Took me about 4 hours to complete but I didn't do all that much exploring. I didn't think it was the best gaming experience ever but still enjoyable. Really enjoyed the relationship between the two characters though.

Started playing this on PC the other day. It really does look incredible. I'm basically playing while keeping a finger over the F12 key for screenshots at all times.

*Braces self* I played most of the 2D games years later. Link to the Past still seems like a game I should love, especially given my love of Link Between Worlds but I think I've just always been in the wrong frame of mind when playing it. I've probably only made it an hour in each time I try. Ocarina of Time I don't think I played around launch but I was so disconnected from the rest of the N64 community and releases that I'm not actually sure. I know everyone loves OoT but that and Majoras Mask are the 3D ones I disliked the most. I obviously just didn't like the N64 all that much as I also don't like Super Mario 64. I got further in OoT3D but just got bored again. Bought Wind Waker at launch. Loved the art style and thought it controlled a lot better but once again I think it was more of a wrong frame of mind time. I must not have had the patience or the time to stick with it. I have Wind Waker HD on my Wii U and have gotten much further into it. Granted I've also stalled on that but I at least feel the urge to carry on with it at some point. I think it's because I just barely turn my Wii U on that I don't go back to it. Games on my PC or PS4 I go back to more because I have that constant reminder. I got Twilight Princess at launch but that was also around the time I was realising what a big mistake I'd made buying a Wii given how much I hated motion controls. Never played Skyward Sword. The motion controls put me off.

Anyway, back to TPHD... It'll be interesting to see if this is the first 3D Zelda game I actually complete. I've played most of them but just never seem to manage to stick with them. There's obviously something that draws me in to begin with but then I end up giving up. Wind Waker HD was the furthest I made it into a 3D Zelda game and A Link Between Worlds was the only Zelda game at all that I've actually completed.

No problem at all, I was only in this thread to read about TPHD to begin with. I just resented being attacked for making a single post which was a reply to someone else's comment and wasn't in any way an attack on Nintendo.

...I never said anything about Nintendo being lazy or spoke about Twilight Princess at all.

To be fair, ignoring the clusterfuck that was the Masterchief Collection's online modes, a hell of a lot of work went into the Halo 2 remastering, as did the Halo 1 one before that. They were anything but lazy ports.

Its really nice to see as well. I enjoyed the Nolan Batman movies but god damn was the fighting terrible in those. It was being outdone by DC's tv shows.

I think the Windows 10 version of Minecraft is controller compatible but I wouldnt really recommend playing the normal PC version with a controller, even with a mapping program.

New PC finally arrived so I got a couple more games for it. Rise of the Tomb Raider came free with the graphics card.

GameTrailers Shutting Down
Happenstance replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Big shame but I cant say I'm surprised. They've been slowly letting go of staff and reigning the site in for a couple of years now so it always looked like they were on their way out to me. -
Dont know how much it is on PS4 but I paid £13.49 on Steam.

Psylocke drops in and out of the X-Men from time to time (she's another one who has died a few times and switched bodies) but she's a fairly big member of the team. EDIT: Also she was in the 90s cartoon at some point, I just cant remember when or why
-
I still think the first movie was absolutely terrible but at least this one seems to be leaning into the crazy aspects of the Turtles (more-so than them being Ninja Turtles of course!). Just seeing Megan Fox though in the trailer brings it right down. She looks rediculous.

Dont worry about it at all

Sorry about that dan, your message basically came at the worst of times for me so I ended up forgetting to reply. I have to admit I havent used the Gear VR too much since Christmas but I cant really tell you how much of that is because the novelty had infact worn off or just because of the various issues my family has been dealing with throughout January. I never even got around to trying some proper games on it. I have found a couple of sideloading apps though which let me get an actual Youtube app and link the headset to my PC but I didnt have time to test them out properly. The S6 itself (I have an S6 Edge but still basically the same phone) is pretty awesome. I'd recommend that just if you wanted a new phone. The only thing though is that the S7 should be out in a month or so. I dont know if that would be compatible with this headset but you would hope so!

I'm planning on getting it next week once the new PC arrives. Are you enjoying it so far?
-
I cant remember where I heard it now but some chat about this made it sound like it was severely limited compared to the PC version and thats not including the loss of mods etc that I mentioned earlier in the thread. Im not bothering with it anymore.

Bought Firewatch on Steam ready for my new PC (which will hopefully arrive next week)

Thankfully I didnt get anymore emails after the few I mentioned and the chair of governors was satisfied with the explanation I gave. The alumni are ex parents/pupils so its not really a within the workplace thing but you'd think 3 emails people would just realise its some kind of glitch and delete 2 of them! Anyway I was more venting my annoyance at a crappy day than worried or getting in trouble thankfully. I kept my boss in the loop the entire time it was happening and she ok'd each email before I sent it out again so theres no backlash on me from the people that matter lol. I think my only real issue is that they are maybe being unrealistic on how quickly I can get all this alumni stuff running smoothly after only having started the job this year, still doing my old job as well while we wait for my replacement to start and handing me a new database that none of them know how to use and wanting me to manage 3000+ alumni ready for a big phone campaign that starts in 2 weeks. We'll see how I'm doing with it all at the end of the month I guess, I may have no hair by then though :p

Nightmare at work today. We are using new database software for our alumni and I tried to send out a bulk email to everyone but it errored out half way through so some people got the email and not others (the bloody software has no log or history to track emails sent either so I didnt know who). Anyway after talking to their support I sent another one, this one failed immediately so it didnt look like any went. Third time and they were sure on the fix, sent the emails and it failed again halfway through. Im now getting replies from alumni complaining that they are being bombarded by the same email and one of our alumni just happens to be our chair of governors so I got an angry email from him as well

Yeah buying GBA carts is a nightmare. I wanted to start getting some more (as I sold all my original ones yeasr ago) as they work on the Retron 5 but the knock off carts dont work so I'm always hesitant to even try now.
-
If possible I would prefer to have the boxes for cartridge games but if it doesnt have one then I'll still buy it. Disc stuff I would never buy without a box.
-
Typically, seeing this thread pop up again sent me straight to ebay last night to look for any deals. I think I'm going to take a page from @Goafer's book and start displaying my rarer games rather than them just sitting in a box somewhere. At the moment I'm thinking Chrono Trigger, Mega Man X, Shenmue 1 & 2, Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes and then maybe Phantasy Star II and III.

We really need a shot of the whole shelf sir. I wanna see some older games like Secret of Mana.
