Regular style in what sense? We all play brackets and go through to matchups or so? I'd still def be up for one next week, just I'm working til 9pm tonight and tomorrow, Splatooning thursday(and probs Sunday due to Splatfest) with a wedding on Saturday so I just cannot find any time! Maybe if I get a bit on Friday eve I could have a match or two with folks? Though if no one's entered it isn't really worth too much to us all... Tournament definitely gets me a bit more interested in playing, though. Will need to go in and look at it all then might try to help organise something myself.

I probably won't be in for tonight due to working til 9, but I reckon I'd be regular to semi-regular on Tuesdays going forwards. Thursday I can probably knock off early, so I'm really good for any time at all. Forgot to mention earlier - but certainly interested by that gattling gun thingy!

Noticed you mentioned you started one in the thread - I could give a few hours one night but not until at least next week or so; or maybe just a quick 30 or so more often if at least someone was around?

Y'kno, if the postage wasn't gonna make it an absolute arse I'd offer you the spare I got with all them games, think it's a 320 slim (though I never actually checked but the guy who sold it works for my trust, and I later discovered with my dad no less) and it looked pretty good nick to me. It would however be padless, as I've nicked that :p Yeah that was my thinking - don't know what drives they use by default but a quick look on eBuyer's prices earlier made me think the same.

I do not - though I was wondering how cheap one can manage that for? Also quite surprised you don't have a PS3! What's the deal with vita/PS4?? I think I'll stick for now until I can get a bit of extra monies, but I'll keep my eye open for what's about. Tbh I couldn't exactly say what about the ps4 appeals to me, just that I keep seeing little tidbits that make me think 'I wish I was a part of that' sort of thing. As for the model/drive sizes - is it that economical buying a 1TB over a 500GB model? Was just thinking might be cheaper/easier to get your own larger drive and change it yourself these days. Had a quick look on ShopTo and in my head I felt the price was a bit of a jump - though I've no notion of HDD prices atm so I don't know why!

Semi but I can't lie - Splatoon has me super hooked(90+ hrs) and its update is coming this week; I just feel like there's lots on the PS4 that looks interesting and cool and that I'd get it eventually. I look at it as I did the WiiU - buying it for a good price earlier than I might otherwise still makes sense if I'm going to get it down the line eventually. Having said that, I still have a WiiU backlog I should tackle, and about 50 PS3 games I got for a bargain with a PS3 a year or two ago - so I've technically got lots to keep me going but I'm just looking at that much greener grass on your side of the fence However with the online/social aspects though it makes more sense for me to get on it now whilst everyone else is, as you mention - so I'm beginning to be at the point of dithering.

Thanks guys. Has it generally be sitting around the same price or falling slightly? I might wait a little longer before I consider grabbing one for now unless it's a spectacular deal somewhere.

Yep I'm happy with that myself! Although... No! No no no! Luckily it isn't usually hard to find a ranked battle game so you can jump back in fairly quickly but it's still unneccessary imo. I'm also wondering - will this now affect the squad battles etc too? In fact...can you not team up for a squad battle if you and a teammate are different ranks??

Not really a bargain post/question but; What's the general price of a PS4 at the moment - notably the best prices/offers? How has it generally been pricewise since release? I'm tempted to do what I did with the WiiU and buy one at the best bargain I find, regardless of if I'm gonna start playing right away (if that makes any sense).

Irks me too, but I've gotten used to having what we've got now. Thursday is kinda my only real free eve this week so...yup! What time does the update hit us? I might not be on too long/too late, as I've gotta go to a meeting first thing Friday morning; but if the updates early I can rejig work Thursday to get cracking by late afternoon if other folks are about?

Careful with the hypocrisy there dazzy. I wouldn't say anyone's presented their personal opinion as fact any more than your closing statement in that quote above. If it was someone else you might call it trolling. As for the economic success - it's relevant because barley anyone is making these consoles and games just for the love of it alone - they're out to make money. Yes, you can have a great game that sells terribly but it can also be argued that you can have terrible games that sell well. However the overall general economic success of these things are relevant - if you have a console that is flying off the shelves and being snapped up by everyone with great attach rates you're then going to be getting more revenues in with which you can further develop your products. To pretend economic success is irrelevant in what is essentially business is absolute folly if you ask me.

I'd be happy with that. Alternatively I'd love a system where you have a random choice of 3 out of the total presented each time, and the players vote. However just thinking about it now I'd wonder...is the 2 maps at a time an issue with preloading/buffering them somehow to make it faster when the games come in? Good games just now btw. As you can see I've gone back to my original Inkbrush(saw a dude with one last night when playing with yous, and I wanted to have an Inkbrush off! But then he left.) - I thought I might have outgrown it in trying the other weapons and the Octobrush but I absolutely still love it, and am doing well with it! I'm wondering if people have gotten unused to facing it as it isn't as commonly used now.

Can you even begin to imagine the things they might do with the Gamepad if they did another Eternal Darkness? I know I can't! I was expecting a lot more creative and unique gaming/gamepad uses for the Wii U that I still think I haven't felt enough of - Eternal Darkness could be a great backdrop for it!

And my point is I could probably still outlist you on the competition. The reason I mentioned most of the games I did was for their uniqueness and memorability - stand out titles in my mind that offered me what I felt Nintendo should or used to. The problem, as mentioned above, is the fact these offerings are available to play on the competition and not the Wii U - thus offering more diversity. And if we want to stay on your point that you were just pointing out all the great IP Nintendo have then we should at least come back to kav's original point that you half dismissed and ignored...what are they doing with all of it! Where's the Metroid, F-Zeros, Waveraces, Eternal Darknesses, Excitevehicles? Whilst I'm not a fan of trotting out and rehashing old IP without innovation - I'd definitely be keen to see another Eternal Darkness or Excitetruck/bots title. I'd also enjoy Metroid if it does enough different. Nintendo's got great IP but they aren't using all of it, and some of it not to it's best(imo). I will if you're happy to pay for my dentistry, speed awareness course and kitchen...until then it's a little difficult for me to get on anything other than my Wii U! On the plus side of which - Splatoon is keeping me pretty busy/entertained :p

It isn't 'open bashing season' - the topic of the conversation moved to diversity on Wii U and people are engaging in it - that is how a discussion goes. I think I recall we both agreed on a point during the splatfest they should have extra/higher boundaries for points given like you just mentioned with the 800p etc

Maths and science are not based off 'fairly obvious' assumptions. Even so - you moved far off the point of franchises presented by Kav and moved it to characters. How many people would recognise Niko Bellic? Does that then even have any bearing on the hugeness of the franchise that is GTA? Why are you still focusing on the point of sequels when I've already said that it isn't about that. What I'm saying is there's MORE alternatives on the competition, giving more diversity. You've named...5/6 games there. Where's my...Journey, FeZ, Terraria, Geometry Wars, PixelJunk Eden, Metal Gear or GTA to name a few but 7? I already said I could come up with an equal if not greater list of the diverse titles on alternatives but didn't want to; I've easily just exceeded your 6 alone. The caveat - some are PS3/360 rather than current gen because I'm not familiar with it, but I can do some further research if you like(and the last two will surely appear). I was so tempted to mention that :p
