Nice one.... though odd they didn't bother to send out a message to let us know. Clock is nice, and the update to the weather and news channels. Oh and HURRAY, a sent items list for messages sent to other Wii's (only problem is you can't "open" them in case you forgot what you said)

I only had RE4 and Dragonball Z with me, RE4 as i said previous did an update (what it changed though i never figured out) I remember another cousin tell me Mario Strikers performed an update when he first played it on his, but he has since gone online anyway so would have total upto date firmware

Suppose that's a good logical reason...that or maybe they forgot about it but remembered in time for the first update release. I told my cousin to bring his Wii down to me next time he comes down if he hasn't sorted out his net connetion with his Wii. He actually doesn't have the net, but uses the Vodafone modem, which is this little device that connects to his laptop but USB, and works off the mobile phone networks, so can't connect a wifi router with it, he could get the Nintendo Dongle, but i tried using his laptop and even though they say the vodafone thing is broadband it was damned slow, i'd hate to think how slow the Wii would be using it

Ok here's a weird question, but can you only copy game saves from your Wii memory to an SD card AFTER it has been connected to the internet and received updates from there? Reason i'm asking is I went to a cousins house for the weekend, and thought i'd bring some of my Wii games to show off to him, and i copied my game saves over to an SD card so I could also play some games on from where i left off and show off some unlocked features, like on RE4. So get to his house put in my SD card and go to the memory to copy over my data to his Wii, and there was NO option to do so? Not even an SD card tab? Even when i select one of his game saves it doesn't give me the option to copy his game saves to an SD card, only an "erase" option. The only thing that i could figure out was maybe it ability to use an SD card for games saves comes in one of the updates you get when you first go online, because my cousin doesn't have a wifi router this was the only thing i could think of. But then why would Nintendo make it like this? the only reason i can think of is since game saves don't take up that much memory, the ability to copy data to SD cards only comes active when you go online, (ie: for when you download off the VC) But then even this seems a bit odd that they wouldn't let people copy and move game saves unless they went online. (note: When i put RE4 into his Wii, it did perform some sort of update, but i don't know what exactly?)

Wow, look at the distance between Wii and everything else...wonder would the same happen if they did a poll on the RE series?

I wouldn't go as far as calling TP a dissappointment either, just didn't have a spectacular ending that we were hoping for. SFA however, i found a massive dissappointment, visuals were the only good thing, puzzels were monotonous and not challenging and pretty much all of them were, collect X amount of this item. Fight also, pretty to watch for a viewer maybe, but for the playing zero dept with no thought process needed

Starfox Adventures.... why, why did they have to associate Starfox with this (IMO) ugly (gameplay wise, not visually) game. It's like they knew it wouldn't be a great game so they toss in a well loved character to help up launch day sales. You'd think they would have learned their lesson to not let Starfox outside of Nintendo dev teams.... but hey you'd expect Namco to do a good job afterall.... hopefully if/when they make a Starfox Wii it's not a 3rd strike and he's out

People did also think the same of RE4 and the GameCube

Never seen it, not a big Tom Cruise fan, and didn't like the idea of him being "The Last Samurai"

I could never manage that on the GC version, YES, feel the power of the Wiimote you ganado freaks. Anyway, so yeah i unlocked the handcannon but when i went back to my main game and found the merchant the handcannon wasn't there... does it only come in when a new game is started? Save at the end of the game, so the save file says "New Round", when you want to start a new game don't go to "New Game", load up the "New Round" file

Yeah, but then again wouldn't be that hard to think of that after seeing the trailer. I'm actually starting to wonder if maybe it's a hollywood remake of the excellent korean film "The Host" (Korean name "Gwoemul"), i'm sure hollywood would be looking to "westernise" that film, and i just thought this might be it when i saw the DVD looking up at me. And if i'm right i'll actually not be looking forward to this mystery film much....i'm strongly against Hollywood forcing remakes onto the market instead of getting their own ideas and encouraging some diversity to peoples film viewing.

Oh yeah i forgot about that. Yeah i saw the trailer and damn it looks interesting.....even more interesting is the film has no name and there's no info on it, WTF? How did they manage that.

Just had a good session on Pro mode, still as hard as i remember on that first play through so many times i've been low on ammo and health and knowing you've got a section with lots of ganados coming is rough. And for some reason whenever i manage to save herbs and first aids i end up taking loads of hits that i really shouldn't be. Up to the fight with Salazars "right hand" next. Also had a good play on Mercenaires, I got all characters unlocked and just got 5 stars with all of them on the village level, 1 down 3 to go. I've actually found it (somewhat) easier to get the 5 star also thanks to the Wii's pointer aim, it's great

Ah for frack sake, i don't believe they'll actually taken this approach, damn it, they better make the towns and dungeons massive to make up for this. And and no rheards(sp?) then i guess, FRACK. When they first said about using the pointer to navigate the map i thought it might be like in some PC games when you use the mouse and click on the map where you want the character to go but he still actually walks there and you get to explore. crap, have they actually gone and ruined the dream?

And whats wrong with worms? They'd make a great gift, you can do lots of things with worms, like bait for fishing and erm.... scaring little kids... and erm.... did i say fishing? Conor is always here, you just don't see him *points at corner* There he's over there!
