Even that wouldn't have made much difference on the actual match results in this sitch(144+63=207 vs 156+37=203) BUT if they left it as it is and halved the vote we'd have 96+31.5=127.5 vs 104+18.5=122.5 unless I'm mistaken - yes it's still in favour of Team Eat but it's a much much closer competition with the actual battle results carrying much more weight. Though really I think that just voting should count for barely anything at all - you're already disadvantaged by having a smaller pool of people for your side!
-
For me, on a rough working; That's winning the majority of my matches. Also assuming I always get at least 400p a match for the 2 points. It's just too big a boundary for a 24 hours festival on a weekend imo. All that time/work and all I got was...18 shells was it? I'm at 23(call it 28 if I had the time to put in on the first) for my two splatfests combined WITH one eternal ranking and you're on 32!

Def come and let us know how you find it! I don't know how much you've heard of the game already but I hope you'll find it a good! (Does this mean FLink hasn't played either?? Double bonus!)
-
Your reading skills sure are bad, dawg! Just as bad as your memory! Might be worth looking at what I said again, y'kno...
-
Out of curiosity have you ever played it before in its previous iteration? I'm keen to hear your thoughts on it after if not! Whilst quite lols - was it a whole video or playlist of whole songs? Wouldn't mind having a link to it as I like having stuff like that on in the background when company's round for tabletops. I tried a playlist last week which was ok, but occasionally lacking.
-
Turns out it was as @Pestneb supposed; I had to vote or just couldn't play. I feel a bit gutted that the votes can swing the game so much - doesn't inspire me to play so much next time(and I was definitely winning more games than losing). Next Splatfest I'll probably just vote and make it to Charismatic then leave it there. Tbh if there's a SplatFest next month I don't think I'll even be able to play in it anyway.

N-Europe Summer Meet Up 2015 - Saturday 15th August

Ahhh, that's not far from Meltdown where they do Smash some eves - had I known/realised I should have got in touch when I went up there! -
Oh, yeah I was addressing Diageo. But I was also making the post that all's fair in love and mafia. Where as it might bother me somewhere else, I take it all as part of the mafia game here(even if it's not). As for shit-stirring? I was sitting on my info until today(which I posted earlier) but I wanted to be a bit vague to leave some confusion for night targetting that maybe we'd get something new or different? Having said that above - I'm actually quite in agreement with a point someone's made of NOT going for what you're expected to go for from the thread, exactly because it's expected.
-
On break 1 jayseven targetted Diageo; but I didn't know what he'd done to him. On break 2, I was roleblocked/cuffed, but someone's info(I think Cube) suggested jayseven hadn't targetted me AND jayseven said he had been told on break 2 that he was told he didn't need to target his target or that it was useless - if that was me then someone ELSE was the roleblocker who roleblocked me with handcuffs, and so I felt it rather convenient that Diageo retrospectively claimed my roleblocker was his roleblocker, when I don't think it was the case. I think he WAS tied up rather than handcuffed, and I thought it'd be by jayseven and he was trying to make a fit to suit him. Having tried to track Diageo again last night - I couldn't/he 'apparently' targeted no one with some flavour, but I had added flavour that said he was targetting someone and I couldn't quite see or so. [character] Or something like that, dawg. I don't buy he had nuthin' to do with our juice going missing...which means I still ain't getting paid til we get to the bottom of this! Vote: Diageo

Y'kno, last week I was feeling like this was doing exactly what I fear - stalling out a bit. However tonight's episode has re-invigorated my love of it! Got a theory or two on where it might all go and some of the small points too, but excited to see what they actually pull out cos it's still generally keeping me on my toes.

Beep-boop. Automerge prevented!

I LOVE Sakurai, and he seems to be VERY dedicated to what he does(from the things I read about Smash) but that can be a downside and still on a speculative front I don't think he'd either a.) take the job if it came up b.) be very good/suited for it. Something about him just doesn't cry out to me that he'd have the...diversity? Experience? Iono. You've gotta be quite an all-rounder kinda person for a role like that really, and I just don't get that he's necessarily experienced enough. Sometimes you just have to let things go, too, and I'm not sure if he's the sort who might(again, going by the things I read about him and Smash). Trinen's got the swagger and personability though, he's seen the Western side and he very quickly ended up close in on the Japanese side - there's gotta be something special about you if you end up personally translating for a great like Miyamoto pretty early in your game. I feel having seen a lot of tributes this past week that I really underestimated and under-appreciated Iwata. I honestly wouldn't know who they'd get in his place right now.

I was somewhat surprised at how quickly there was another one - however I actually have a rather opposite complaint to Kav after my ordeal above...they're not long enough!! I do however share your sentiments - they should both have variety AND also not be an exclusive mode for 24 hours. Both of these SplatFests I have been out on Saturday and working on Sunday - if either of my Sunday shifts were lates there's little to no chance I'd have gotten to play as much as I have and in actually playing straight from work it's quite pressured for the 6pm mark. I'm also not sure what happened to @Kounan(what did btw??) but sometimes something might come up - that can actually be a bit gutting; especially if you've already started putting some play time in last night and now can't continue as you intended today. A wider window would make it more achievable I think. Another issue for me is the final boundary - if you consider it took me 43 minutes to get...37 points(winning the majority of my matches, thankfully) then for that to be 99 at the same rate you're looking at like almost 2 hours just to get that final level/boundary. I agree it'd be nice if you could keep your team's tee too - don't see any reason why not and it'd be kinda cool to bust out sometimes and others can see what team you were on/what splatfests you took part in. I'd also like the level cap off - atm I'm mostly playing because of people here, skyping with folks here, and because I'll be switching on to buy gear then level it up - there's less and less 3-slot items but the rate of earning to make them is a bit low/slow(barring ranked and in particular TC, which is another thing that keeps me coming back a lot atm). Very looking forward to what freshness the August update may bring us! Noooooooo! Did team Eating win? I haven't been back to my WiiU yet but surely I thought team Sleep had it - given some of the discussions here and the matches I played today! Was clocking more wins that I expected! Guess all those fiends let the team down overnight(including me)... First I've seen of that gun from user's perspective...makes me think even more I need to clear the single player bits to get it! Shame is the multiplayer just keeps keeping me so hooked that I burn out on it and don't fancy the single!

Where abouts are you as it happens? Nearest tube station? -
OK, SplatFest done and dusted for me and a chill out had - I want to address something now that I'm not on my phone in front of Splatoon. Right, I want to focus on this - because I think this is the crux of what causes issues here. As has been raised - in the above you had dismissed kav's points and then made it about kav instead. It does nothing to further discussion except serve to rile and derail the thread. Notably - others actually have made further discussion on and agree with some of kav's sentiments - I haven't seen you address these posts and so I must say it does look like you have a specific bee in your bonnet about kav here, rather than the points being made. Additionally if, as you claim, you(or anyone else) are unable to even entertain someone else's perspective or point of view('see where they're coming from') whether you agree with it or not then you are of no positive benefit to this forum and will do little to further discussions. This point here is subtle, and language makes it complicated, but we all have to prepared sometimes to just agree to disagree. Without any possibility of understanding someone else's point of view however - how do you then address it with any sensible response? You later said; Obvious for all to see? I will actually disagree - yes Kav has been hesistant and critical of this game, but he was open-minded enough to both play it AND purchase it. To tell someone something like this about their own person with such conviction will, once again, do nothing but create further tension on this forum. Think about the way you're posting and the things you're posting @Ronnie. Next time I see you make your points in such a manner, you will be banned from the thread in question. I've publicly put this post here so that others may hopefully take the points from it. No further discussion on the point will occur here.

43 minutes left to get 35 points. Needs a smaller boundary because this is just too big a wasted window. Matchmaking needs to be much faster too. Some lag in matches but is easing up now. Just need to be playing more than waiting in this darn lobby! Edit 17 mins for 12points get it together and hurry up splatoon!!! Ediedit:won was a 3 vs 4! 10 min for 7 points!!! Sweating my balls off from the tension and annoyance here!! Need 5 points. 1 match. Need a win and over 400p. I may be crying shortly. THE GAMING GODS FAVOUR ME! Cheap but ended up against a team of 3. Bit nooby too. I...am relieved.

Game's a game people, let's all recall that all's fair in love and mafia! (the stead in which I am taking all comments)
-
Maybe Wocky's just having some last minute fun, too
-
All well and good dawg, but I don't really know anything about you...except that I couldn't find you! You gotta ask Wocky and you gotta ask yourself and maybe you even gotsta ask Jake 'jayseven' Marshall...maybe it all adds up. I'm torn between being told two people supposedly nabbing our juice - I can only make my own mind, no matter how it might make me look. I ain't gonna be changing my vote under any pressure here though dawg, took my sweet time making it in the first place.
-
This is one of them retrospective fit kinda dealies ain't it? Memory AND vocabulary problem? I might be making a big mistake here, but I ain't buying it myself right now. Vote: Diageo
-
Your earlier post made no sense to me dawg, as it seemed to be you were hating on Diageo then backing him too! I still ain't quite sure what you were saying, but I'm in a similar sitch to yourself - no idea who to go for. If anything...I weren't too sure about you, dawg!
-
Amazing Mirror may have actually spoilt you in terms of transformations/copy abilities - unless I'm mistaken it probably has the most variety of them of any of the games? Ofc that may be me comparing it as novelty in terms of abilities/moves we hadn't seen in previous games. The newer games started to reduce these(AdventureWii+TD). However I'd second the suggestions of going for Kirby's Adventure next if you're sticking just to traditional Kirby platformers - best to start at the beginning to see where it all began in terms of copy abilities! I'd say even consider checking out Dreamland on GB at some point if you want to see where it all truly began - but it could feel bland to you without copy abilities in it. My first platformer with copy abilities after Dreamland(having played a bit of Adventure on holiday once, and fallen further in love) was actually SuperStar which I absolutely love but I'm probably wearing my RetroSpecs for that. Worth a look at some point though - it's bright and vibrant, both visually and audibly, with another big bunch of variety in terms of copy abilities/moves. Basically I think I'm saying...work your way through all of them because they're all bloody great!
-
Non-splatfest? Does it play as normal then or what? Also...yaaaaaaaaaaaaay on a new inkbrush!! What time do new weapons hit the UK? I do wonder what its support items will be though...
-
Pretty vague and pretty convenient...pretty shady too if you ask me! I wanna know some more, dawg.
