So, as I said, no I'm not. I'm not blaming them for using a lesser chip over a greater chip - I'm blaming them if they choose to use NFC in the first place at all knowing the limitations. If they then feel limited within that choice(they aren't, depending on what they want) and do not compensate enough for the limitations of it - you can't expect the consumer to carry that burden nor the burden of understanding, we aren't making the choices. For the record - you've referenced affordability and prices - are you able to actually tell me the varying costs of NFC chips and capabilities? I have no concept for the pricing. I'd even argue the higher price difference may well have been acceptable to a large number of consumers, considering the amount that amiibos sold for during their shortages.

That's a nice false dichotomy there. Myself, and Cube just now, already presented further options to support the choice. At the end of the day though - Nintendo make the choices on their tech; pros and cons should be considered and they should be held accountable, the consumer shouldn't be blamed for 'not understanding'.

You do realise that Nintendo made the choice to use it though, right? You're making out like it's something completely out of their hands... And is there any sort of facility on/via the WiiU/NFC games to back the data up to re-write later, at least? Like if I wiped my Smash amiibo to play something else amiibo writeable? I'd hazard a guess there is as I recall Smash appear to be re-writing to my amiibo after a corrupt read/write from a save on the console maybe, but I don't know if that's something across the board or if it'll count the same if I actively change the use of my amiibo to another game.

Caveat:Typed this damn post about an 2 hours ago, then didn't hit the button. Wasn't there a thing at some point that said Amiibo could only hold writeable data for one game at a time? I can see this as a solution to that if there isn't an official one, at least. But I can also see this totally addressing some of the gaps in both the market and implementation of the system, and I can't say I wholly disagree with all of its potential uses given the lack of alternative for such as Shiekah mentioned above re: content. Why not? I'd imagine it falls under the same intellectual property issues that the whole internet/digital piracy comes into to. If I use NFC to copy a song from your phone to mine - where's the real difference?

An apt description - the fragrance does precede it but the taste more than makes up for it once you've had it. As for Kraken...of course! Possibly my next spiced rum after Lamb's(and old Sailor Jerry's, if it still existed) and I enjoy it being a darker one too. Though mentioning old Sailor Jerrys makes me recall another I had a few times via Marcamillian - Admiril Vernon's Old J. Not sure if the name/product was meant to recapture the original SJ recipe but it came a close approximation at the time - now I'd take Lamb's Spiced over it any time though.

Anyone planning some Splatooning for tomorrow night? Wouldn't mind trying the rainmaker in privates if I can't get a bit on rotation this eve(not played it yet). Despite sleeping my way thru a lot of the meat i was napping again, sorry! Been playing some TC since 7 tho and...kinda destroying it. Custom dual squelcher's rsnge/power makes an excellent choice. Tempts me to move to a charger at some point... EDIT: Spoke too soon, just got absolutely merked -.-

This, again, is referencing the people making their arguments rather than the arguments themselves. Less of this please. If you cannot handle someone's argument then attacking the person(s) making it is not going to help anything at all. I do find it a strange decision, and I struggle to understand it. With Splatoon I can see a strange sort of sense to it all, with this and 9 days I cannot. Unless again it's about stresstesting the system - but I can't even see how this would really be doing that much to warrant it.

Hold on - is this for the first 9 days of the game being release, or for the first 9 days of a player owning the game? Like if you bought it two weeks later - would you have everything or have to do the creation bits? Which again, whilst I don't agree, KG made me think above - he's looking forward to playing other peoples' levels. I think many of us are - but this is arguably a way to actually get people into the creator and play around with it, where they might not otherwise? Bit of a stretch of reasoning though.

Sadly not. Arbitor may come in the day, I will see if he is and if he can bring it - otherwise with a copy of the rules we can maybe improvise with a deck of cards (but you have Avalon anyway, right? Might as well just do that!)

Yeah I saw that bit too, but considered that compared to the 100-mario it might be a bit thinner and just a quicker showcase. I suppose it depends really on the levels, and indeed, the lives - what about some of those silly stages that give you lots of them? Will it count in 10/100?

Yeah I don't think it said 100 levels but even just a run of say 10-20 randoms(or even more, if you wanted - hey! make it customisable!) would be good fun for a quick sort of 'hmm I fancy some Mario maker' sort of run. Not necessarily too short, but not necessarily too long either. If they could make some kind of randomised code for the levels/order selected so you could go back at another time or challenge your friends...could be another interesting thing. Oops. Starting typing my above post a while back but only just posted. Basically I agree! I really want to see something like that in it to keep it going, or try to beat friends etc. but I'm just not sure if it's something they'd think it of use to do.

I was on the fence about the original smoking ban as I wasn't/am not really a smoker- but looking back on it now I think it's had some good outcomes. Getting to the point of banning smoking in outdoor areas of places like pubs etc does seem a bit too far for me though.

I reckon so but I'm still hoping for a lot of integration of some social aspects to it somehow(which we probably won't get). However I'm not planning to personally get too creative with this - simply because I'm not really - but I'm looking forward to playing the levels other people have made and also getting my mates round to check it out. On which note I've actually finally gotten round to preordering it just now - apparently £30 at Base but went with the £40 on Ninty store for the T-Shirt...not sure if I really want it or not but thought might as well not miss out on it for a tenner. I thought of you as soon as I saw the music blocks bits - as if you didn't already want this game enough eh! Just watched the video - not keen myself but I can see why they're doing it.

I went through quite a love hate with that song. Seemed to be on what's now 4music+viva and radio all the time that I grew to a point of being sick of it, despite actually originally loving it(and the video given I probably saw it a bajillion times) - so now when I hear it I still absolutely do love it, but there's a weird undertone of me thinking aren't I supposed to hate this or something? My life's hard bro.
