Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
Happenstance replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
So, who's interested in hearing some news about the Nintendo NX? -
There are a couple of books set after Voyager ends which are quite good. They almost immediately split Seven and Chakotay up as well which I liked!
-
The curvy bookcase perspective confuses and bewilders me.

Right I'm going to post them here so I have an easy place to refer back to them: Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Super Metroid Super Probotector: Alien Rebels Chrono Trigger Super Mario World Super Mario Kart Lemmings 2 Mega Man X Super Mario All Stars Illusion of Time Starwing Tetris Battle Gaiden Super Tetris 2 Super Tetris 3

I love the way you describe it. Makes it sound like a really shit Megazord.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4/Xbox One - 26 October 2018)
Happenstance replied to Sheikah's topic in Other Consoles
Decided to stay positive and post this in here instead of the Red Dead Redemption Remaster thread. Rockstar just posted this to their twitter. [tweet]787639249864630273[/tweet] -
Maybe she went crazy because they got rid of her

Here's the interview with Jeri Ryan http://trekcore.com/blog/2014/11/ryan-mulgrew-feud/

Rewatching X Files at the moment now I've got the blu ray collection, still such a good show! They've done a good job with the blu ray as well. I'm only on the first season still but it's nice and crisp compared to the murkyness of the original releases.

Apparently it wasnt set in stone that it would be Kes that was axed. They had a short list of characters that they were considering, Harry Kim being one of them and possibly the most likely but around the time they were trying to decide he was featured in some top attractive people lists and they decided it was worth keeping him on with the good press. It was weird watching Voyager through again recently now knowing just how badly Jeri Ryan was treated by Kate Mulgrew. I quite liked their connection as characters but apparently Mulgrew made life miserable for her.

The PSN speeds really are a joke. I don't have a great connection as it is but if I leave a game downloading overnight on Steam I'll usually have about 10 gigs done by morning. I left Transformers downloading on my PS4 and got 4.5 gigs done.

What if it turns out that its only party chat and they are dropping games to take on Skype? -
I was looking through eBay again today to find some new SNES games and I realised I didnt know if I actually own half of them or not. I think I have some lists on a website or two but I have no idea how accurate anymore. Tomorrow I'm gonna have to get them all out and list them properly again. I'm also tempted to steal my old tv back from the spare room and set up a dedicated spot for retro gaming. At the moment with my Retron 5 being connected to the same tv as my current consoles it just gets lost in the sea of unfinished games.

I tend to be the same at the moment, its more curiosity than anything. When the announcement finally comes in 2018 I could get really excited though, who knows? My Wii U is unplugged but still on my desk as I wanted to get back to Tokyo Mirage Sessions at some point. I just have such a big backlog at the moment to get through!

I think what you (and probably the rest of us on the other side as well) need to remember is that both sides feel the same and both can say they have had members leave due to the problems with the forum. I dont agree with you that Ronnie is being bullied, just reacted to but I dont want to take it any further as Rummy only just requested we keep it on topic. -
Preordered, thanks

Honestly at this point I just don't want to. I'm not here to help fix the threads, that's for mods and admins. I'd rather chat about it in a thread where people won't get attacked for even a slightly negative opinion.

...yep, this thread really is a joke -
Annoyingly as a combination of Giant Bomb talking about how great the SNES was in an old video I'm watching and me talking about the Virtual Console....I'm now looking on eBay to buy a load more SNES carts.

I'd forgotten this thread existed until Kaepora_Gaebora moaned about it in the other thread. Seeing as this is usually the better place to have conversation (and the other NX thread has been a shit show for the past day or so) I'll ask here. What are you guys actually hoping the NX will be? We've all mentioned the usual things like having system level features would be standard now but as a whole package, games included, what do you want? For me at the moment, assuming that all the basic rumours are true regarding home and portable use, I would want a system that is at least comparable to the current generation, even if its only comparable when used at home but I wouldnt want any reduced features when I took it portable. It could look slightly worse but I would want to be playing the same game wherever. I dont think there was anything particularly wrong with the Wii U OS design but personally I would want them to move away from the more kiddy-ish stuff and just provide a nice, sleek OS to use. No folders though :p A subscription service for the Virtual Console would be amazing and one of my top picks. I own a lot of physical old games as part of my collection but its always a hassle to install them and I never bought any for the Wii or Wii U because I didnt trust their god awful account services so a subscription service would be perfect. Games-wise. I've gotten a bit bored with Nintendo games over the past few years, less so with the handhelds so I guess I would want it to lean more in that direction. To be honest I'm not even sure what that means. Its probably because I've never really liked the 3D versions of Mario or Zelda (preferring the 2D ones). I am still planning on getting the new Zelda but as of yet I have no idea which platform I will be going for.

How does it show Netflix on the PSVR? I love my GearVR Oculus Netflix app: Not sure how it works on my Vive, I only tend to watch Netflix in VR with a wireless headset.
-
I don't think I was all that impressed with Nintendoland when I got it. It was probably because it was the comparable game to Wii Sports but either way, nothing kept me playing past that first day or so.

This is why I only tend to watch Youtubers for entertainment, not opinions on games or even news. They were thrown into the deep end of all this stuff really quickly with publishers offering them money to play their games and stuff, with most of them not bothering to let their viewers know this until maybe the last year or so. People may not like a lot of the games media these days with gamergate crap etc but I will always go to them first for actual opinions, Giant Bomb especially as its a personality driven site so you've had years to actually get to know them and understand the "why" behind something they might say.

To be fair the original Rez is a very well thought of 15 year old game anyway.
