  1. Yeah my apologies @The Peeps, so many on that list that hadn't responded at the time that I forgot to delete one that had. :p
  2. If you are indeed Town, make sure to help out somehow! I appreciate people might be busy but it could almost be seen as a free pass if you're Mafia.
  3. Nice try. :p A player wanting information about other players is about as interesting and surprising as a dog wanting a bone. My point was, people need to get talking. Just say as much as I did, I don't mind. Too many people on that list have either said nothing, or said next to nothing.
  4. @Dannyboy\-the\-Dane @gmac @Aqui1a @The fish @Nintendohnut @The Peeps Don't be suspicious now. Talk to me.
  5. 28C in London today. Do not waaaant.
  6. That's a fair point but I would say it works a little different with liquids. If you mix a lot of something overpowering into a drink, because it's a liquid it dissolves evenly and can mask the taste of the whole drink. When I dip a chip in ketchup, I tend to be able to pick them both out much more easily.
  7. Putting sugar in masks the taste of tea. You are drinking tea because you like the taste of tea, right? :p
  8. 4 sugars? Diabetolicious! Zero for me thanks.
  9. Hey that's a nice writeup, I like how you've gone to the trouble to make newspapers of the night's events. I'm kinda expecting a Peter Mandelson sith lord character to be present, missed opportunity if not tbh. :p Fair enough, have anything to share about what you did or didn't do last night? I was redirected last night by someone who gave me money to change my mind.
  10. Evaside/vague use of language here. "HD Wii games would be better on Wii U than many current titles". By 'better' I assume he means in terms of the factor which has been upgraded, which I take as the graphics. This is so very naive, PS2 HD remakes are good but when you play them they are still obviously not comparable graphically to games from the next console tier. Visuals look a lot crisper but general textures and models look clunkier, gameplay relics such as limited numbers of enemies on screen at a time still remain, etc.
  11. I see. I'll leave you all to think about the implications. Just kidding, handle it well.
  12. Since I don't know enough yet: Elect: no one Vote: no one
  13. Yeah Skyrim you could handle fairly well. Just games like Guild Wars 2 (which is awesome, I recommend it) require a bit more and you'd probably have to make do with medium and reasonable lag with crowding with that spec. But then, you could argue that games consoles costing around 100-150 preowned can play those games already so for 300 it's not an amazing deal. The trouble is, when you start upgrading your components you then need a better power supply, etc. It all spirals. :p For say 450-70 euros instead of the 300 in that link you might be able to swap that graphics card for a HD 7850 and the processor for a Sandy Bridge 2500K processor. You could find a similar price budget motherboard (make sure it's socket 1155) to be compatible with your processor. That should see you right.
  14. You would definitely struggle for 250 euros. A fairly decent graphics card alone will cost you around 200 euros or so, then the mobo that can take advantage of this around 100 and the decent i5 processors of the moment at least 150 euros. That £400 PC would be outdated in no time (in fact I'd argue it already is). I think here it's probably a case of spend a bit more for better long term value.
  15. Oh, what size (in mm) is it? If it's not a 120 mm fan it won't fit in the optional places you can install them in the case. Basically the case comes with one 140 mm and one 120 mm fan installed already. The 2 Tricools I suggest you take off the front panel (where power on button is) and install them there to take in air (angle them blowing inwards). You can put one more 120 mm fan on the side as a side intake fan, and another 120 mm fan on the other side as an exhaust for the processor (it's right next to the processor). Also if you were to stand your case upright, on the base of the PC on the inside are 4 screwholes where you can mount your SSD down on, which is pretty sweet.
  16. You mean the fan attached to the coolermaster heatsink? If so that's part of it, yeah keep it on. If you mean you got a free extra fan to put in your case I would still stick with the 2 Tricools.
  17. I meant Galaxy 2 was more safe like the rest of most Nintendo titles these days, sorry. Although the first Galaxy borrowed heavily from the FLUDDless levels in Sunshine.
  18. Cool, bought a pair of Onitsuka Mexico 66s not long ago. These ones: Just bought for £30: Adidas LA Like a bit of blue, me.
  19. Sorry for that, most of the standalone wireless keyboards aren't much cheaper than the wireless keyboard and mouse combo so you could get an extra mouse in case yours ever breaks. Any of the decently reviewed keyboards on Amazon should do. Oh and let me recommend the awesome Guild Wars 2 again. :p
  20. Cool to see you're getting a PC too! I am getting the vibe from people that Win 8 is a bit iffy, almost like Vista was. Win 7 is awesome though, can't go wrong with it. Buy (/get) pro, anything more is a waste of money. Also look at this tip to shear the size off your install to make the most of the SSD space. Logitech wireless mice don't use bluetooth, they come with their own miniature dongle and have served me really well. Pretty cheap too: £13 on Amazon. With regards to bluetooth, you can get a tiny dongle that slots into a USB port for a few pounds from places like Tesco, no PCI card needed. Bluetooth is good to have if you want to hook up, say, your PS3 controller to your PC. Absolutely, I do that all the time (been doing it for GW2 recently). I also transfer HD videos to my SSD (will never get skipping, unlike if playing off a USB stick or similar). Lastly I advise to all of you to use TopCashBack before buying your parts, if you don't use it/a similar service already. You tend to get around 4-10% of your money back from most places (bar Amazon) so if you're sinking in £700, that's serious money. If any of you haven't signed up if you do so via this link I get some money too. (/shameless plug) Edit for @Cube: The 2 front USB ports on the case are there to be hooked up the motherboard via wires to make them work. That's one of the neat things about this case - 2 x USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case (quite rare for cheaper or older cases). Of course, the 2 front USB 3.0 ports would go wasted if the motherboard didn't have a connector for these (many cheaper or older motherboards don't have this, but I made sure to list a mobo that had it) Every motherboard has USB ports actually attached to it as well - these are the ones that stick out of the back of the PC. From what I've read, there's at least 2 x USB 3.0 ports and 2 x USB 2.0 ports on the back as well (potentially more if you install a PCI USB card and hook them up to your back panel connectors. Nope, they do lit up versions of the Tricool fans I suggested but I didn't choose them. The case has just one small blue light that is lit up when the PC is on, located at the top left corner of the power button. System runs quiet too.
  21. Tips are often 'expected' over here in a restaurant also, but that's beside the point. Could it be Ellmeister that--shock horror--she may not have been tipped because she was a terrible waitress (a possibility made more likely judging by her character as seen on the social networking site)? When you call me elitist I have a feeling that you're confusing stupidity in terms of people doing idiotic, areshole-like things (that which I have no sympathy for) with the kind of Forest Gump, harmless and genetic sort of stupidity. Of course, I'm not like that. But whatever, think what you like.
  22. My view was that with Galaxy, just one of their franchises, they pretty just expanded on an existing foundation (the jetpackless sections to sunshine). Which was great, but hardly revolutionary. I actually disliked the gravity mechanic, it fucked around with the controls a lot. I'd have actually preferred if most of the game was like the Sunshine stages (much harder to die also, without gravity pulling you to objects/planets a lot of the time). Everything has been pretty safe and samey, even Galaxy 2 being a follow on from Galaxy 1 with not too much different (some may say that's a good thing, considering the gameplay is good and it hadn't had a sequel yet). Meh, I just remember back to the days of the N64 when game after game was pretty original and excellent. Guess we'll never see that again from them in this day and age.
  23. I don't think they can throw too many in given most games tend to carry over a lot of the characters from the previous game.
  24. They should make it optional a la Sonic, not remove it. Co-op was great with a friend.
