Just found out a cousin of mine bought an XL with Mario 3D Land for his daughter...... Usually my family will ask me about these things before they buy them, I facepalmed when he told me thinking he could have got a different game and got Mario for free

It is amazing how they accounted for the freedom they give the player and change things depending how you play, they might be little things here and there but it's those little touches that really show the work they put into it and does give the player a good sense of cause and effect of their actions. Ah, could you not find the Wii U version at a good deal (you do have a Wii U yeah or am I imagining that?) I think you would have loved the GamePad use. It's sounds like or minor things but it really does add to the immersion I thought, especially the touch screen hacking and even reading eBooks on the GP, felt like my hands were Jensens Though if you have a Vita (which I think maybe you do???) I think the PS3 version lets you use the Vita for the same features the GamePad gives so if you do have one try using it (though I think you still play with teh PS3 controller and maybe have the Vita sitting next to you and pick up as needed.... the gamepad of course is handy having it all in one, but I could be wrong maybe you can use the Vita to control teh game too? Let us know when you get it) Lol, yeah go for a Stealth run again, you'll prolly find it easier too given you'll know where things/guards are now. Do you know where abouts the DLC take places during the game? Looking forward to hearing how you get on with that No New Game+? Well sucks, good think you got the the DC then so. And wow didn't know the original only recharged the one energy bar, I thought 2 was harsh when I played on Normal.... and was in shock when I played Hard and found only 1 recharged haha.

Any running, when you have those usual "steps" or platforms before the Goal pole you can stop at the top on stand to the left, take a little run and a quick crouch and jump just before the edge. Small little tip, if you want the Gold Flag you need to make the jump right at the edge, too soon and you'll land just below the top
-
The same way it's always worked, take a run, press the crouch button (ZR) and the a Jump button quickly after.

Only just spotted this vid... damn that's awesome. So yeah it's 2014 now..... does this mean we are getting close to actually getting our Hoverboards next year as promised by BttF?

Cheers guys @Charile, don't think I've lost much round the face, prolly minimal.... I'll try remember this in the next 4 months and take a picture shaved that time haha. Also, damned for new pages, hope nobody minds if I repost my pic

How much do 3D Printers cost so? haha

TBH, I have no idea, haha, one day he was still a baby, then blink and he's suddenly running round on his and talking...like were the frak is the time gone! What same same, as in "Zoey Saoirse" or just "Zoey"? Yeah so glad we didn't have twins haha, I was recently told I was lucky to not have had twins at one point, since my father is a twin I should be more likely to have twins. Can't imagine having two newborns at once, fair play to you dude Actually have a cousin who just found out she's having twins, they already have one child and were obvs not expecting to have twins...when she found out she was like "are you sure?" asking the nurse

Here's a little before and after comparision I just did. Took the first pic end of August before I started getting back into some exercising and the 2nd pic today. Obvs ignore the massive lighting difference caused by difference between a sunny summer day and a gloomy winter My original idea was I was gonna take a pic daily or weekly and maybe make it into a video (if there was good improvement) but after I took the "before" pic I totally forgot and never followed through, was just cleaning up my camera's SD card and found the first pic so thought why not take a pic today to compare. (My beard grew too between shots ) I think there's a decent amount of improvement Belly is a lot smaller and can see a bit of the upper ab defining. Think Chest and shoulders are improved too. I feel like my arms are better though I don't think it's showing much in this pic, but I have been told by some friends recently that they think my forearms are improved and a bit toned. Not a massive improvement, prolly could have done better over the time period but don't want to get too caught up in it or be changing too much (mainly diet). Not changed anything in my diet really, only change is 5 or 6 days a week I eat fruit for lunch (just one bannana or 2 oranges with a protein shake), still allow myself a burger for lunch on the once or twice a week I am in the city Exercise is just at home, don't have time (or money haha) for a Gym and just doing 20-35mins of a workout 4 days a week. So I could be doing more but I'm happy to take it slow and happy with just reducing that belly haha. Now lets see if I can get it down that bit more over the next few months Not actually lost weight either, for whatever weight in fat I've lost off the belly must have come back on in muscle, was 70kg in Aug and still 70kg today

Yeah if you tranq someone and they fall to an electrified surface or the floor they are left on is later electrified or other deadly stuff happens you will be judged to have caused a kill and not get the Pacifist award

That's an amazing price for the boxset (*cough*even if it not the tin boxset I have*cough*) anyone who hasn't got it yet and is interested should be all over that offer. Actually just remembered....@welsh_gamer Dude did you ever watch your boxset yet or are you still saving it for "later"?
-
Lol, awesome, I must try that on a future play through... I guess you're not going Stealth then haha, how you finding the game so far?
-
I remember vaguely seeing that too. I read before that there were some scenes that were cut from final film that made it into trailers and/or TV spots. I also think I read somewhere that there is a screen of the scene you described (Black Ranger with Axe) on the back of the VHS boxart.... and maybe the DVD too?

Cheers everyone Spent almost all day at the hospital today. Mommy and baby staying in at least one more night to be sure all is well, nothing to worry bout, normal procedure. When we had our first she was out within 2 days so hopefully it's more of the same and they'll be coming home tomorrow. Hurray for going back to sleepless night and nappy changing...... wait.....:shakehead... lol Question would it be cool for the first song I have playing in the car when I bring home Zoey to be Iron Maidens "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" : peace: Of course Baby Zoey Saoirse Me with both son and daughter Mommy with the two kids Brother and Sister "Seer-sha" would be the more common pronounciation and how I say it. But I'm sure in some regions of the country "Sur-sha" is used too, just regional dialects/accent difference. Lol, well she's not named after her anyway. Originally I thought we were gonna call her "Kara Saoirse", Kara coming from "Kara "Starbuck" Thrace" from the re-imagined Balltestar Galactica as that was the girls name we came up with before we found out our first child was gonna be a boy. I thought we were gonna keep it when we found out we were having a girl this time but Joy wanted to change to Zoey, I "pretended" to be unhappy for a bit then "agreed", even though I was fine with it cause it reminded of the character of "Zoe" from the BSG prequel "Caprica".... even though Joy wanted to spell it with a Y, in my head she is still named after Zoe from Caprica. (Same way Joy picked "Lloyd" ...which I think I kinda tricked her into thinking it was her idea haha.... but I loved it cause of Lloyd Irving from Tales of Symphonia, ) OH HELL NO haha, was the best "witty" title I could think of in my sleep deprived state this morning. I'm serious bout that vasectomy comment haha, though I don't think there's any clincs in my county that do it so gonna figure out where to go and how much to save haha.
-
Last night just before 11pm my wife Joy gave birth to our second child (and hopefully last.... might look into a vasectomy now, haha) and first daughter. Zoey Saoirse for those of you now thinking how the hell do you pronounce that 2nd name? Saoirse like the actress Saoirse Ronan from Hanna and The Lovely Bones, hopefully that helps ya .... Saoirse is Irish for "Freedom", so yeah that part of her name was of course my idea  So yeah, both Mommy and baby still in hospital, gonna go in and visit in a minute and bring Oisín to see his baby sister for first time... should go well, he seems excited to see the new baby.

The first day of 2014 isnt even over and already my childhood has seen a casulty.... the year is ruined RIP James Avery
-
are you playing on Wii U yeah? When you look down sights on tranq rifle look at the gamepad screen
-
if u play with a wiimoteor pro controller you can turn off the gamepad screen in controller settings > display settings when you press Home button. touching any button on gamepad will turn screen back on making it useless if playing with gamepad

Nice @Shorty don't forget to share your NNID when you've set it up

Fair assesment, never thought of it like that. I guess my opinion is still coloured by how I thought it was a 3DS game when it was first shown and the name Seriously "3D" should never be in a title unless it is a 3DS game or some sort of 90's nostaligia tribute game I still think though the Captian Toad levels look like there were made to "pop" from the 3DS screen...actually had a few other similar thoughts on a few normal levels too haha. But hey the game is on Wii U, I'm playing it and enjoying it Not had a chance yet to play more since yesterday though... hopefully later before the whole New Years Eve countdown thing starts. Oh by the way...this "Champions Road" I keep seeing mentioned.... where is that? Is that like teh very last unlockable level then?

I purposefully took my time with the final season of BSG so I could watch the final ep today and close out 2013 with the final ep "Daybreak" ... the extended cut on teh Bluray boxset of course, 2.5 hours of epicness..... Think it's a good way to close the year what with the whole "All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again" theme throughout the show. EDIT And FINISHED Why does it have to end A great journey still even after so many rewatches, still get chills and teary at all the epic and sad and emotional moments throughout the show even though I know whats coming. All of this has happened before All of this will happen again........ prolly in bout 11 months when I feel like another rewatch

Oh for fraks sake... So my son and nephew wanted to play so I let them, i started up my sons "file 3" and left them to play thought that would be fine. went to get a cup of tea had a chat with my sister who visitin for new years when kids finished playing for bedtime I turned off WiiU. Just decided to have a go at a few levels in bed on the gamepad and noticed my "file 1" which had over 40 lives on it now only has 5 left.... well thats fracking great kids must have quit out of their game and restarted on my file at some point... hope they didnt use the invincibilty leaf and cost me my glitter stars bit annoyed now. no longer feel like playing will wait till tomorrow

They could have controlled the camera in other ways. The ol Captain doesnt need action buttons only movement. so move with dpad camera with circlepad... or camera with xyab... or l and r to rotate horizontal and y and b to rotate verticle. Of course unless Nintendo one day come out and say the game was originally planned for 3DS I'm of course just speculating but looking past the name, the obvious similar level style which I guess could just be that they liked what they did in 3D Land and wanted to do it on WiiU and the name could just be them being lazy but the Captain Toad levels do have a look about them that they were made to pop from the 3DS screen. Either way I do adore the ol Captains levels lovely bit of puzzle solving and a nice break from the normal levels to add a bit of variety again just wish there was more than one a world
