  2. Nice try. The reason the Wii U didn't appeal much to many other console owners in the first year is not because the games didn't appeal to the 360/PS3 gamers. It's because a lot of those games were the SAME ones people had already played many months before on their other consoles! Mass Effect 3, Deus Ex, Assassin's Creed 3, Batman, Darksiders II, FIFA. Then you have games like COD which people would probably rather play with their existing friends. Tell me Jonnas, do you see the appeal there to someone who has played these games already? Right from the start, this pretty much only ever offered first party content to people like me as their third party stuff may as well not have existed. So for me, I bit when there was enough Nintendo content, which took a while to get somewhere I felt.
  3. No, people get butthurt because they don't like it when people point out the flaws in their argument or an argument they support. People agreeing with the flawed argument deflect the points using poor ad hominem like you just did rather than actually addressing the post. Poor show, King V, but not really at all unexpected from you. The argument that Zelda should keep absorbing every mechanic of its predecessors isn't great, so I agree with Ronnie there. It would mean the games would become convoluted while not actually changing the mechanics of the game. Given most Zelda games have changed the mode of travel, it's not even possible to incorporate them all. That's all well and great, but then Ronnie makes the excruciatingly out of touch comments about GTA. Neither side argues the point well. Rather than knock down a bad argument, I proposed what I did want to see changed in Zelda, all of which I think are fully achievable without making the game convoluted. All the while saying that difference certainly helped Majora's Mask, and importantly, that I think the new Zelda looks like it could be taking the right steps. Yet of course, meaningful discussion is ignored. I think as well Majora's Mask reviewed lower at the time and had a reputation for being difficult with the time system. It's funny what people think at the time compared to how they do now. Same with Wind Waker... thought of as odd at the time and widely revered later.
  4. I just did, you silly sod. Some people...
  5. Very much so. To be honest the arguments on either side here are pretty weak. As usual Ronnie seems to have no clue about non-Nintendo games, but on the other hand is defending pretty well against the comments about Zelda not evolving because the arguments being made aren't very good. My desire for Zelda is for them not to enforce the same mechanics every game (same horse, bird, time travel) like they are already doing but to considerably re-evaluate much of what they do repeat. The same sort of story (Ganondorf / Triforce / Master Sword), battle mechanics, dungeon mechanics and various gameplay mechanics (20 hearts and various heart piece quests). I sincerely believe they can make these changes without destroying the Zelda theme. My favourite Zelda is Majora's Mask, which funnily enough said nuts to the Triforce, Zelda, Ganondorf and the Master Sword, while having the ability to play as other races. Neato! While the usual elements have made for some great games there comes a point where you've experienced that sort of thing so many times that you think "come on, try something new!". Maybe they are doing that now with the new open world Zelda, which looks like a step in the right direction, but time shall tell!
  6. Shadow Hearts 1 and 2! Do iiit. FFX and X-2 digital versions are on sale on the PSN store (something like £15 for both). Well worth it, crazy value.
  7. It's such a shame the way Japan is, I would kill for Dragon Quest to go back to Sony consoles. Imagine how good it could be two generations on from the godly DQVIII.
  8. I remember getting it for £60 off GameStop, it took forever for them to get stock but in the end it was worth it.
  9. I think one of the real reasons the Wii U felt a bit barren wasn't the precise number of games but that most of the games weren't really very exciting to your PS3/360 gamer. A lot of ports we'd already played with little incentive to rebuy (not like the 'definitive' series coming to PS4/X1 which at least have had quite a bit of work put in and were a step up from the last generation).
  10. There's nothing daft about what I said, Serebii really does pick on the smallest inadequacies if it can be spun to favour Nintendo. Saying what you did though just makes you appear very out of touch. Both consoles have some very good games, something I know from owning both. A piece of advice; you might want to go and look at how much good software the PS4/X1 will have had by the time its first year is done. Far more than the Wii U had, for sure.
  11. What on Earth are you talking about?
  12. @ReZourceman who are your phase 1 and phase 2 (/anticipated) targets?
  13. Haha, QFT. There is so much right with the other consoles compared to the Wii U that he's clinging the to the one festering, irrelevant bone there is left and won't let go. Tbh, I would be absolutely fucking amazed if Nintendo didn't include at least a 500GB hard drive on their next console. They're dirt cheap now and they have no excuse.
  14. Hoo boy. Just read this and I got a whole barrel of crazy. :p It's just the funny stuff thread, I really doubt anyone else cares about sources.
  15. Flubit are quoting £27.98 for Wolfenstein on PS4, still not totally convinced whether to get it though.
  16. @Sméagol who do you see yourself targeting this phase, if anyone?
  17. Yeah, I think the C stick could do with being changed, and you need the second triggers for compatibility with a lot of third party games. Not enough buttons as it is. That Z button wasn't great either.
  18. I had that one time, they apparently noticed suspicious activity and made me reset my password. Had to use a different password than before too... I think it's because I signed into a fair few different places within a short amount of time once. Weird that you're getting an error trying to change it to something else though.
  19. Pretty cool if you managed to nab an en suite for that price. Places looks good too.
  20. Woooah. Woah. So hang on, are you saying the Wii U low power option was based on earthquakes that happened after all?
  21. It's not that I don't agree with you, it's that I simply don't believe you. You can say it all you like but you've lied about other things to make Nintendo look good (like explaining their low energy route with the Wii U was down to earthquakes happening). To be honest, I'm not inclined to believe anything you say these days. You're just far too blinkered, often uttering whatever you can in defence of Nintendo.
  22. Maybe it felt flimsy and lightweight because it was suspended in air, attached via a metal cord to the demo booth? :p Try harder!
  23. I never argued any different. All I am saying is that me and Flink stand very well to compare the two purely because we have them both, not through any loyalty to a company. Heck, if I was blindly loyal, I wouldn't go saying the gamecube controller was my favourite.
