Yeah that's why I asked. One of my ideas involved a fun set-up for a p-switch jump, but that's heading into kaizo territory. I don't want to go to deep in there myself, but I'm personally fine with P-Switch jumps. And you people already seem to have trouble with my levels as it is.. I'll definitely consider them for Speedrun routes (if you're speedrunning anyway.. Then this will come naturally). But I can't use the set-up mentioned above for that.. So I may just build a level around P-Switch jumps, and just accept it won't be for the NE community, haha.

That was a design choice. I don't have a problem with it, but that hyper mode I mentioned, let's you cancel everything apparently. Edit: Ah I remembered I think.. It's called "manifest".

Personally I love the artstyle. I think I'll love the combat as well, there seems to be plenty of customisation and variation and I've only played the demo up until the first boss. Daemons have a big enough skilltree to keep me happy regarding customisation, and you can only equip 3 or 4 skills anyway. Right before the boss you get a new one, and it plays very differently from first one. The game suggested you use the new one against he boss, and I'm not sure if that's the best way to introduce the idea of multiple daemons for different situations, as I died since I had been playing with and was used to the other one, which was also already leveled up. But it did highlight the differences between the 2, so I tried to adapt. The new deamon used a lance so had much longer range melee attacks, which came in handy as the boss had melee attacks covering a large area, and a area of effect attack that covered a massive area. The new daemon also allowed you to jump over stuff that the first daemon didn't. The first daemon had a dash instead which initially seemed more beneficial to me, but now I'm not sure. You also have the hyper mode available, and something you have to keep in mind (I forgot what they called it). I think it's deep enough to keep me entertained, especially if you have to switch daemons mid-battle later on. And like I said, I actually like the artstyle, plus I love the setting and the intrigue so far. The reincarnation cult seems a bit creepy! Yeah, I think I'll grab a copy. Square Enix (EU!) is selling physical copies in limited quantities on their own webstore.

Posters are back up on the store. Go to My Nintendo first to get a code.

How do you people feel about P-Switch jumps?

Last day for this (15 hours left as of this post). I just pledged a minimum amount just to "get in", I can't spend the 100 pounds needed for the boxed NES copy at the moment. But I hope to upgrade my tier later through Backerkit, otherwise I've been told NES copies will be available later through other means (the website that also handles the Micro Mages game I bought).

I think I saw a confirmation somewhere that it has. Anyway, apparently there's a demo out now, though the servers are down for maintenance so I can't check.

I'm always in for a disturbing horror film.

Yeah and that NES in the store just.. oh well that just worked.

N-Europe's Top 10 (Voting over, check first post for results)
Sméagol replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I haven't played them, but are they generally really considered separate games though? I'd never be interested in just one or 2 parts of the story.. -
Isn't that just the attract mode though.

Jeri Ryan doesn't age does she? looking stunning as ever!

So when were they going to tell me? Anyway, I'll order the t-shirts (before they too sell out).
-
I think they vaguely hinted at maybe something down the line, but not in the base game as far as I know. Edit: Maybe I'm just confused with this: https://kotaku.com/astral-chain-director-says-it-actually-can-be-two-playe-1835624876

I actually pre-orderde the limited edition for this one.. But I'm considering downgrading it, as I'm not sure if I actually like the artwork enough for me to want the artbook. I am really looking forward to the game though.

Played a few versus games for testing purposes. I actually stole a few wins in a row, unlocking a t-shirt. One game was actually pretty playable with 4 players, and a pretty good level for versus as well. As for the reason of testing: in hindsight I suspected my 3rd level doesn't play like intended in versus mode. I also raised a question on GameFaqs. It looks like it in fact doesn't play as intended, but it's not as problematic as I suspected.

New Switch revision announced (NOT the Switch Lite!)
Sméagol replied to Dcubed's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It literally doesn't? This is for people who want something smaller and thought the original one was too expensive anyway so don't have one to sell. It's for people who'd now still buy a 3DS instead of the current Switch. -
New Switch revision announced (NOT the Switch Lite!)

You should post that in the general thread, as they have little to do with the lite. I like the purple one. -
Most of you probably don't want to know the price. https://special.goodsmile.info/swordfish-II/en/

I'll probably ask again when the game's out but, is there typically any merit to these kind of "auxillary missions" (I'm assuming those are the noob help missions) at all? Like in the form of dialogue or story?

Inclined to go Chaos, despite also wanting to team up with Marina, especially for this last one. I'll try to play Friday. Not sure if I'll be around much on Saturday.
