Yeah I only discovered the Year 2 Exotics terminal thingy a few weeks back - haven't got lots unlocked on there yet though but maybe I'll just focus on that for now. I didn't do much IB and haven't touched Trials, but I used to get the planetary materials with mine(got quite a few now!) - just wondered if there was really anything else worth buying with them but that. I've been doing the daily crucible and heroic and sometimes the weekly crucible to get marks so I'm slowly building back up to 200, hence thinking about spending them rather than maxing out.

No idea here but I didn't bother with all the model rubbish and don't personally find any issues with my white console. Would it really change your mind on anything? I say don't bother paying attention to it as getting a deal you like may be tricky enough without then messing about hoping to find a specific chassis. My advice is grab yourself the system and enjoy it! I honestly wish I'd gotten mine sooner - though I'll admit that was helped a lot by Destiny social.

Not sure if I asked before - but what do you guys tend to spend your legendary marks on(if you do) other than infusing things?

The PS4 is leaving me facing tough decisions... Blue second controller, or Gold?!

General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Rummy replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I was no secret that I used to despise Sony for a variety of reasons, and I only ever picked up a PS3 when GAME were potentially going out of business; preowned and on the cheap so Sony didn't get any money from it and Game probably only made a small amount. However - I'd obviously gotten to a point from where I disliked them to contemplating buying their system, even begrudgingly, and I think it's very much as you say. The PS3 was initially a flop for them(which I took some delight in) but they really worked at the system and turned it around, giving a good product and games to the end user, in addition to working to secure those exclusives as you mention. Whilst they might not have been for me, I couldn't help but respect the work they do to foster a successful product in the marketplace, and I honestly think if it wasn't for those efforts we wouldn't have ended up with something as wholesome as the PS4, nor that I'd ever have bought one. I honestly think it'd be pretty mad to tell me 10-15 years ago that I'd have a Sony system as possibly my primary means of gaming and that I'd absolutely love it too. I've only had the thing for like 3 months as well! I've got great faith in it meeting its market, and I think the sales are really demonstrating that as well. -
General Gaming Sales/Charts Discussion
Rummy replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Almost at Wii levels I think? What I really want is year on year sales figures for each console's lifetime(ie y1, y2 etc) so we can see how they all sold over time. Anyone know where I can either find them(so far finding mostly LTD) or possibly skip all the work and have them already on a graph? I don't GAF tho. Another plus point about high sales - some of those will be almost guaranteed next gen sales for Sony too. I stand by the fact too many people focus on gen-by-gen, but I think doing well with one will set you a nice groundwork for the next(something which ails Nintendo, I think). -
Ended up on destiny and rocket league more than I planned, but still gave this an hour or two. Did the griffin so got a crossbow, got a crafting/alchemy tute, subsequently shot a cat(feels bad man) with crossbow followed by some cows and fowl(not so bad :p) and a side quest with a well that had some nice steps and unlocked a bit of story from the herbalist(also love ransacking the garden). Can see how the game grows on you, or rather you just resign yourself to the fact that it is how it is and get on with things. Not knowing much switcher law I wasnt sure what to expect, but it seems they're slightly cuntier than I'd have liked - but I'm getting to a point where I feel like I'll stop being nice and take money whenever I can. Interesting how it seems to push in that direction (at least to me anyway). @Blade I leave few question marks and the notice board unturned! Discovered a few places of power that have helped with levelling the abilities a bit too. Reckon I'll probs head off with Vesemir soon as there's maybe only a couple ?s I haven't touched, can come back later for them I imagine! What's everybody's opinions on Gwent BTW?
-
Is Axii the mind control one for conversations as well? I did end up with a quick googling of tings and it was recommended to level that first, otherwise I was putting my points into the adrenaline or something where you do more damage with successive hits/not taking damage as it's probably the way I'm likely to most play the game. Definitely contemplated stepping down @dan\-likes\-trees as I find myself currently meditating a lot for a quick health fix(though I'm dying less, so that's a plus) - intrigued that so many of you had a similar starting experience with it! Definitely ramping my interest back up. I'll stick with the current difficultly and plod on(though I'd usually not) and see how it all goes.

Kinda glad to hear it isn't just me then, I'll try and give it a bit more time this evening and see how I get on!
-
I'll get those to you within 3-5 working days. Interesting actual topic title though, don't know if I could decide right at the moment though... (i'll thrip this a little later on)

So I started this last week with a bit of time sunk in to it on Saturday. I'm not sure what I think. I enjoy the general openness/quests anywhere, and the sheer amount of shit there is to pick up(rpg hoarder here :p) but at the same time it's a bit overwhelming and I'm not sure if I know what I'm doing. I also accidentally wasted a stat point forgetting that I need an open slot to equip things, which early on is tedious as it's obvs reduced my being better through levelling, as it were. I haven't quite got the fighting down, and I'm not entirely sure when I should head for the first big main quest. I can see it growing on me, but so far I feel like I've done a lot but achieved little.
-
Audio Only I'm not, really. Deffo gonna get and play it at some point, but the points already raised echo my own sentiments.
-
I've put maybe a few hours in? Not done too much, find it a bit overwhelming so far tbh! Currently just attending to some question marks before taking on this Griffin thing. Died more than I'd have liked to, too.

Do you calibrate your TV correctly for games?
Rummy replied to Rummy's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I've usually been quite the same, but having watched the video and adjusted my stuff I can definitely see where he's coming from. It seems quite a few people just go for what is, but I think it'd be interesting if anyone calibrated as the vid advises and let's us know what they think! *wink wink nudge nudge I think he's talking to you* -
Animal Crossing: New Leaf: Friend Codes and Meetups thread!
Rummy replied to Rummy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Damn it! When did *I* become the spam?!?! It pains me to kill you, my son. (also totes neglected updating this thread like ever) -
So, I recently purchased The Witcher, and fired it up on my PS4 as normal etcetc. Then it came to the gamma slider, which some games use to fix bad calibs I understand, where I was to slide until 'the image is barely visible'. However despite any of my sliding, no image ever appeared, and naturally I turned to Google. I quickly came across similar people with similar issues(I've never had it on this TV for any other games) and ended up at a video about calibrating ALL of the settings correctly for games and thought it might be worth sharing here and asking if any of you do this already? For me I'd always just had my TV on whatever it was, and whilst I'll admit it feels a bit strange to me having it on these newer settings(not sure I did them 100% right either) - I do feel a bit like I'm getting a better visual out of my games than I was before. More detail, almost? I dunno. It's weird, but...yeah. I'll post the video and then hopefully this all makes sense; reddit(with written instructions): Video(gives background explanation too): Nod to Microsoft for actually including this as a guide/process with the XBone(that's the images he uses for it) - it's something I feel that a great majority of people would never both with doing(myself included).

They go easy in and are loose? If it's as if it's too small then maybe the ones you have are 2.5mm, though I don't see those about so much these days. Good luck with the dinners though :p
-
I was going to get it on release, but unless there's something super compelling and awesome about the online, I'm probably going to wait a while now as I've got other things to be playing yet. @Mike's post did re-invigorate me, as I recall how good the original was for me, so possibly depending on his, the N-E review, and opinions here I might cave after a week or two instead.

So I've maxed my legendary marks again so I'm thinking of buying a red death goven my previous comments on pulse rifles - it'll be 280 though so I'll need to use some shards getting it up, but ofc they're not always the greatest to come by - what's the best way to infuse/level it up as it were, so that I get maximum efficiency per shard/item sacrificed? If any of that makes sense?
-
Oh just PvP? No major worries for me then! Though I do still like my hawksaw in PvP too. Guess the PvE buff will be nice though. BTW when it comes to iron banner/clash tactics with ransoms - what do you guys suggest doing to be effective? I'll usually just try and stick to one or two other guys rather than going solo or running forward into fights unless I feel I may prove a useful distraction - not sure what people actually expect/get annoyed at though, if that makes sense.
-
You mean the perks? How do I know what's standard and what's not? I presumed Cocoon was standard for the type, as the hand cannon I got has that too, otherwise I've got Hand Loaded, Lightweight and Smallbore in the final column.
-
Damn! My Hawksaw Really grown to like the pulse rifles, is there any in particular that people would recommend I look to keep if/when I get it? I was gonna just keep my 297 Hawksaw and put my 306 Doom of Chelchis into it, but maybe I'll save that for something else if there's better out there for me...?

Thanks, managed to check it out at 4 and saw the price, told my mate it wasn't worth it at that price(he's thinking about a 1tb plus I think it's just the basic Destiny disc and not TKK/expansions). Tried perusing Game in-store yesterday, but nothing too grand there either. Apparently that Tesco one's now expired, @Hero\-of\-Time Maybe the price drop just isn't really filtering through as much as I expected given the prices were already pretty low previously, expected to see some seriously good Xmas bundles!

So it seems Dedede is contemplating joining the PS4 crowd - anyone know the best deals going for the system atm? Namely in context of Metal Gear particularly and Fallout 4 too? Even if there's extras like PSTV and whatnot that's cool, if it's a good bargain! I say that because I'd be tempted to buy said PSTV in such an event...
