OK so the greatest month in football is once again come and gone and with it so is our World Cup board. A moment of silence please to mourn its passing ........ .................. ............................ Ok thanks for that, Ok as you can see a small part of the World Cup has been saved, i have moved this thread here to general chit chat aswell as the "Sweepstakes" thread, the "England team" thread and the "World Cup Dream team" thread I still haven't filled the grave of the World Cup board yet, so if there are any other threads you want brought back PM me, if there's enough demand it will be saved, if not the grave will be filled this weekend. But don't worry like the Phoenix rises from its own ashes so too will the World Cup thread, but it will take 2 years and it will have metamorphed(sp?) in a Euro 2008 thread :p

I love that film SO MUCH...although i did realise that in the first film it does create a massive paradox... At the end when Marty plays "Jonnhy B Goode" at the dance, the guitar player he is filling in for calls his cousin "Marvin Berry(sp?)" to let him here the new song, but if Marty learned the song from listening to the Marvin Berry song in 1985 but Marvin learned it listening to Marty play it in 1955 then WHO WROTE THE SONG.........?????????????? my head hurts I think the best way around this is the theory that if you went back in time and changed the past you'd also create an alternate/parralel(sp?) universe. Good examples of this are in Dragonball Z when Trunks first goes back in time, then returns to the future to find it hasn't been changed but when he goes back to the past he sees it is happening different to "his" history, he not only traveled between times but also between universes. Or even in the Zelda games, how Links time travel adventures in Ocarina of Time created the alternate reality that Wind Waker takes place in

Just for info's sake. That "game" should be refered to as Resident Evil 3.5, much like the "orginal" RE2 has been known as Resident Evil 1.5 since it was changed/canned Hell i somehow got the feeling a while ago that what Capcom are showing off as RE5 on the PS3 and 360 just might fall into a black hole and become Resident Evil 4.5

If i'm hungry enough i will cook my own meals, i can work wonders with little bits and pieces if i really need to...really its all in the sauce

I don't get all the hype over Zidane here, yes i agree he is a great player but this world cup i feel he's been far from his best and IMO on their performances in the group stages they were lucky to get out of it. I'm gonna put my support on Italy for this one, dispite the fact it will mean my Italian mate won't be shutting up for four years

What do you think about WII? Share your thoughts here!
Mokong replied to fatboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
yeah guys, how did this thread last two hours? Sorry new guy, but next time you want to create a thread please put a bit more thought into the topic, and if its about a game PLEASE make sure there isn't a thread on it already. [LOCKED] -
Haha, i just thinking about this today, weird or what. Though you forgot to explain that it was "if these companies made condoms, the'd already have the perdfect slogans"....just for the few people who didn't know what it was about

Didn't you tell me you were dating Gemma from Neo magazine? Does your opinion on this not bother her? (i'm just guessing being a writer for a mag on asian cinema she'd be pretty p'ed you'd pick american Ring over Japanese Ring. Anyway, i love the orginal, the direction and acting where far superior, the suspense and tension built up to unbarable levels (which is great for the horror genre), you see very little of Sadako in the film, where as in the remake you see too much of Sarah or whatever her name was that the mystery is gone, also the "video" was much better in the orginal than the remake. Ringu 2 and Ring 0:Birthday are also great to watch (though 0 is more of a drama but there are still some tense jumpy scary moments). I watched all three in a row once, till 2am, in an empty house...needless to say i was unable to walk upstairs to my room with the lights off that night. I think Ringu 2 has some of the best scary moments such as "the mirror scene" and "that part near the end when she shouldn't look back":shakehead

I don't think so, it might produce an exact copy of the picture, but it wouldn't have the personal touch to it. I know shops here that do that...the prints don't last very long and they charge about 25-50euro:heh: Plus when using that can you enlarge the orginal picture (without losing detail)? The pictures i provided took up about 3/4 of an A4 page, these guys take that, draw an outline on the shirt by hand, copying as best they can, then airbrush the paint on in layers, you can actually feel a slight weight difference in them, not much but you know its there and it doesn't make it uncomfortable or anything so its great. Ash and Platty: I don't know about you guys but I love being able to "show-off" my interests, even if they aren't "mainstream", i like to be different and when you think about it i could quite possibly be the only person in the world with these t-shirts: peace:

very well actually, the store recomends it be by hand, but i only do this for about the 1st five washes, then they seem fine in the machine, those pictures of the "older" ones were taken when they were quite "new" but they still look the same now, 2 - 3 years later, and they've been through the washing machine at least 3 times a month each. Just gotta be careful when ironing, make sure you do it with the shirt "inside-out", else you'd be in trouble My cousin got 2 new ones also, but i forgot to take pictures of them, i think i'm gonna visit him the weekend so if i do, i'll remember to get some pics of his, his new ones are Superman (with an awesome silver "S" logo on the front) and Collosus from X-men, he's got older ones of Wolverine and Goku from DBZ and a different Ocarina of Time Link to mine, actually the Spidey and Scorpion ones above are his but i've "borrowed" them for since about a year ago

So a cousin of mine has just come back from the Philippines, the last few years when i go (or a cousin goes) i get some t-shirts made up, they know a get shop in Manila that will make t-shirts not just of the pictures they have in stor but also will try to make t-shirts from pictures you bring in (kinda like tattooists for t-shirts, haha). I've posted some of these before but its been about 2 years i think since, so aswell as showing my 2 new ones i'll post again the older ones for those who haven't seen them. Here's the first new one, you might recognise the picture, i should point out that all these designs were done by hand with airbrushes, for that quality of work by hand who knows how much you'd pay for it over here, but these cost me the equivalent of about 12-18euro:grin: here's the front of that t-shirt, the logo was actually just printed by computer, but its the first time they would actually put the logo on the front so..guess the computer must be new, they've put stuff on the front before but not the actual logo i gave them just the "words" here's the second new one, Fullmetal Alchemist FTW:bouncy: and the front here's the older ones just in case you don't remember/didn't see them, this first one usually catches the attention of random Nintendo fans when i'm out walking in the city wearing it... and could you blame them (i did have other Resi characters i wanted (leon and wesker) but the pictures i gave them weren't "detailed/clear" enough for them to use)

Cheers Bard, the only reason i choose that song is cuz i wanted the video to end...well where it did...plus i think i timed it quite good for the slow part of the song and the Vegeta-Trunks moment :p Never heard of Metalingus, what kind of music they play, recomend a song for me to look up so's i can have a listen. Here's some vids i just added to youtube over the last few days, i didn't make them, it's just videos i took while on holiday in the philippines and two of my fav philippine bands happened to be playing in the nearby city one night after the other in the same venue, i was well chuffed i was allowed use the camera (well actually my girlfreind used it, i hit the mosh pit). The first band is Greyhoundz, this is part 1 of 2, if you like you can find the 2nd part in my youtube profile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4ujz2ACP5k (in the 2nd part, my girlfriend was actually allowed to use the camera while standing on the side of the stage, so you should be able to spot me in the front hanging onto the barrier...if you notice a guy looking right at the camera, it's prolly me) And here's one of my fav bands ever Slapshock (honestly i have no idea how they haven't broken the international rock market yet, they've just released their 5th album which i'm listening too right now), this is part 1 of 5, again if you like the other parts can be found in my youtube profile http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVQqml5diZo again if you notice a guy looking right at the camera, it's prolly me : peace:

Dragonforce are fracking brilliant, some of the best guitar riffs/solos i've heard in ages all really energetic powerful stuff that just makes you wanna mosh in room like your at a gig. I hope to see them live one day, they came to ireland once but i was unable to go (damn you empty bank account). I've been tempted a few times to put a video of myself playing air guitar to Through the Fire and the Flames on youtube...but have so far resisted EDIT: well there is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPK3y5M7XMc but i was just messing with my new phone and wanted to see how a video from it looked on youtube and i happened to be playing that CD

I think it was prolly more likely the DS Lite buttons (and the Lite itself) were designed around the Wii buttons and console so that when the Wii is released it and the Lite match up.

yeah but then it's a bitch when he gets rebuilt...why the hell couldn't they do that with Prime and Ironhide? Also just thinking the makers of the animated film had some balls to "kill" prime didn't they, i mean talk about doing the unexpected No i got the orginal dvd release, but yeah i'm definatly got the re-release on my "to get" list

I wouldn't mind joining in for the Mario Kart and Metriod Prime Hunters compo

That would be cool but since that show isn't shown on TV anymore they have nothing to set the backstory, lets not forget they are trying to make money and limiting the audiance to fans of the orginal show only wouldn't make them much, so the "general cinema goer" wouldn't have a clue what is going on unless they knew the series. Thats why they need to start from scratch. well who knows, maybe me an Platty are right and that thing on the site isn't Primes eye but Unicron. I mean its looks far too menecing(sp?) to be Prime IMO, it couldn't be Megatron/Galvatron cuz if for sure if they were gonna put one character on the 1st promos it would be Prime and again it looks a bit too "evil" to be prime, just the vibe i get from it looking over the Earth like it is. So if they don't use one of the "leaders" whos the next best choice? Its can't be a subbordinet(sp?) so the next choice would be Unicron Oh the memories...actually you know what, i'm gonna watch my dvd in a few mins now:bouncy: Also have they annoouced the voice cast yet? It would be great if they could get the same voices as the orginal cartoon, plus Lenord Nimoy(sp?) to voice Megatron/Galvatron like he did for the animated movie

Ok those who've known me since the early days of Cube-Europe, will know that i am a complete nutter of a made fan of Resident Evil, it's storyline and characters are something i know inside out and outside in. However i have to say that i did enjoy the first 2 films, for the simple reason that i consider them to take place in a different universe to the games, well mostly the second, i can place the first one into the the timeline of the games about 3-6months before REzero with no problems. But from the sounds of where this 3rd film is going it just sounds like Resi meets Mad Max, and i don't like the idea it taking place for long after the 2nd film what the hell happened between 2 and 3? He can't say the games took place because of what he did with the 2nd film forces it into a different universe from the games. It was a nice "idea" to do the trilogy like that 1st set before the games, 2nd within the game and 3rd after. But that only works if the games are to have a definte ending and i think we can all agree that Capcom would never consider "ending" the RE series, which means sooner or later there will be a game made set in the same time frame as this 3rd film and i really don't see a Resi game working in that kind of setting Ok first it's set long after the 2nd now its "where it left off", which is it? And even though the T-virus could be capable of doing such a thing to the world, i don't think it would work that fast. Also the total lack of other viruses is just plain wrong. Ok so what the hell happened to Jill? And who is Ali Larter? Was she in anything before?
-
That actually makes me think more "Unicron" than "Prime" now how deadly would that be:bouncy: For a teaser trailer i thought it was good, just one thing though, the date at the end: 7.4.7 (i think that was it) Is that US or European dating? IE: does that me the 7th of April 2007 or July 4th 2007? Also it would be so cool if the used "The Touch" song from the cartoons Movie *strokes dvd*, that would send a cinema full of Transformers fans (of the orginal show and obviously the movie) into a frenzy of cheering and stained pants "Now light are darkest hour"
-
That would be cool if he said that...but in the trailer the reflection is actually of the old red/blue one...but i guess they could be just doing that for the trailer for dramatic effect or something
-
No offence but i'm just guessing you didn't read the comics or see the cartoon? and on the "new" (*cough*pisspoor*cough*) Goblin suit, its his street clothes plus some gloves and a dodgey face mask? I'm hoping its just from the start of the film when Harry is first trying out the glider then soon after dons the proper goblin suit, if he doesn't then he's not really carrying on the legacy of the Green Goblin like he should be. EDIT Ok just watched the high-res trailer on apple.com, I think the part where they show Eddie (and he says Parker) and a few frames later you see BlackSpiderman and looks like Peter is trying to Rip the suit off him. I think this could be scenes from towards the end of the film when Peter realises the symibote is "evil" and tries to get it off of him, the look of the building he's in seems to be like a bell tower (which is where Spiderman got rid of the symbiote in the cartoon...maybe the comic also...memory a bit fuzzy, but definatly the setting of the cartoon). When you see Eddie say "Parker?" that must be just after Peter gets the symbiote off him and Eddie see him and later after Peter leaves Eddie finds the symbiote (or it finds him). Also considering this is the first film to feature Eddie does anyone think they got a fair bit of character and story to build in this one film for Eddie in order to properly portray how much destain and hate he has for Peter? EDIT2 Yeah just watched it again, and the place i "thought" was a bell tower, is definatly a bell tower...well you can see a bell (and it looks like its ringing) in a couple of scenes. Also i hope they don't change the origin of the symbiote for the film, but seeing as they got Sandman i doubt having the black slime come from space would be much of a problem

Just watched the trailer on youtube, not sure about the black-suit, not as slick as the comic book one, also it only just hit me, if Gwen is in this and from that trailer it looks like they gonna make her a romantic interest of Peter...WHAT the HELL happened to his relationship with Mary-Jane? Dumb fool, i thought she was the girl he liked before he even liked girls (so says the intro to the first film anyway). Plus i think its kinda late to introduce Gwen, technically they should have had her first, killed her off then brought in MJ. And looking at that trailer, the short clip of Topher Grace, i'm still not buying him as Eddie Brock, i thought he had put on loads of muscle for the role, but from that it didn't look like much and i still don't think he's the right person for the role, i'm not convinced he can pull off the attiude required for Eddie. As for Venom, yeah i expect for by the end of the film Spiderman to "reject" the symbiote and to see it find Eddie and a quick clip of Vemon then end, Ending the Green Goblin trilogy and begining the "Venom/Symbiote" Trilogy, and yes i do expect Carnage to appear by the 5th or 6th film. Then for the 3rd (and final) trilogy they could do the "clone saga" from the comics, and fans of the comics know who the true mastermind behind that was i'm sure, which if they did in the film it would perfectly round off the triple trilogy 1st: No, not Hobgoblin, Harry is meant to be the 2nd Green Goblin, taking over from his father 2nd: Is that a real shot of Harry? If so then holy crap, that is bollocks, he's meant to be in the Green Goblin suit, looking like that how are people gonna think the Green Goblin has returned? I mean at the end of part 2, when he found the Goblin equipment he also found the mask so i'm assuming there was full suit there also. And how's he gonna pull off the split personality without the aid of a proper Green Goblin suit? Ok Defoe did it in that great mirror scene in part 1, but this guy (forgot the actors name) is no Defoe
