Same as the 360 gen I guess, people will just phase in their new TVs. Took me a lot longer than it should have to switch from SD to HD. I think a lot of people though have already made the switch to 4K. The TVs are surprisingly cheap these days.

That's a good point. I never remember that because I never used my phone enough to justify changing from Pay As You Go. A full on console subscription could work. Rolling in both PS+ and PS Now to give the users the extras they'd need. Have you basically pay off your console and then the option to resub to those services afterwards. I'd consider something like that.

I do wonder if the gaming community just has an unrealistic expectation for the price of gaming consoles these days. They are willing to pay £1000 for ipads and phones etc but a console that has a lot of tech in it should still be cheaper for some reason.

I don't game as much as I used to but I'm sure I'll still be locking in my preorder as soon as they become available. I'm such a sucker.

My problem is that we know this happens all the time. Technologies that prove to be successful get folded into other products in every industry. The only time it really gets mentioned though is when someone wants to make a snide comment or in a stupid game of one upmanship that we sadly get on this forum way too often. I doubt you were trying to make anything more than a joke but we've had so many shitty arguments over the years that I'd rather not start that again.

You post an interesting article and that is your only comment? Do we really have to resort to that immediately? If you think HD rumble is good then why wouldnt you want variations of it elsewhere as well?

Going forward I'm considering doing this for my modren games: This is basically my blu ray and DVD collection now. I put them all in plastic sleeves and created custom cd sized cardboard covers for each movie so it looks good when I'm flicking through them. I keep track of what I have by using the Blu-Ray.com app as a library I or anyone else (I think @goafer tried it once) can search through and choose something to watch. Before this I had everything in 4 big cd wallets and they just sat in cupboards never getting touched. This (along with the projector and screen) has completely revitalised my movie collection. Plus as you can see it's also become my cats favourite spot.

Yeah I’m much happier with my collection now. It’s a bit sad that all the SNES carts have to sit in a drawer but they are just so hard to display. The Mega Drive ones are all out in the bookshelf though. I still have the majority of my consoles, even the ones I got rid of the games for but they sit piled up in my wardrobe. One day I’d actually like to have the space to display those.

Marvel finally announced the Inifinty Saga boxset. I was originally planning on getting it but $550 for that just doesn't seem worth it.

I’m just finishing off Dynamite at the moment and think it’s been a great show. First time in years that I’ve been able to watch a weekly wrestling show and not feel the need to fast forward. While I do agree that you’d hope this kind of stuff will force both companies to produce better products I have to say that even if the WWE did improve a hell of a lot, I still wouldn’t be watching them. They’re just a dirty company that doesn’t deserve to exist anymore. All the Saudi stuff especially has soured me on them so much that I’m completely done with them. They’ve got a load of very talented wrestlers so I hope I can see them elsewhere someday where they will actually be used well.

First episode of AEW Dynamite is up on the ITV Hub app if anyone is interested in watching. Sounds like they beat NXT in the ratings.

Going to attempt to learn some C# and this book seems to be highly recommended for beginners.

I've cancelled my Stadia preorder. I still think its an interesting idea but without knowing what kind of exclusive games it may get, at the moment it just doesn't feel like I need it. I'll get multiplatform games elsewhere and I'm already signed up to PC Game Pass and soon probably PS Now so games that I might not buy are accessibile to me as well.

I really hope that it's just a bad trailer because that focussed way too much on Harley Quinn and the other Birds of Prey seem pointless. At the moment it looks bad to me. To be honest it never should have been a Bird's of Prey movie as that's not a Harley Quinn thing. Would have been much better as Gotham City Sirens with Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

I might sign up now. Better price and more games sounds good to me. I try to be a bit more careful with the games I buy this year so it'd be nice to have another way to try the games that look interesting but I don't necessarily want to buy. I have no issue with them cycling games on and off the service. I'm not buying the games so I don't expect to always have access to them.
