We'll be starting Extra Life at 7am tomorrow (today) and internet connection permitting, once again will be live streaming the whole 24 hours so I hope some of you will tune in from time to time. Thats what I was thinking yesterday as Cube's copy is coming to my house for Extra Life but im still at work today so wouldnt be able to answer for it.

Yeah I only ended up paying for PS+ and not Xbox Live as well. I might have if their Games for Gold seemed worth it but the free games looked a bit lackluster.

I think it really is down to what games you are interested in. For me the only game I want for the One is the Halo Collection at the moment, I have others but havent found them worth an entire console. As for the console itself and the OS I will always recommend PS4 over Xbox One, as I've said before I have had a terrible experience with my Xbox and do not like it one bit whereas my PS4s OS might be a bit spartan but it works just fine. It also depends on how interested you are in multiplayer gaming and where your other friends are. PS4 seems to be the place for online if you want to meet up with other NE people but of course if you have other friends that have or will get an Xbox One then that could easily be another reason to go with that.

Yeah exactly. If a service is good then I have no problem paying for it. Thats why when stuff like Netflix streaming game along any torrenting I did dropped dramatically.

I think I'll just stick to the free streaming sites for now then.

Ive only really had one person on my Facebook who turned out to be racist and I deleted them as soon as I saw their comment. No interest in having them on there at all after that.

I had a quick try of a free video on their app but it didnt seem to be streaming very well. Does it actually let you choose between SD and HD or just assume everyone can stream HD video?

I wonder if Twitch implementing these new rules about archived videos not lasting forever will cause the Speed Running community to switch things up a bit. When they do their weeklong events I try to watch as much as I can live but not suprisingly I miss a lot so I tend to use helpful threads people post on Reddit to go back and watch the Twitch archives. Might not be able to do that this year and unfortunately they arent brilliant at getting everything up on their Youtube channel.

Yeah I feel the same with people posting photos of their hamsters :P
