More of a PS3 question but what would people say is a fair price for a 320GB slim these days?

I've not actually! I was just saying to heyho2007 yesterday that I've never run the lower raids, as he was talking about us running King's Fall a few more times on Normal possibly before moving up. We won't get much from doing them from what I understand, but having never been around for their original release it could be interesting attempting to run them blind if a few other lower levelled folks wanted to? Heyho wouldn't be blind to them as he did them originally so I'd count him out. Who do we potentially have? Me, Ninty, Happs, Goafer? Yeah I've seen you playing and was meant to say if you ever see me on or wanna fireteam up for anything in the evenings or so I'm totes happy to do so! It's more fun having someone to play with, but I'm kinda sitting above the lower levels without quite reaching the higher levels of the others here(and the stuff they do - I'm pretty happy playing all bits!) so just end up doing daily bounties then strikes or something by myself. Ftr character wise I've got like a 304ish(+) maxed titan and 297 Warlock with lots of skill levelling yet to do on all its classes - so that's basically my current focus atm. Got most of its light level from infusing things spilt over from the Titan etc. If you do wanna do stuff just ping me a message or so! I'm quite keen on my strikes now for the 3oC and exotic drop potential too - though I feel I'm starting to run shy of Strange Coins to buy with. Also happy to do Court of Oryx etc. As above! I'd def be up for running raids even on NM with you guys when you get there - I kinda know the ropes of King's Fall now but dunno if that's good enough to teach it or successfully run it well. Hell, might actually make it like a bit more of a half-blind run though! I'm usually just following the advice of others as I don't want to hold people back(but successfully manage to still :p) but I won't mind if we're all in a similar boat. On top of that I've got at least one other mate who'd join us for them if he's available, if not possibly 2(though I cannot guarantee their patience, I think they're similar to myself in terms of knowledge of the raid, and again aware of how terrible I am).

Ouch. I've fallen off since Sunday night just due to being back to work/busyness/lesser interest in the games on the schedule, so not seen too much awkwardness so far really. I don't know if it's me, the American accent, or I'm just a closet sexist misogynist - but some of the girls on the mics did grate on me at times. I found the guys from the Squeak Squad run a bit nerdy(certainly no more than you'd expect from an event like this, better even) but maybe I was just spoiled by starting with a pretty chill seeming guy doing the Crystal Shards run through. I felt that I really enjoyed the commentators for SM64 though, there was one guy in particular doing most of it I think and he was very familiar with his speed run techniques and explained them fairly simply in my opinion(though then again I'm quite familiar with the game). There was a guy commentating one of the racers, I think possibly DKR, who whilst commentating what the players were actually doing did end up throwing in quite a few "I'm not sure I actually even understand it"s or something to that effect that I found kinda amusing for a commentator.

Yeah did try to find out what was up but there seems to be nothing on Sony official channels and the twitter was useless as you say - the lack of word makes me think its unforeseen. Annoying as I came home to do my Destiny dailies!
-
PSN down for maintainnce but nothing should be according to Sony? Anyone know more? The possible threatened takedown at all?
-
Christ Happs, I wish I hadn't started. Think I ended up awake til about 3ish cos I kept watching(I did play some Destiny whilst watching too, though). The SM64 120 star run just kept me hooked again. Made it til about the 90s before I probably nodded off. Just glad I can semi-work to my own schedule!
-
Yeah that was good watching. Something about it being live makes me wanna watch now, not getting a lot of work done but looking forward to more Kirby!
-
Was totally gonna do some work I'm behind with but since sticking twicth and the crystal shards stream on I can't stop watching!
-
Edit: woopa didn't realise I'm so behind the times - didn't know twit h had chromecast support!
-
Splatoon? Interesting one to start with! If I was at home I'd have probably tuned in - I presume they're gonna have each of the games' captures uploaded separately somewhere right?
-
Not sure I can say - it feels quite similar to my white one, but a bit more new(sticks actually clicking still, more grippy) but that might easily wear with time. I've definitely given my white one a lot of use already, so until the gold one's caught up I couldn't really say! Doesn't feel particularly different to me, but maybe I just don't notice these things. In unrelated - got a bit irked/annoyed yesterday about the PS messages app. They've actually wholly separated it from the PSN app, so now I need a whole different app to actually message/get messages through my phone it seems. I was under the impression they were going to make it as an optional for those who want just the messages and not the whole thing, rather than separate it wholly.

Mildly annoyed I saw some cheap indie/small games going in the sale that I wanted, so I went and spent my nectar points on £20 of credit and now...they're not on sale anymore -.- Nothing I'm noticing in the January sale is particularly taking my fancy either, but I'm sure something will come up one day, just need to keep the credits somewhere safe! Do they expire at all if you don't cash them in within a certain time etc? On a plus side though, I finally took the plunge for this bad boy...

...more Destiny, anyone? Just me? I jest, but atm it's the only thing really on my radar. I'm excited for Zelda Wii U but I don't know if I'll adopt, nor if it'll actually get to us in time, nor whether it'll actually be just for WiiU. If they pull the TP/Wii stunt with ZeldaU/NX I'm seriously contemplating not buying it new as a matter of principle. There's nothing in particular that I'm aware of hitting in 2016 - but I do recall seeing some very nice things on the radar for PS4. I don't keep up as much as I probably could but I'm generally excited for the system. Which is strange. Considering all I basically do atm is play Destiny, Rocket League or Terraria - thought I'd be branching a lot more.
-
Ahh dammit! I wasn't sure whether to spoiler it! But I guess I didn't give away too much, hopefully...

I've not been as on the ball with the Plus games as I'd planned to be - though I've heard a lot about Grim Fandango over the years so that's definitely a handy one to have. Wasn't Hardware Rivals a free download at some point(poss a beta?) I'm sure I've played the tutorial on it since I got my PS4.

What an irony. Was just gonna post saying that I fired this up yesterday for the first time in months to show my friend, as she's been in Japan without her WiiU and is planning to take it back+a copy of this, and whilst I was absolutely loving seeing some of the new content(sadface no new inkbrushes ) and playing a few matches - one on the stage with converyor belts of sorts, we ended up with Kelp Dome about 5-6 times in a row which bugged me a little as I really wanted to see more of that new stage. If they won't put a good system for all the stages, then at least having 3 or even 4 would be better. On the plus side though - don't know if it's Christmas or more people having the game or the time of day, but the matchmaking was super-fast. Didn't get any time to really fire up Squid Jump!
-
Yeah that's fair enough, a lot of what I ended up doing too whilst making my hellevators down to the thing. Maybe a sensible home world is what I need, as the explored worlds would make best sense for hardmoding. One of my problems is that my already explored worlds we made pre-update, so not sure if I might miss some content there. Do you ever bother trying to do much protection of the spawn/base for a hardmode world? I don't actually know how fast everything spreads, plus I think I saw that it slows down once you kill Plantera(which gives you the ability to do some more things, like go temple and unlock dungeon chests, but that's old content anyhow).
-
Ahhh, I thought you said you had a gold chest piece! I also thought one of the silver bits was gold too - hence I'd presumed you was in the jungle where you can get quite a bit! You seem to be progressing rather fast though! I wanna get back into it and properly get myself used to hardmoding worlds, I just end up getting so damn attached to them I don't bring myself to it. As for the obsidian that's also another annoying thing on PS4 - it seems liquid duplication/creation is much trickier - if you happen to find any decent methods of it somewhat en bulk then let me know! I can half manage it with water sometimes but it's much harder work for lava so far with me.
-
Where you been getting your gold if you ain't been hitting jungle already? I usually just wait til I can make it there to mine lots! Seems to be so little underground etc. - though one thing I've always been bad for is making and using potions like spelunker etc to find stuff - probs should get myself decent setup with a farm and what not at some point, but I'm just too disorganised to bother.
-
Yeah I don't know when they did the upgrade that made hooks easier, but obviously a massive gamechanger. There's also a sub-biome/area somewhere that exists that has its own unique chest which often contains a very handy hook - excellent if you manage to find it early as a noob! Think that's how I got by when I started on ps4 - very quivkly moved towards getting the ivy whip when I could though. Also super shit but I never got a lucky horseshoe until like 4 worlds exploration(went specifically for it with the 3rd and 4th).
-
Pretty sure you can upload the characters/worlds to the cloud to get them again on other devices. I've only got the PS4 version though so may be mistaken.

Merry Christmas N-E! You guys are awesome and I hope Christmas is similarly treating you all awesome too!

Just so you know @Glen\-i, I still play a bit of Pokemon Shuffle everyday, and since it came out I've been eyeing for P&DZ+M at a cheap price - your post has made me look and I'm almost biting...keep pestering me! Thinking off the top of my head to topic and the games I've actually played, top 5 would be... 5. Mario Maker(by default virtue of actually having been played by me) 4. Majora's Mask(see above, would be higher but it IS a remake) 3. Rocket League - cracking game. Wondered if I'd get my moneys worth, this is a dangerous time sink and I wish I could check my playtime somewhere to see how much I actually have. Has occasional updates that have stopped it feeling too stale. 2. Splatoon - cracking game, absolutely cracking idea and execution on the basic gameplay front; infrastructure and some other decisions seriously flawed, but for a game that easily nabbed more than 100 hours off me this year it's well worth its spot. 1. Destiny:TTK - The one that stole Splatoon's crown. Did NOT think I would like Destiny as much as I have. Can't stop playing it, daily/weekly changes and excellent online infrastructure(at least on PS4) plus both my friends and much of the community here having it on the same platform have absolutely made this game for me. The wealth of content and variety is fantastic, and I very much enjoy it doesn't have to all be PvP or PvE - you basically choose how you want to play this game, and just keep on running with that. Cannot wait for what its future holds. *Yes, I have played Witcher, but I have not played it enough to place it suitable on the list here. Hell, I'm not sure I could even say the same of Mario Maker, but its own limitations on unlocking tools held it back for me rather than me not putting the time in, so Witcher for now has a pass.

One thing Super Mario RPG and the later Mario RPG-esque games brought in though was the timed dodges/attack boosts, which made the turn-based grinding a lot less gruelling for me. Such an absolutely cracking game though, chock full of charm, colour and character. Everyone who considers them a Nintendo/Mario fan really needs to have played it.
