It's hard for me to get anything done here currently.

Well I personally don't think it's fun to have everyone use the same set-up and look the same, and force them in set-ups they may not be familiar with, so I'd love it if you get rid of it for future races.. For now, I guess I'll stay home this night and join you guys (using the suggested set-up as far as possible). 20:00 is UK time I assume.. so in 1 hour and 20 minutes? Wasn't Glen-i the host? I have him in my friendlist. Also if I disconnect it's due to bad internet and/or wifi. I haven't set-up my old LAN adapter, I don't have a spare network cable lying around. I don't ragequit . I will do badly though.

If I were to join today, what steps do I need to take? Also, totally not a fan of the "themes".. I haven't played Mario Kart all that much, so I'm only familiar with exactly one set-up (the default one). I'm not even sure if I have unlocked all that stuff.. Edit: God motherfucker.. That took 10 minutes to post.

Like it's mentioned before, the gameplay, at least the battles, really resembles the basic gameplay of Xcom (with added Mario moves). If you want a taste of that, you can wait for the Steam sale, and pick up Xcom enemy unknown for cheap. I'm expecting Mario + Rabbids to be more forgiving than Xcom though.. Permadeath would be a bit out of place. Probably. Nah fuck it I want an Iron man mode in Mario + Rabbids.

In hindsight, I would have liked a new Nindies showcase, there's bound to be Indie games we haven't seen yet, but I guess they want to save that for one of their Directs.

I haven't read the books (but if Scifi fucks up, I will obviously), so I can't compare, but personally I love the show, and I believe others do here on the forum, I've mentioned it here before. I've heard of other people who think season 1 has too slow of a build-up, my brother thought it was good but is not nearly as much of a fan as I am for example, but I hear season 2 is even better. Edit: season 1 covers.. I think half of book 1, so if you start with the show it'll be a while before you start to see new material.

Yeah, one of the games I want from Capcom is Mega Man 11. I'm still hoping for Mega man 11, but this seems to fill the gap. Only played the opening stage with Beck. Got myself killed trying to go for that Burst combo.. Your buster or whatever it's called, seems to have plenty options for customisation though.. Even after just playing one stage, I feel this is going to be worth all the 10 euros I spent on it.

And that's what I'm worried about, that's drama on a whole different level. I don't think a show about why a girl committed suicide needs that kind of follow-up. I mean, just make a different series. Just don't have them break-out dancing at the end (sorry). On another note, I loved Anne with an 'E', though I suspect that will not be for everyone. I used to watch Road to Avonlea as a kid. The show has a certain charm, I like seeing shows and films about that period in.. Well on the American continent, as this is set in Canada actually. Anyway , I like it, and the girl playing Anne is fantastic. Also some time ago, I managed to finish Frequency (I stopped watching for some time), and I can confirm it is indeed crap. I'm not even going to spoiler this shit: they still don't catch the killer at the end of season 1. Which is the only season, since it has been (rightfully) cancelled in the meantime. Lots of relationship drama, lots of fucking up policework.. Some other storylines going nowhere, the show was a mess. Despite the occasional fun, despite the source material, despite the babes.. Not worth watching. I need to finish Breaking Bad at some point, but I think the next series I'll be watching are Sense8 (which sadly has been cancelled as well, I enjoyed season 1), and then season 4 & 5 of Orange is the new black. After that I need to continue with Orphan Black and Outlander as well, and I need to start Fargo at some point. <sigh> Well untill they put season 2 of The expanse online, then I'll drop everything for an allnighter. That's seriously my favourite show after Game of thrones at the moment. I hope Scifi won't fuck it up.

Yeah, I think it does make the connection, but I don't see a discount. I think the login errors are simply the result of me being logged in already. I've also asked on a Dutch forum, I'll report when I've succesfully pre-ordered the game for € 40,-

I generally loved 13 Resons (edit: spelling error, but I watched dot dot dot again a few days ago, so I'm leaving it) why, except the ending. I didn't think the episodes were too long. What I hate is the forced hooks for another season, one that doesn't exist in the book that it's based on (all content is in season 1). They should have made an episode 14 to wrap things up (makes perfectly sense within the story too,

I've logged in, but I don't see any connection being made with my Uplay account (I have one). It asks me to log in again, but I get "login errors!" (which is different from an invalid password. It's not quite clear to me if a Ubisoft account and a Uplay account, or a Club Ubisoft account are separate things or the same thing.

I haven't played this much, but I suspect I'm near the end, roughly 6 hours in. Edit: Also downloaded Gunvolt Burst. Will give it a go later.

Yeah I'm not watching the Mario gameplay. I have watched the gameplay of games I'm not interested in or if they didn't seem to show many spoilers. Watching Fire Emblem Warriors confirmed for me this is not going to be the game that will make me go out and try a Warriors game. It's just not for me, no amount of FE fan service and awesome animations will change that.

I have already played a (good) Metroid 2D remake, but this looks good nonetheless. Would probably get it if I had a 3DS. I love the melee counters!

I'm pretty happy with these announcements. Xenoblade 2 - Trailer was mediocre, but I'm getting it regardless. Kirby & Yoshi - Fun looking platformers, I'm especially getting nostalgic for Kirby, but I'm likely to get both. Pokémon - I'm not the biggest Pokémon fan, but after 20 years of playing my first and only Pokémon game I'm due for another . Pokken tournement - I like fighters, and this one doesn't look bad, but I prefer other games. I'm crap at them anyway, so I think I'll skip this one. Metroid 4 - I don't need to say anything about this. Fire Emblem Warriors - I don't care for the Warrior games in general. If they implement enough strategy stuff, I might be swayed, but I don't think that's likely. Rocket League - When I saw the football, I was hoping for Mario Football . Have no interest in this myself, but it's a good addition nonetheless. Love the crossplay. Mario Odyssey - Looks absolutely fantastic.

.. I'd be up for a game where I can fly and shoot stuff, but that whole customisable toy thing on your controller looks extremely cumbersome. I hope it's an optional gimmick.

Yeah, I agree it's a weird combination of characters and gameplay I didn't ask for, and I'd prefer if at least Mario was left out or it was an whole new IP (though the Rabbids actually look like a fun choice for a more light-hearted variation of this type of gameplay). That said, I actually love this kind of gameplay, so as of now this is very likely looking to become a purchase for me regardless of the weird combination. The gameplay actually looks like fun. And with an actual Xcom expansion announced.. Yeah I'm content.

Reggie mentions the spotlight to be "fast and to the point", so I'm expecting it to be in the format of the last few Directs. Sounds good.

I'm liking the customised colours for the controllers though.. Should be a no brainer for the Switch controllers.

That's an absolute shitty trailer. Anyway, I never even finished Oblivion. Skyrim still has some appeal to me, but I'll get it in a Steam sale.. one day. Unless I really get the urge to go above and beyond to support 3rd parties.
