I just got back from watching the new film (loved it), behind some people were disscussing the last book before the film started. Of course they mentioned the "Harry Dies" possibility.... I actually have a feeling we may see Herminoy(sp?) or Ron bite the bullet. but one guy thought up what i thought was a massive idea.....at the end of the book, Harry wakes up Under the Stairs, it was all a fantastic dream. In the films they could use the theme song from Dallas, haha.

I've been away for the weekend, i just saw the rumor and thought i was dreaming. And if my dream comes true i would love to see a direct sequel and see them come up with a story to expand on what the characters did after the events of teh first game

Yeah really annoying on the first play when you got the standard power weapons. If have only a few ganados knee cap them and try to time it so they fall on top of each other then run over them and swing like mad with the knife. (a little sadictic yes, but you gotta conserve that ammo for bigger tasks after all... actually in a game that allows you to do that, i'm surprised the BBFC only gave it a 15 age rating?) i just remembered but didn't they say something about RE4:Wii having a trailer or something for Umbrella Chronicals? Or was that just Japan? Or maybe some strange dream i had?
-
ah that new trailer was wicked, really getting hyped for this game

Gah, at this rate i have a feeling they will bring in the Stars to Wii Points exchange the day after everyones horded stars since GC launch have expired thanks to their new terms and conditions. ANd if that happens there will be HELL TO PAY
-
Finished the main game, played the first 2 parts to Separte Ways, and i'm actually getting really pissed off that they left this stuff out of the GC original, see how Ada effect some of the moments for Leon and such, why the hell was it not put into the GC game, sure the PS2 may have had to wait 7 months for the game and had the graphics reduce but in terms of story, we got screwed. How much more effort would it have taken? They had all the level models and character models, it's not like anything was made just for Seperate Ways (unless some stuff in the later levels was that i haven't played yet) Well i guess we know have the ultimate version with spot on control mechanics and all the story

just had a good session, got past those Regenerators *shudder* fairly well, and i completely forgot about "It", but got past him alright (had a lot of magnum ammo saved and Killer7 fullpower). Just up to the Krauser fight but i'm tired and hungry so will save that for tomorrows session
-
I saved last night just before the part when you first meet the Regenerators, damnit they still freak me out, with the messed up creepy breathing and such, and crap i only have 2 bullets left in my rifle....crap here i go

They were actually talking about Manhunt 2 on the local radio here in Waterford today, i think it might have been cuz of this article (not sure if the mentioned N-E though) cuz i copped the main speaker was someone in the article (one of the people against games), she was going on and on about the effects of violent games on kids, i really wanted to call up and give a big lecture on age ratings and parents responsibilty and such but i was at work, damnit (not like it would of made much difference if i wasn't at work, cuz if i was off i wouldn't have been listening to the radio anyway)

Wicked, Mark texted me at 4 but didn't look at my phone till i was leaving work, legged it to the nearest shop to buy the paper.... been a long time since i bought a news paper
-
haha, sorry, missread the post i guess Oh man the elevator bit, unless i have a rocket launcher i hate that bit (but in a good way) And the Regenerators, damn i forgot about them, they scared the living frack out of me

That's a good Hero : peace: And yeah i just realized, Mercenaries is gonna PWN with the Wiimote, can't wait for that. Actually you don't turn around in this like you do in Red Steel, when you're aiming the gun you can aim anywhere on screen (duh), but to turn, look up, look down you use the analogue stick on the nunchuck. To turn around when your not aiming the gun press C and down on teh nunchuck (or is it Z, i can't remember i just do it out of instinct)

I just had a good long session with this when I got home from work, up to the bit after your controlling Ashley in the Castle. I can't believe there are people using the GC pad, the Wii controls are excellent and really make you feel more in control. Aiming is so much better and faster, when i played the merchants target range i couldn't believe how much better the controls were, i was able to hit the targets loads faster and with much better accuracy than i could have dreamed of back on the GC. The one thing that throws me off is when using the sniper rifle the aiming is controlled by the analgoue stick and not the pointer which has caught me out a few times. And i can't believe I'm still forgetting to conserve ammo, i used aload up at one point when i thought there was a lot of ganados, then the next room had loads more and i was screwed. And the part in the garden with the dogs still freaks me out. There was one time a dog jumped in front of me, i killed him and i could hear another one growling, but not running and thanks to my surround sound i knew he was standing to my right. But he wasn't attacking, so i was scared to turn around in case the sound was messing with me and he might pop out from behind the corner that i'm already looking at. Finally i decided, feck it i'm gonna look. I turned right, saw him and blasted him right away. Now if that happened on the GC, i would have needed an extra second to adjust my aim and prolly end up with the dog chewing my face. With the Wii controls i was able to aim and shoot as soon as i saw him.

I been playing the game for awhile, the aiming works well, i can see a real difference in my hit ratios at the end of each chapter to when i played the GC version, i think my best on teh GC was like 75%, my worst so far on the Wii up to after the Del Lago boss is 86% and that was the first part getting used to the controls. I love the motion control for the context sensitive scenes, the bit after the Del Lago boss i was actually swinging the controller at my leg like i was trying to cut the rope, brilliant. Also I almost forgot how scarce ammo can be and that you have to upgrade your weapons, i was wondering at the start how come it was taking so many hits to kill people (too used to replaying the GC game with max power weapons), ended in a few situations really low on ammo, but still managed to get through, thanks to my lovely knife swinging. Though it would have been nice if they could have added more swing animations and get Leon to mimic your actual swing would be cool if you could stab too, haha. Oh yeah just wanted to ask, what age rating was the GC game in Britian? My GC game only has a PEGI rating, no BBFC or IFCO symbol, and it is rated PEFI 18+, so I assumed the BBFC and IFCO would have done the same, but the Wii version i noticed the BBFC only rated it 15? Oh and one last thing, did Nintendo publish the game? There's a star points card thingy in it, isn't that only for games Nintendo publish themsleves... i don't remember getting stars for the GC version?

It's like reading a bible:bowdown:

Haha, in the excitement thinking about RE4:Wii i went looking through the N-E archives and found a Preview I wrote for RE4 for the GC in Feb 2004, just after it was revealed how the game was changed after the RE3.5 ideas were canned, and i forgot that at the end of the review i go into some ideas of what might happen in the game and how Umbrella might still be involved (you might remember the whole "no Umbrella" thing was a massive shock to RE fans at the time... still is actually, in fact even though I think RE4 is a great "game", I actually don't class it as a "main story" RE game.), some of my "theories" sounded plausible, but none of them actually happened. http://www.n-europe.com/preview.php?prid=137&page=3

WWE Superstar Chris Benoit and family found dead
Mokong replied to Jimmy3000's topic in General Chit Chat
I'm finding it very unlikely now to think maybe drugs made him go mad, if he bound his wifes limbs first this shows planning and reason rather than a sudden flash of riod rage. One of the first things i thought of when i first heard was that he'll likely be inducted into next years Hall of Fame, but now after finding out that he himself was the cause I don't think the WWE would even entertain the notion of it, which is a massive shame as he was well on his way to that. But after what he done i would think the WWE are right to apologies for giving him a tribute show and not want to mention the situation in shows again. -
Exactly, and if there are people out there who are "on the edge" banning this one game will not stop them from "losing it", if they are indeed on the edge of a killing spree even something like the weather could trigger them, never mind a video game.

I had an original Megazord years ago... i wonder what the hell happened to it? The original series was of course the best, once it started going into one off shows it just hasn't been the same, though i did watch a few Dino Thunder eps when i found out Tommy was back in it
-
Oh dear god, whatever bad things i said about all those new Transformers series that have come out in recent years i take it all back. This has got to be the worst and most ridiculous re-invision of the show ever. The look just isn't right, they look more like people wearing costumes. And no Descpiticons.... WTF? What is the point?

WWE Superstar Chris Benoit and family found dead
Mokong replied to Jimmy3000's topic in General Chit Chat
Damnit, i'm so conflicted right now, on one side i'm upset and sadded at the loss of Chris Benoit, he wasn't one of my favourite "characters" (refering to his acting skills) in the WWE but he was one of the best "in-ring" performers ever and always produced a great match. But all this about him having killed his wife and son, I can't believe it, maybe it just hasn't fully sunk in for me yet. Just read an article where the police seem o be suggesting that steroids could have played a factor, maybe he OD'd and when a bit crazy, which might explain why he would kill his Wife and son over the weekend and wait till Monday to hang himself, maybe it took him that long to "recover" from the steroids and realise what had happened. Then unable to face what he had done he hung himself -
I went into a long ranting vlog on my Youtube earlier. (it's 20mins long.... the non cut version was nearly 60mins )

WWE Superstar Chris Benoit and family found dead
Mokong replied to Jimmy3000's topic in General Chit Chat
I don't believe this, i only just went to WWE.com because i remembered i forgot to check the results of Judgement Day PPV, when i saw Benoit on the front page i though, cool he must have won the ECW title at the PPV, then i read the headline, and just went into shock. It's unbeleivable, and his wife and son too, what the hell happened? And with that whole "Did Vince die" story they were doing this is just very disturbing, it's like they went and tempted fate and fate has a cruel side to it. I'm in shock, i still haven't fully come to terms with Eddies death and now Chris? -
Oh dear god i can't stand these "family" groups against violent video games, why can't they except that gaming is a viable form of entertainment just like film and as such developers have as much right to develop games aimed at an adult audience as much as movie studios have a right to make films aimed at adult audiences. I don't see them up in a fuss when a violent film gets released. If they'd just actually do their parental duty and monitor and control the games their kids play instead of wanting companies to only make family oriented games we'd be much better off.

Why do you have two Zelda: Ocarina of Time's? And i noticed two Starfox 64's also, one with the rumble pak bottom left and one without bottom right, why buy it twice?
