I have old knowledge, cos' I'm old/my knowledge was right when I looked into it a year or so ago.

It's my understanding that O2 only traffic shape their ADSLMax offering (the Access/"Up to 8Mb" package) and the LLU (The Be stuff) is untainted.

Last night I jogged home from work (about three and a half miles), and this morning I jogged to work. Tonight I'll be cycling home, then cycling to work tomorrow then running home, etc, etc. So yeah, my legs hurt. I'm loosely doing this: Did someone here post this, or did I find it elsewhere? The balance in the first week is just right for me.

Joined the gym at work (free) so I can use the showers there.

Mud guards? Water proof trousers? Something to keep your trousers from catching in your chain? Pump? Back pack? Water proof jacket?

I bought these: I'm going to start running to work 50% of the time. ()

I like everyone seeing what I listen to. It concretes my image as "cool dude to the max."

I mainly cycle on a cycle/footpath with parts that vary in degrees of maintenance. It is generally fine - a big bump will make you shudder, but a regularish tarmaccy, slightly rough bit of path is totally fine. On a road it is super nice.

I have a Claud Butler Urban 300 from 2009. Except I swapped the seat post for one without suspension. I love it, but if I were to buy another bike today I'd get it with even thinner tyres and a lighter frame. I paid RRP because I bought it from the local bike shop rather than the internet. But now they feel responsible for it and are willing to do little things for free - like tweaking my brakes, or adjusting the gear cables when they stretch after first use. The bike scheme is the thing that Ashley seems to be eligible for. Your employer has to set it up. At the company I work for you: 1. Buy a bike 2. Get it remimbursed 3. Pay it off in 12 monthly payments from your salary. These payments are before VAT, Tax, National Insurance. You save about 40%, which means a £400 bike is more like a £240 bike @jayseven.

I cycle to work! (3.3 miles each way.) I love gears. When I started cycling the world exactly divided into parts that were uphill and parts that were downhill. There is no flat. There is no flat. There is no flat. I have a hybrid that cost £300-ish that I got on the bike scheme. Prior to that I had a £70 bike from Halfords. You get what you pay for; the £70 bike fell apart very quickly and weighed a ton, whereas my new bike has served me faithfully for a couple of years, a couple thousand miles, and I love it. You can get cheap waterproof trousers/jackets/gloves from Aldi that do the job. I have my tyres filled with slime and have Schwalbe anti-puncture tyres so I very rarely get a puncture that causes an issue. A brilliant investment.

I'm happy to stick with the Final 3. Even more happy about a fantastic win today. Bit gutted at a red card, but the rest of my team played well. Just had a quick glance through your team and noticed some stuff (feel free to ignore anything I say!). This game is all about long term development (today's 18 4 could easily be a 26 10 in eight seasons time, if they maintain high form and play lots of games). Your team needs more youth (you'll lose a lot at first, but long term you'll compete): GKs: Rik Maakay: 28 6 - Okay, but a bit old. Probably will never be more than a 6. Peter Dorland: 18 3 - Okay, but 18 4s are cheap so you'd be better picking up one of those from the market. You could get an 18 4 with cool as ice for less than 250k. I'd play Maakey for most of the time interspersed with your new 18 4 that you buy. Make sure you try and get the 18 4s dev value up to 16 at least. Do that for a couple of seasons and the 18 4 will take over as your main keeper as a 21 7. Defenders: Oscar Loeben: 29 7 - Okay for now. Good to keep your age balance up. Theo Golt: 29 3 - Dross, never play him. Sack as soon as you can. Unlikely to sell. Melvin Matthijs: 26 4 - Dross never play him. Sack as soon as you can. Unlikely to sell. Wim Dijk: 26 8 - Good. Play him every game. Marcel van Galen: 26 5 - Average. I wouldn't bother. Milan Zoetebier: 21 5 - Could be okay long term. You need to get yourself an 18 4 (or two) (I say 18 4 because they are relatively cheap but long term they can turn into good players) that you play as much as possible. With a back four I'd play Loeben, Dijk, Zoetebier and a new youth that you need to buy. Midfielders: Tim Hol: 28 7 - Decent and good for average age. Remco Janssen: 25 5 - Dross, never play him. Sack as soon as you can. Unlikely to sell. Daan Wielink: 24 8 - Great player. Nice special qualities too. Set him as your free kick taker until you can grow a decent one. Stijn van Velzen: 24 5 - Dross, never play him. Sack as soon as you can. Unlikely to sell. Leonard van Brakel: 23 6 - Average. Allan van N´wenhuyzen: 21 5 - Could be okay long term especially with his special quality. Buy an 18 4 (or two!). Play Hol, Wielink, van N´wenhuyzen and a new youth that you need to buy. Forwards: Thijs Feskens: 26 8 - Good player Ruud Stuy: 25 4 - Rubbish Marc Hermans: 24 6 - Okay Patric Barculo: 20 6 - Good player The outlook is good here because you have a good 26 8 and a good 20 6. They should be your front 2 nearly every game. You could buy a youth (16 2/17 3/18 4) that has goal instincts as a special quality. It makes a massive difference. Overall: One of the youths you buy (any position) should be a specialist freekick taker - it makes a difference. If you have the money buy a young forward with freekicks and goal instincts - it is an unholy combination. Think I've rambled enough. :p

We all live without the Cube-Europe stuff. My vote would be to cull every thread older than a year, or something similarly drastic. I love culling.

My car gets about 36mpg which means I'm spending about £2k a year on petrol. That sucks, so I've been looking into cars with higher fuel economy, as the initial cost could be quickly offset by fuel savings. I've been looking at Audi A2 - don't make them anymore and can be expensive to maintain but have super high mpg. Audi A3 1.9 Diesel - This is very attractive to me. Skoda Fabia Diesel Estate - bit ugly. Any other ideas? I need 5 doors and decent boot space, as we go away a lot. Also, not French, as I have killed two French cars.

I have a bit of OCD about neatness. I like everything to be symmetrical or parallel, stacked in size order, alphabetised, that kind of thing. My kids have a hard time because sometimes I tidy away their toys while they're still playing with them. It's worse at work where I am fully in charge of my domain.
