I must be showing my age then am I, haha ... ye youngsters today, sheesh yeah I really liked them, my son was jumping round try to headbang and all when they were on (I'm raising him well methinks ) yeah same, though they never fully do the games section justice at least they did have teh Wii U there, before the show I was worried it would be just PS4 and Xbox1, thought surprised Mario 3D World wasn't demo'd? They were sisters? Must be half/step sisters then I guess they look nothing like each other, the older one looks half Asian (was thinking Half Filippino maybe) so thought. Yeah that was one of the few cringy parts to this years show...which in fairness actually had less cringy and pretencious kids than usual, so that a big plus Here's a clip of the those two sisters which I forgot to post previously, that's all the clips up so far, hopefully they add more later

So @Diageo what did you think of it last night? @Wii you watched it too yeah? Anyone else? I thought it was pretty damned good Though seeing my son go loving it may have made it seem better than it was so wondering what others thought. I thought all the acts were pretty decent, expect the first one with the teddy bears, favs were the rock band and the Cup Song, checked RTÉ's Youtube they only have few vids of last night up, surprised they don't have the intro up which as I said last night was a Mary Poppins themed one. Boy demoing FIFA gets stunned with surprise appearance of Robbie Keane Also found this on Facebook The Cup Song, I liked this cause the intro actually surprised me, I should have seen where it was going but I didn't This is a clip of a young man who got to co-host a section, strange one how this came about, few weeks ago the host Ryan Tubridy, got an email from this kid asking to co-host the Toy Show cause he suffers from "Middle-Child Syndrome", letter was apparently very good that Ryan granted his request....kid actually did pretty well too...won;t be surprised if he ends up hosting a kids show on RTÉ next year BOSCO!!!!!! Ok NOBODY outside Ireland will have a clue why this is such a big deal, this is was a massive piece of nostalgia for kids of the 70's 80's and early 90's. Bosco was a puppet who host a kids show that ended back in the 90's and hasn't been seen till last night. When I heard the voice and then saw him I had a reaction similar to when Ireland score a goal in football There were a few good other moments, surprised they haven't uploaded more clips, like the girl who has 2 pet pigs named "Rasher and Sausage" and the hyper-active (possibly split personalty girl) who went from looking like she'd either throw a tanturm or throw a punch to being suddenly calm and doing a bit of ballet.

PS4 only showed off that robots in the controller thing (can't believe Nintendo never thought of that, would have worked so well with Pikmin) And on Xbox One they showed FIFA 14, and then surprised the kid demoing it asking him who was his favourite Irish player, he said "Robbie Keane" and next thing Robbie walks out

OK I guess quick explaination for the non-Irish here? Yeah? K. On Irist TV channel RTÉ there is a weekly Friday night talkshow called the Late Late Show, normal talk show, host interviews various celebs and sports people, talks about current events maybe and the like. But the show four Fridays before Christmas the show becomes the Late Late Toy Show. A 2.5-3hour showcase of what are expected to be the most popular toys this coming Xmas. With Kids of various ages doing demos of the different toys (or even some book reviews).... as you can imagine this being a live show more often than not when kids are involved (especially younger ones) things don't always go as rehearsed :P There's also usually some musical acts, dance numbers and the odd celeb guest. Been going on annually since I think the 1970's and is now traditionlly how we Irish mark the true begining of the Christmas Season. Christmas doesn't start till the Toy Show happens! End of! So yeah it's on tonight, 9.30pm, looking forward to it as usual. It can be very hit and miss, some years it doesn't quite live up to the hype, others it can so looking forward to see if it is a good show this evening It's actually viewable internationally on the RTE website this year, so if anyone is tempted to be bombarded with Xmas colours and constumes and possibly (most likely) a few cringy moments when things go wrong or kids screw up... or in general the host screwing up (also likely) or maybe we'll get lucky and have a few good musical/dance acts this year too. You should try check it out. There's also this thing where if you can tickets to be in the audience you'll pretty much have all your Xmas gifts given to ya as every 10 minutes or so the Host after showing off something will say "There's 1 for Everybody in the Audience", I tried entering comps every year to win tickets...not been lucky yet I'm very interested to see what happens in the video games section this year. I remember last year the show was the same day as the Wii U released, but the Wii U wasn't on the show , (but they did have Wii and 3DS stuff, can't remember what though?) so wondering will Xbox One and PS4 (which as ye know also out today) be on this years show, I would hope the Wii U will/should at least get a shout in this year with Mario 3D World... but you never know. The games section tends to be very short and rushed. Almost there, found the final two Sages I had left last night Also found the last two heart pieces I was missing so now have all 20 hearts.

Forgot to mention when I was in Gamestop on Friday to pick up Zelda I spotted they moved the Wii U section again, back to the shelf space beside the counter so it very hard to miss it now. It only one section still though, bout 6 cases wide, 8 cases high. But still it better than where it was previously tucked in a corner by the door which you can;t see as you walk in (that space is now Vita), so I'll take that as a positive I guess.

Had my first go on a PS4 today, Went into Smyths Toystore to pick up Xmas gifts for the son and spotted they had a demo pod (surprised Gamestop doesn't have one). The controller felt better than I expected, was never a fan of PS, PS2 and PS3 controllers TBH, which is why I was disappointed to see Sony keep the same general shape, but in the hand it actually felt very comfy. Smaller than I thought it would be too, looked bigger in pictures (prolly due to the touchpad), in contrast the console itself was a bit bigger than I thought it would be, looks smaller in pics/videos But of course not as big as an Xbox One which had a demo pod beside it, that thing is even bigger in person!.... no controllers on that though so couldn't try it (unless I was meant to use Kinect?) Overall I don't think the demo pod for the PS4 does it any justice, I was going through the menu and it was just all videos about the console, the controller and stuff, took me awhile to find the games (had to press "down" *facepalm*) and found a lot of game boxarts staring at me and thought WOOT, went into Battlefield 4....no demo...screens and video only....tried Killzone next.....no demo.... Watch Dogs.....no demo.... Destiny....no demo....AC4:Black Flag...no demo There were a few other games, can;t remember which, that all had no demo to play just screens and video to watch. Only Knack and FIFA had playable demos, didn't bother with FIFA, tried Knack and TBH, meh. DEfinately a nice piece of kit though, I'm sure someone I know will have one by end of year so I can get a hands on with it properly

Sages numbers 4 and 5 rescued from Turtle Rock and Swamp Palace last night.

Can't remember how many hours I put in this BEAUTY of a game...prolly 300+ (I played through it twice ) So have you still not finished the game Flinky? Where are you storywise now?

I loved the Ice Ruins Was the first Sage Temple I did Fav dungeon of game so far :awesome: Lol, both funny and awesome : peace: I have not died once, I R AWESOME Though I did come very very close on the Ice Ruins boss, had like 3 hearts left. Anyway I had a little afternoon session, put off doing my 4th Sage dungeon for now (still deciding which to do ) and decided to find the last 10 Maiamai's almost all of them were hidden under big rocks that needed Titan Mitts to lift, so glad I chose to do the Desert Palace after getting the Sand Rod So yeah all 100 Maiamais found, though I was a little disappointed in the reward, sure a powered up spin attack is nice, but I've barely used the spin all game was hoping for a heart piece or halfdamage :p Speaking of heart pieces found one and then realised I was one away from a new heart, and remembered I still had to get the one from the Hotfoot mini game (got all other mini game hearts....i think) so tried that, bloody hell that took me AGES. Considering I barely managed the 75second one with 3 seconds left this was tough. I was getting no where near the finish in 65seconds. Was only when I had a "duh" moment and picked a different route that I started getting close and eventually won with 4.5seconds left

As I said previously first 2 eps weren't great, didn't like how the season seemed to be going but since ep 3 and especially since the end of ep 4 the season has really picked. Just seen the newest ep, ep 9 and all the plans seem to be coming together, really enjoying season 3 now.

Found Sages 2 and 3 last night and now own and upgraded all weapon items, and never saw the Game Over screen once so never experienced losing rented items

hhhmmm... yeah... if thatis the case not sure how I feel, on the one hand WOOT I'll get 10 passes whenever I go to the city... on the other, yeah I would feel "what if I'm missing on genuine passes" Though as I said all the ones that did have puzzle pieces for me seemed to have all roughly the same pieces, if it was 7 random people from random places in the UK surely there'd be more differences in what pieces they had. Ah, we'll see what happens next time I'm in the city.

Decided to do the Ice Ruins first, what a dungeon that was. Loved it. great puzzles throughout. A few headscratchers too. And the boss was tough as nails... made me use all 3 fairy bottles, was sweating it. and here me thinkig all my exploring getin me up to 9 hearts and upgraded weapon before just my 3rd dungeon would see me overpowered... glad to see i was wrong. nice increase in difficulty had me worried for a bit

What!!!!! You mean you only need to do 3 trades to get it? I did all the trades for all the items before I went back for it
