The Captain Toad levels are another thing that convinces me this was originally in production for the 3DS as a 3D Land sequel. When I played the first one I just thought it seemed made for the 3DS. Do love them though wish there were more....so yeah would love more as DLC... if priced right... also dont get why it requires the Gamepad for them. only had one so far that needed it and that was just to touch blocks to raise them. Unless there more later that really need the Gamepad I dont see why i must switch away from my pro controller

This. Yeah I couldn't put my finger on it till recently but yeah, with it being in 3D enviroments you have expectations from games like Galaxy where the speed of your run was based on how you used the stick and you have attack buttons. Yet 3D World, despite the name, controls like a 2D game, no anologue walk/run, a run button and no attack button (unless you have a powerup). The set up seemed perfect for a handheld 3D Mario on the 3DS as I said before but feels a little odd on a home console. That said I'm still enjoying what I've played so far. Some of the levels have been brilliant and the game just pops with colour wonder. And teh music is just top notch Mario tunes About to pop it on now actually... but my son wants to play so I'll prolly just use a cloned file so he doesn't use up all my lives

As in you sent them a Friend Request from teh Friend List App and they recieved a Notification asking if they wanted to accept? I was only just wondering if they had fixed that

Went down a treat over Xmas this did (when we got the kids off of 3D World) Having the Mii's on screen singing gave everyone a good laugh and I loved the Stage Creator I turned on the in-dept ratings to give everyone a chance for some bragging rights on scores, the available songs seemed hit and miss for some though, while there is a fairly large selection of songs there are still a lot of songs that people wanted to sing but weren't on it But everyone still had a good laugh anyway, cheers again to @martinist for giving me his free 7 day pass, we got two good days out of it over Xmas and I'm planning to use it again at home this weekend before it runs out

So this went down a treat at Xmas.... mainly for the kids as they just took over and you can't really say no to kids at Xmas, haha. We were first to arrive at my sisters house on Xmas Eve as planned (as I wanted to have the Wii U set up before anyone else arrived of course) So once I had it set up my own son and my nephew Conor were already shouting at me (well they started before I finished setting it up) that they wanted to play "Mario Catching"... It's what they call NintendoLand because of teh Mario Chase game...even though my own sons fav game on it is the Pikmin one he still calls it "Mario Catching" I had wanted to surprise them with Mario 3D World thinking I'd give them an early Xmas surprise I said "We could play Mario Catching ...OR ... we could play this NEW MARIO GAME I GOT!!!" The reaction I was expecting was "OMG A NEW MARIO YAY" The reaction I got "NO WE WANT MARIO CATCHING" *facepalm* So I tricked them and said "ok give me a minute I'll put on "Mario Catching"" and proceeded to put in 3D World, when the title screen came up they were on to me "THAT'S NOT MARIO CATCHING!!!!" Then once they saw the little intro FMV play they were both "YAY MARIO" So I played my first game of 3D World with two 3 year olds, (I started the game on File 3 so I could restart on File 1 after Xmas when I got home) didn't do too bad I must say But once some of the other families and kids arrived I gave up my controller to let them enjoy and take turns. Had a few little games over the few days but the kids were the ones who had the major sessions which was fine and what I planned anyway. Lots of sad faces then on the 26th when I had to pack it up and head home haha. So yeah just had a good session on it, really enjoying it. Bit weird, still can't shake the feeling "this feels more like a handheld Mario" prolly cause 3D Land felt like the perfect way to do a 3D Mario game on a handheld, but it does have that bit of extra polish that it also feels like a console Mario sitting somewhere between NSMB and a full on 3D Mario type game. I like that the World map has a bit more freedom to it, while you have that classic 2D Mario map you but you can "leave the path" and walk around it The Cat power up is cool and I love climbing walls and finding secrets with it but my fav new item is teh Cherry Wish it featured in more levels though haha. Just beat the "Castle" on World 4 and opened up World 5 before calling it a night got something like 96Green Stars too. Looking forward to playing more. Oh how do the Ghost Miis work? Can you delete and/or update a Ghost? My own Ghost appears on teh very first level, I've beaten it but when I replay the level it is still the original ghost and not the faster one? EDIT Oh forgot to add pics Some of the kids playing 3D World... room looks empty in this pick as some people had already left when this was taken. My son playing on the GamePad (he will only play on the Gamepad)

WHAT HE FRAK??? I just added 20euro to my eShop in prep for Xmas in case the family wanted to play Tennis and Bowling And it actually is for 25th and 26th... Don't know why they just put the 26th in the headline.

Kav buddy the way you've typed those bolded parts makes it sound/read like you've experience BOTH scenarios... (unless you also have a back from the dead story to tell....) I think maybe what is going on here is a difference in opinions between how people view "death" @kav82, dude can I ask why do you think death is worse than spending a lifetime in prison (regardless of where that prison may be)? Do you have a belief in an afterlife? In a hell? Or is it just the fear of death? Maybe you do, maybe you don't I'm just guessing going by how your post (mainly the bolded parts) reads that you prolly do....no offence intended if I'm wrong I think what people who say to kill him (Ian) would be giving him an "easy way out" more than likely don't believe in an afterlife or hell, once your dead your dead, there is nothing you just cease to be. In such a scenario that does seem like a "easy way out" as the person (in this example, Ian) wouldn't be potentially suffering for 35 years behind bars..... hopefully suffering physically in some way maybe due to being beat up/mistreated by other inmates but hey that's just my own personal hope :p I do get what people like Kav are saying though that "lets just kill him and be done with", while 35 years might be a lifetime, if he survives that long he could still potential walk out a free man one day and potentially still be a threat to the innocent (even if he is 70 odd years old). But I myself would be of the mind that I wouldn't want to give him (or anyone) the death sentance, not because I am against it for humanitarian reasons but because I see it also as an "easy way out". Now I don't know the history of how when and why a death sentence first came about in law but I do imagine it likely had religious reasons, ie: lets kill this person we deam evil so that he/she will burn in hell for eternity. I'm not a religious person (though yeah I celebrate Christmas, but not for religious reasons.... but lets not get side tracked here) and I don't believe in heaven or hell so unless you can gaurantee me killing someone like Ian would definately result in him being tortured for an enterity in hellfire I'll stay thinking "a death sentence is a quick release". What I will say though, and this will prolly make me seem a bit brutal, is I do think people who are convicted of crimes such as murder and rape should be made suffer as much as possible if it were possible. If I could change laws I'd bring back in whippings or beatings for such people, weekly maybe daily beatings for the lenght of their prison term. Or some sort of torture. One thing I do not get is human rights groups for example getting upset if criminals were mistreated, the way I see it if someone takes away someone elses basic human rights by killing or raping them than that person should be considered to have given up their own basic of human rights to for example not be tortured But hey that's just me, my little twisted opinion, it is not in the legal system, I have no power to change the legal system so I'm not going to get all in a fuss whenever I see someone convicted and keep saying "give him 100 lashes a day with a spikey whip" or similar beating scenarios. If this is an issue with the lenght of his sentence, while I would have liked to see him get more time (50 years would have been a good minimum I think) as I understand it 35 is maximum he could be given by law for the charges he was found guilty of (correct me if that is wrong). I have seen people say that for crimes such as these it should be treated like murder so a longer punishment could be given. But I read a very good point (can't remember who or where exactly but I think it was someone on FB) that if for example child sexual abuse had the same max punishments in law as Murder then you could just end up creating a scenario where the numbers of murders following sexual abuse occur increase. eg: If a sex abuser knows punishments for both crimes of sexual abuse and murder are the same, they'd probably be likely to think "well I can't be punished any worse for murder than I would be if I was found out for the sex abuse so may as well be in for a penny in for pound". And that is why there are differing sentences for differing crimes.

Oh yeah I forgot you were playing the original not the Directors Cut... though I do believe you can still tranq or stungunb bosses to "death" on the original if you so choose

@lostmario how in the hell did you manage a 2 Under Par on the Lakeside 9, fair play to ya, I can get birdies on the first 4 holes but the 2nd 5 just kill me....wind certainly ain't helping either

It is actually possible to beat the bosses with stealth weapons..... it is also possible to beat the bosses without using any weapons! (except the last) if you can manage to keep calm and explore the boss area without dying

ah cool, I've had similar happen on Resort a few times but the ball would land on the rim of the hole and stay there... have also had it hit the pole go in the hole and bounce out :P that was mega rage time

Fair play, which hole you get it on? What were wind conditions like? I assume then you were playing on local mode yeah

I've not followed it fully but sounds like the owner has some otehr issues with Malkay other than their position, which as has been said is pretty decent for a newly promoted team...what does the owner expect to be pushing for the title? Read something about Malkay saying he hoped to buy 3 new players in the Jan Transfer window and the owner getting upset saying he wasn't giving a penny for new players. Overall it is such a stupid ultimatum, Resign or be sacked? Of course he won't resign, he knows he'll get nothing for resigning and prolly has a decent severance package in his contract. The owner can't force him to resign (sounds like he wants to not pay Malkay off)

Also here's something else to put in the "Things Nintendo Need to Fix" pile Found out last night the Stamps/Acheivements can only be gained in Local Offline Play... even if you acheive something during online play it'll be recorded in your stats but you won't get the Stamp Spotted this when I realised I had no stamp for getting a Chip-In in teh Golf last night Here's my Play Records showing I have 1 Chip-In But I don't have the stamp/acheivement Minor issue but very annoying, imagine if you got a Hole-In-One during online play, you may never get one again (I know I've only ever had one ever between both Sports and Resort..got it on Resort)

Alright cool, might catch you for some games this evening then FYI, I won the game last night, now 5 for 5 (I'm so gonna jinx myself soon) I do like the tennis... dispite losing 90% of my games haha, not bought it yet though trying to hold out on that but got a feeling I might do over Xmas when family around... could just get a day pass I guess but then if I ever do decide to buy it later I'll feel I overpaid overall Same goes for Bowling....prolly more so Bowling as I know my cousins who'll be at my sisters for Xmas enjoy that more than Tennis And yeah all games require Motion+ in Sports Club I experienced it on Resort Ping-Pong and Sword Play and Tennis on Club but never in any other game, including Skyward Sword.
