L1 to switch between Oliver and his familiar, then you select either attack, defend or their special attack (the latter costing MP). And if you're Oliver you can do spells too. Seems like it's quite simplistic but more things get added in as you go.

So I played the demo just now, it really is cool. The world map looks so well done, it's amazing. The combat works well, one thing I've noticed is that it feels a lot like Dragon Quest VIII (the way in which the monsters are animated and look). Although in this case you're able to move around too when you don't control your familiar. I like how there's a bonus for defending and attacking at the right time, it gives you something to play for. And I really like the lack of currency/exp inflation - the EXP you get is in single figures to begin with as is the dropped cash. It makes it feel like the battle rewards really matter.

I can see why some might not like the podcasts/Ricky Gervais Show. On the face of it, it looks almost like 2 intelligent people belittling someone who's a bit dumb and has silly ideas on things. You soon realise though that to some extent it is put on, and that some of the things Karl says are so utterly stupid and/or ridiculous that you can't help but laugh. The Idiot Abroad series is more humorous in the sense that you know Karl is a little Englander that hates to be taken out of his comfort zone, so watching him navigate the jungle or travel around India makes for some great viewing. Sometimes his simplistic way of viewing things can lead to brilliant remarks as well. For instance in the second season of Idiot Abroad he visits some kind of jungle tribe and learns that all of their words begin with 'N'. Trying to comprehend this in his own way, the first thing he asks the guide is "But how do they play eye spy?" Cracks me up.

You don't burst out laughing at Idiot Abroad or their podcasts/The Ricky Gervais Show? Stone hearted! The latest Idiot Abroad series where Karl takes Warwick with him to Venice and they have to dress up traditionally and go to and old fashioned party, I was in stitches. Love it.

As in people who aren't haters of Gervais.

A 'massage', 5 dollar? Sounds legit.

The latest offering from Ricky Gervais, starting Jan 30th on channel 4. I saw the pilot last year which was pretty good. It stars Gervais as a guy called Derek who's a bit simple and works in a care home where Karl Pilkington also works. I quite liked the pilot; it's not obviously a comedy, more mockumentary with funny moments. I like almost everything Gervais produces anyway so I'm probably biased. Karl's inclusion is great too because he's absolutely hilarious. Any non-Gervais haters going to watch this?

Just watched the GT video now (was on non-flash supporting tablet before). Wow. We're clearly in for a real treat. Best world map I have ever seen.

Most Attractive Feature of the Sex that you want to sex
Sheikah replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Chit Chat
Definitely the bottom. A nice smile too though. -
About a month ago someone said YOLO to me and I said "what?" I was quite pleased that I didn't know up until then. What a stupid fucking thing to say.

Looks good dr4hkon. I made something absolutely delicious today but didn't photo it on account of not wanting it to go cold (and wanting to eat it). I cooked medium-rare fillet steak topped with a stilton butter sauce and bubble and squeak fritters containing sauteed pancetta. Fuck me. This was the food of gods. Each bite was truly delicious. Mental that this is actually cheaper than some things like Domino's pizza.

Can't you buy it from say Amazon UK or somewhere else that ships to you?
-
I think it's a game that deserves full price tbh, here's hoping they sell loads and bring us a sequel.
-
Just to be clear we're talking about the game, right?
-
DLC like this often gets released on the store later anyway and I doubt it'll be £8.
-
I think the standard one is good enough, especially for the price. You'll like it.

While having a look for you Rummy I noticed my order I placed on Amazon for the Wizard's edition with the 2 familiars 'checked out' back in September last year at the price of £54.95. I'm guessing they filled all their allocation or something so processed the orders? Everywhere that still has it now is selling it at between £70-£80... ftw? Edit: scratch that, I could still change delivery to first class. I guess then that it's hasn't been paid for and that I just ordered it before the price went up. Sorry @Rummy, time to be useful. You can get the standard edition for £31.46 from Zavvi. Enter the discount code 10POG to get 10% off the cost.

Even if you get the £279 version it's still nearly half the price of the Xperia Z. You can't say whether you can tell the difference or not in those images. That's what you're not getting. Those images are very zoomed in. So you don't know, if you were to look at say the last 2 phones in real life at a standard distance, whether the pixel difference is really noticeable. I personally don't think there will be much noticeable improvement beyond 320 PPI on a small phone.

From that post you actually sound very genuine Dohnut. I'm not going to attack you at least, lol.

Pokemon Wii U (Wanted / Why isn't it happening?)
Sheikah replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
With a game series that is so conservative, always having the same 3 types of starter Pokemon for instance, I can't see them trying to make a console version. They have a formula and people continue to buy it in droves so they're not going to change it. -
The best thing they can do is scrap the cost of Xbox live or at least give free games for the cost.
-
Man what a dick move. Using hax like that. Total noob.
-
"This changes everything. Again." This game is for all intents and purposes the next iPhone. :p
-
It's more than double. £240 x 2 = 480. You could buy 2 Nexus 4's and have £50 left over. That image is very, very misleading. All it shows is that if you zoom in far enough to a degree that the eye never could, you will eventually pick out those extra pixels. Since when would you see individual pixels as chunky blocks with your eye? Sure you'll notice a big jump from say going from the standard to a retina display on the iPhone. Going much higher than 320 ppi though?
