Im really starting to think if we dont win something big this season that it might be time to change managers. Benitez makes very weird decisions and doesnt seem to be able to admit when hes got something wrong and make changes to sort it out. Plus he plays Sissoko!!

I think a more mature and darker version would have worked for Spider-Man 3 but for a reinvention I dont think that would be the right way to go. Spider-Man isnt the same type of character as Batman, he doesnt need to go darker. I think they would need less relationship problems and boring Aunt May stories. The comics manage to make you like the Aunt May and MJ scenes but the movies really havent managed to do that for me. Spider-Man would need to be a hell of a lot more witty aswell. Also they needed to give you more reasons to like Peter. I was thinking about this while watching Spider-Man 3 and it occured to me that you dont believe this version of Peter would go through hell to get Aunt May her pills or anything else. Yes he'll go try save them when they get into danger once again but theres no urgency. I mean in Spidey 3 he took the time to open the case slowly then just stare at his suit.

Ive started with Liverpool as usual. Finding it pretty hard at the moment, having to try new tactics than the ones I used in FM07 and the FM08 demo (07 i just won everything, 08 demo I actually got fired)

Yeah we will definately need to get some replacements for the next season to make the lower league more interesting. The Championship next season however should be very competitive!

Well I have seen bits of the remake but its just never interested me. Lately though I have really got back into movies so i'll probably watch it all.

I havent seen either aswell but from what I hear about the remake is that its a bit disrespectful to the audience in the fact that it spoon feeds nearly all the information to you.

Yeah but it still wouldnt really work with one of them playing their proper character then one playing the parent. Plus id rather they went along the same route as the books with Kirks parents dieing when he was young, even if they arent canon and the movie is a re-imagining so doesnt have to go by known continuity.

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer - 7/10 I think I actually enjoyed this movie a lot more this time around, kind of the same as the first one aswell if I remember right. Didnt feel as slow as I remembered so I enjoyed it a lot more.

Sunshine - 7/10 Even though I find the events of the last third of the take a turn for the weird and seem a bit out of place in the movie I still really enjoy it. I think its just a shame now that I didnt see it on the big screen as ive heard that its amazing.

I would have been happy with the Ultimate version or if they did do the alien symbiote then to do it a bit more like the 90s Spider-Man cartoon which was very well done and you understood everything, obviously the 616 origin just wouldnt work in the movie universe. Venom in spider-man 3 isnt developed at all apart from that tiny scene with Doc Conners.

Yes it was definately botched up, but personally I think sticking to the comics for the basics of what the suit does makes a lot more sense. More than just making him an arrogant little shit.

Id call him B-List with the other heroes but powers wise he can and has actually held his own very well against a lot of the heroes.

Knowing the proper Venom saga like I do I just cant let the poor characterisation of Peter being affected by the suit slide, its just stupid.

Spider-Man 3 - 6.5/10 Well all the dvds that I ordered came finally after the post strikes. I still enjoy most of the movie but id love to know what they were thinking when they turned Peter emo and came up with the dance number/Travolta scenes.

No, as far as the Marvel universe goes Captain America is as high as you can get. Not the most popular in sales etc but he is say Marvels Superman in terms to status among other heroes.

All they said was that most of the cast may not return for the second season but that wouldnt mean they were dead. This new storyline doesnt feel wedged in at all, I think its working really well.

Im still quietly confident that Happenstance FC will emerge sucessful. Id better get a load of money for whenever I finish though as I want to strengthen my squad for the next season.
