It's the same as real life if you like, but there's probably more chance of success. In real life, people can often meet in nightclubs and the like which are hardly great places to find relationship material. Edit: Shall one of us go ahead and make a profile for Serebii for him? =P
-
Would this have been for the "smarmy cunt" project you were all assigned? :p
-
Classic technique. By worked I assume you mean you had your name successfully entered onto a register? Serebii I don't see why you're always so whiney about this. You've got a L100 Deoxys. And I wouldn't utter such a thing lightly, you know me. And you've probably done all that EV training/Pokerus crap to it too. You've mastered all the Pokemon, it's time to move onto the ladies. Start with some general banter, and establish friendship. Only then think about the nerve-racking task of asking one of these ladies out.

I bought a DualShock 3 controller off Amazon for £35 since I never actually had a DualShock (just the old Sixaxis, which are now a bit knackered). Used up Amazon vouchers I got for Christmas to get it. I have no idea why, but every shop on the street has at some point in the last six months convened a moot to declare that these controllers are no longer to be sold under £45-55. Clearly the plastic mines of Azkaban have run low on precious resources used to make these things at sensible prices.

Just finished this now, it's quite a gem. I'm impressed that they brought this out over here, and before they did in the US for the 3DS too. This reminds me a lot of Symphonia in terms of battles and its general threat-to-mankind storyline, which can only be a good thing. I will say that there seemed to be fewer towns but with a strong emphasis on revisiting places, often just to trigger a cutscene before you go trigger another one elsewhere. The last third of the game seemed to be mostly old ground at least. That said, it improves on Symphonia in terms of character animation (cutscenes are executed far better) as well as the battle system. This is a much better job at a Tales game than the shite that was Legendia. Although that wasn't produced by Namco, to be fair.

That's the issue though (with this country), that it's not unusual. People are basically having things despite not being able to realistically afford them, and paying far more for them in the process. If people get credit for about 5-6 different things at once you can easily see why so many are in debt.

I cranked up the brightness and found I never needed it. Carrying around the staff of magelight was a waste of 8 ounces, the dark worked for me actually being the sneaky bastard backstabber that I was.
-
This should surely ring alarm bells that perhaps you shouldn't be getting the phone? :p I can see how the debt culture came about. Yeah I could imagine that they wouldn't give you an iPhone without a 48 month contract. But if you can buy the phone, you can slap it on a tariff that's even cheaper than that one (£10 a month, giffgaff). I dunno, it can't be that hard for people to scrape together a (not huge) amount of money to save hundreds down the line?
-
To get that 'free' I'm guessing it involves subscribing to a hideous tariff with a 24 month contract or such. Almost always works out cheaper to just buy the phone and put it on a cheap PAYG plan.

What is the glitch you experienced? Got the platinum for this the other week.
