  1. I respect this, in some ways I like some of things you don't. You say the story was too complex but I quite liked that. I was young at the time but it prompted me to find answers to some of the confusing parts (2 Sephiroths for instance) and if was like a game that kept on giving. I also liked that a lot of side quests were optional/missable. Made them feel more special. Also the character models were so bad they were good. Kinda on a minecraft level. Cow hoof Cloud will forever hold a place in my heart.
  2. I'ma have to stop you for talking sheer bollocks there. Fair enough you don't like VII, but let's not be silly now. XII above VII? Ca'man. You said yourself you stopped playing VIII.... totally weak sauce. It is nothing like VII IMO. There's a reason it consistently tops the favourite games of all time, gets its own film and multiple game tie-ins. People absolutely love it. Although I will add I prefer VIII. VII is still a great game though with a story that I genuinely cared about and it had some truly awesome characters, far better than those in most FF games anyway. Sephiroth was fucking badass. I know you won't agree, but whatever you say on this matter we both know there must be something about it for it to be so loved.
  3. lol. Are you nuts?
  4. This looks quite nice. Hope the tone isn't too childish like Yoshi's Story.
  5. Money down the drain. New if it's a new game or almost the same price as preowned. Usually online is cheaper these days which is usually new. As an aside, most actual game shops opened their new games anyway and kept the disc behind the counter. So really, they could have defecated on your games anyway.
  6. Oh man, I feel for you. To never have gone to town on Final Fantasy VII through to IX. To never have enjoyed Shadow Hearts, to never have reveled in Dragon Quest. This is sad stuff. Give me a moment.
  7. Sure. That's why I said if I die tonight. If I die you'll know to trust it.
  8. Virtual reality like in sword art online. Except without the evil creator enslaving all the players and forcing them to play the game thing.
  9. Well I'm not an alignment investigator. But I have a decent reason based on something that happened that normally wouldn't. Interpret at will. =)
  10. In case I die tonight, the only thing I can add is I feel Dohnut is most trustworthy at the moment.
  11. Sweet man. I like to think I played a small part in this. :p No I got the same from Amazon. Basically it was delayed by a week some time ago, so the retailers are apologising (even though it's not their fault).
  12. Yep Sharla had a rifle. Let me just say.... There's now a reason to buy a Wii U.
  13. To be honest I would rather it be on a home console or the next handheld. If it's ever going to get an update, I'd want the visuals to look really nice.
  14. On the one hand cool. On the other hand, Majora's Mask was a much better game and would have benefited a lot more from a graphical makeover owing to its age.
  15. I targeted jayseven. Did you reach Yvonne/initially target Yvonne? Or sent there?
  16. Yep, anything that required pointing (most games) meant it wasn't ergonomic. Pointing generally isn't comfortable and means you have to alter the way you hold the controller simply to aim at a particular part of the screen. And RE4 was old news by the time it got the Wii so I wouldn't know.
  17. I liked Sweeny Todd (the one with Depp in) too. Nice theme, good songs, good cast. Not for the faint hearted though.
  18. Wait a week and buy Ni No Kuni for PS3. Assuming they still get new stock of course.
  19. Yvonne wasn't at all happy when I tried to lynch inactives, but I agree with you. Jimbob was a bit of a disgrace last game in terms of inactivity (and often is). Right now though I'd be happier to go for Diageo.
  20. I disagree. The need to point the remote often at the screen necessitated unnatural arm positioning and strain. And the various remote orientations supported by games showed that the default method of holding it was frankly unsatisfactory. Plus absolutely NO ONE worth their salt favoured a Wii remote over a GC controller for Brawl.
  21. Whereas a remote control was fantastically ergonomic. :p
  22. Exactly. People are judging this as bad purely because of pre-existing perceptions of Gervais. I really liked it, and I'll check out the documentary.
  23. A nice chance to gain some trust here, who'd cha target?
  24. Makes me think of minecraft. You die, and lose all your saves!
