  1. I have a plug that has a USB thing so I can wall charge, but basically all I use my bike for is to get to work, and back, where I use a computer all day - I'll most likely be recharging with corporate electricity.
  2. A new front bike light for the princely sum of £29.99. I got my old one out of storage and it had destroyed itself with brown liquid. This one is USB rechargeable! In the shop the guy was showing me different ones, and when he shone this one in my eyes I couldn't see anything afterwards. "I'll have that one please."
  3. Maybe this will get me laid!
  4. I've been on holiday for half term (just staying with in-laws in the wilds of Northumberland/chilling in Alnwick) and now I'm back at work it's like I was never away. Stress levels are immediately back up, and I'm counting down to Christmas. I have a slacker job too - it would be well worse if I actually had to work at full steam all the time.
  5. Family did Halloween: Mummy, pumpkin, bat, mad scientist. Obviously. @Shorty - you look awesome.
  6. Good luck! (In my experience the proposal part will be just as terrifying!) A couple of hours later when your girlfriend is crying because of her fear of commitment, that's totally normal too. Right guys?
  7. That's what @Ashley said.
  8. This is actually kinda annoying. In most cases you don't want to make the candidate sit around in reception for 20 minutes, so you go and get them a bit early. But really, it would be better to stick to the agreed time. Slightly early is good - 20 minutes is overkill (though it may be different with other employers). LOLwhut? I guess that's an alright thing? Never crossed my mind as an interviewer. This is about 50% of the job process for us. I work in a team of six and it is vital that we like anyone that works with us. Personality is very important - you don't have to be super confident and all that, just likeable, and not overly introvert.
  9. There are 14 pounds in a stone, so 14 pounds = 1 stone. If you can't get it from that, then there is no hope for you.
  10. Sorry dude, as you worked out by the end of your post, there is no 17st 14.
  11. Just two pounds I'm afraid. 14 pounds in a stone. Reduce you're happiness by 33%.
  12. Today was one of those unexplainable results, but this time not in my favour. Gotta take the X11 rough with the smooth though.
  13. I'm in week 3 of the couch to 5k program and it is working out quite nicely. Each week there is a step up in effort required, but it is incremental so I'm finding it manageable. It still seems like a foreign idea to me that in a few weeks I'll be running for 30 minutes, but hopefully that's what'll happen. I've only lost a couple of pounds but my trousers and shirts are looser. Maybe it's all the muscle I'm putting on. Also, shin splints are the worst thing ever, and stretching is amazing.
  14. In XP the Windows Picture And Fax Viewer shows animated GIFs? Has it regressed?
  15. But ... Peppa Pig is good.
  16. Similarly, the n-europe forums image at the top of the N-Europe Full Width scheme goes somewhere funny, when it used to go to the Forum Index.
  17. I think my team has high home advantage (only lost 13% of home games ever) but performs very badly away from home. 4-1 surprised me too, but it was in a nice way.
  18. Why has @Ellmeister not come in here yet? Is it becaUSE i BEAT HIM SO BAD THAT HE FORGOT HOW TO TYPE? (LOL, Accidental caps but I'm leaving it.)
  19. Realistically you'll not get better than a 16 year old 6 rated youth, so with a couple of dumble jumps and going up every year they'd max out as a 32 year old 24 rated player. I've never seen that. That's practically impossible. A very very good player is an 18 rated player. My forward Fritjof Tygesen is a 23 10, and I'm super chuffed with him. He'll maybe top out as a 14/15. Once they hit the late 20s it is hard to develop players, and at that point you need to be focussing on the next batch of young dudes.
  20. Just been to the kitchen cupboard and it's not in my bolognese sauce. Yay for Aldi!
  21. Lemon juice in bolognese? Is this some popular thing I'm not aware of, or is it a weird thing?
  22. I know what you mean, like I prefer Hardy Howarth to @Ellmeister.
  23. Not sure if they are a member of the forum, but ... they haven't been online on Xpert11 since 20th August so you have a great advantage! Buy their most recent tactics report so you can counter their tactics exactly, then play a youth team. You'll win but will have gained some good youth dev. It's the Lower League way!
  24. I have uneven dual monitors at work and it's no biggy. You set them up as the appropriate sizes so that's fine then I normally just use my smaller one for email/trivial things.
