None really, just a bit of simple fun I think. I was wondering if it maps just a single page or what, I guess it does though otherwise it'd get way too complicated. Nice little idea, still haven't seen/found anything to better weeyellowbloke's MPotD one. I tried the million dollar homepage, much more dissappoonted than expected, they must use some werid coding it doesn't recognise, Also really want to try one of them myspace pages absolutely overloaded with images sounds and effects, such as alot of girls tend to have, but now that I want one can't for the life of me find one!

This is more along the lines of a casual gamer for me too. The point of my post was that I didn't really know what defines a 'casual' gamer, and from the original post it just came across as you seem to think not being good at what you play makes you a casual gamer, yet I know people(well, one guy) that can pick things up and be awesome at them straightaway, but they aren't really gamers sort of thing? Amateur gamer indeed sounds more accurate for the orignal post to me, I think a casual gamer is more someone who doesn't really know alot about gaming, and just tends to buy stuff to pick up and play for 10 minutes or so whenever they have some free time. As for myself, I'm more along the lines for what Flinky described earlier, what would I call myself? A gamer. Simple as, not a hardcore gamer, and not a casual gamer, just a regular ole gamer.

What does it do/how does it work?

Has anyone ever actually had sleep paralysis(not the arm thing)? It isn't so much horrible to wake up from, in fact, very relieving to wake up from, but it is really bloody scary to have at the time, because I usually feel like I'll never wake up from it. I've had the arm thing a few times, the first time I had it was really scared my arm would never work again or something. It doesn't happen often, but I think it's really cool when it does now, well funny having to phsyically move it around using my other arm.

Is casual gamer just a nice term for shit gamer or something? I don't mean that to be offensive to you, but when I look at a word like that, I assume it involves some sort of time constraint, but the first post just makes it look like it describes someone who isn't very good at their gaming. (Either way, I'd suggest you consider a Wii)

I think waking up to find that you'd shat all over the place would be pretty damn horrific. I've never done it, but I swear I remember hearing a story of someone who did, but I just can't remember where. Even if it wasn't true, it was pretty entertaining. I guess waking up to find you'd pissed yourself would be pretty horrible too, just for the embarrassment of it. Waking up bleeding everywhere would just be scary! Waking up somewhere not knowing where you are is pretty weird too. The worst way to wake up that I actually have done, is probably after a night of heavy drinking, realising what you've done but mostly how shit you feel.

Yeah I agree. If by gross you mean... GROSSLY AMAZING! Cherries are awesome, and I can't believe I hadn't considered or seen them mentioned in this thread until now. It's been a while since I had cherries, but I love them. Not as much as mangod, which are the god of all fruits, but they're nearly as awesome. As for strwaberries, I find they're only really good with sugar, and I think a real fruit shouldn't need added stuff.

It was actually pretty funny, nice twist with the shakespeare, it made me kind of want to read romeo and juliet, which I realised I've never read. As for Lenny Henry, I quite like him, though he does jarr a bit sometimes, he's better than some other so called 'comedians' though. I just donated £10, I know it's not alot in the grand scheme of things, but it's quite alot for me at the moment, so I feel good about it

I beg to differ on that point, it is very much a part of some cultures, and I'd say british culture is one of them. Units are 1cl(10ml) of alcohol, so if you put the quantity of something into cl and multiply it by the percentage, you have the units in it, just for anyone not so sure of how to work it out. Where can you get the ears from? I keep seeing those adverts with them all in class, but never really payed attention, I assume it was a walkers thing and would involve sending off or something.

I have XP on my laptop, last night my laptop froze just as I was coming onto N-E's site, so I reset it as I normally do when it freezes up. But this time, windows doesn't start, everytime it tries(like at the xp loading screen) it'll suddenly restart the whole laptop again! I've tried loading in safe mode, loading in safe mode with command prompt, loading in safe mode for networking, pretty much every single option you can get by pressing F8 at startup. Nothing is working. When I try the safe mode loadups, it doesn't restart but instead it freezes at a file called Mup.sys. PLEASE does anyone know what I can do to fix this WITHOUT losing stuff on my hard drive? Even if I could just somehow boot it into dos/the command prompt, I just really really need to save like 1 file, which is my work due for a week from now, I don't want to have to do it again. EDIT: Ok, I left it longer and it went past that bit with Mup.sys, but proceeded to restart itself again. However, I found the floppy disk that came with the laptop, booted DOS off that, managed to get to my file(shouldnt have put it on the desktop) then copied it to another disk and to my computer, so I'm less fucked now. However, I still have a laptop that won't work, and I don't want to reinstall windows yet because I don't think the CD drive is working properly.

I thought John Smith's was english, just given its name, it's my typically drunk beer, cheap at wetherspoons and goes down smoothly. I like smooth draught bitters. Caffrey's is Irish? Didn't know that. I had some recently, was quite good actually, thought it might even be better than John Smiths! Very similar tasting though, I couldn't tell the difference without having both in front of me I don't think. I'm not a big fan of guiness, not beyond one pint, though I once had guinness draught too out of a green can(tasted more like john smith's) that I got in asda once most people didn't seem to know what it was.

Basically a big charity event where comedians and comediennes and celebritites and other people all get together to raise money, usually in some way through comedy. That's a pretty basic summing up. Something it's had since it started though, is Red Nose Day, you buy these little noses which are red, and you wear them! They cost like £1, with the majority of that going to charity beyond processing costs. The event occurs every two years, around march(3rd friday?), in the odd years, and the nose is different every time(sometimes has a face). Except, it's always red There will be lots of stuff happening on the show tomorrow night, which goes out live on bbc1. I dunno if they still do it, but they used to set targets like if they raise x amount of money by z oclock, they'll show such and such comedy. I swear I remember them doing that one year...I think. I was wee, I forget. Ashley, this year's nose is basically just a red sponge with a slit cut down it, so it probably shouldn't hurt too much really. Problem I have with red noses, is they never seem to fit properly, so they fall off, or fit too tight and hurt! Hmm, many a game for me(on gc), hard to choose really. Pikmin was really original and addictive, then there was metroid prime my first metroid game, and RE4 was bluddy brilliant, my first ever RE game too. Paper Mario? Could I count that, I dunno...I guess this is just turning into a list of all my favourite games.

You'd think it'd be jumping through hoops? Maybe it would, but it's a pretty amazing feat to have on video in my opinion. As for UK shots, people are right that they're typically 25ml though I've seen some places serving 35ml shots. Content wise dark rums tend to be 40%, as well as bourbons and scotch, white rums and vodka are typically 37.5%, what I'd call liquers(aftershock40%, sourz(15%), corky's, bailey's, tia maria and lusso, malibu, stuff like that) are typically much less, like 20-30% range. Some are as strong as straight spirits though, but it depends what it is really. Anyway, At 40% and 25ml that's 1 unit per shot, most pints are in excess of a unit. For a pint to be one unit, it'd need to be about 1.7% strength(english pint is 568ml I believe, 1/56.8), so even for a double measure of 50ml it'd only need to be a 3.5% strength pint to be equivalent to 2 units of alcohol. Say that it was a 4% strength beer, it'd be more 2 units per pint(rounded down) 8 of them then is 16 units, 16 units in half an hour is already alot, plus if it's a gassy beer it'll be very hard to keep down, that's why I found it so hard to believe. I am not saying it's impossible, I'm not calling you a liar, but until I actually see it I won't believe it, it just seems highly improbably to me. Emo, I don't really know myself either, but I'd assume alcohol gets absorbed the same even if you are pissing every couple of minutes, apparently it's quite fast to get into the system because it's small, but takes a while to get around the body.

I love the way you get all offended and seem to need to resort to using language with profanities and insulting people, I wasn't being mean, I was being absolutely serious; If you can have 8 pints of beer in half an hour and still be standing at the age of 17 you probably are some sort of medical miracle. Do you manage to drink it all without being sick? Of course, you wouldn't feel the need to justify yourself if you were lying, because you can't. Either way, just getting angry and swearing a bit didn't answer the question of what you're drinking 8 pints of. I can't make it to manchester any time soon, but if you could one day film such a feat, I would be mightily impressed to see it. Until then, I'll stick to my gut instinct that you're stretching the truth a bit, or even alot for that matter. That makes alot more sense, it's part of the reason why I don't go clubbing much either, I went out in central once and it was like £8 for a single shot!
