Hopefully we can get some quality back with the Netflix Marvel shows. I have yet to finish punisher, which was an absolute chore to watch.

Good. Guess I'll be skipping the digital version this month in that case (and good that I haven't pre-ordered it yet). I'm a bit annoyed by the physical releases of indie games long after their digital release.. I vowed to get as many physical versions possible, but I'm not sure if I'll buy the likes of Wonderboy and Overcooked, for example. I mean, I want them, but money's also better spent on other things.

Ehm yeah.. So about Cloverfield: it isn't good.

I got Oxenfree immediately because I already knew (I thought that) it was great. But I absolutely get why it wouldn't interest other people because it's a fact there's very little actual gameplay. But personally I don't mind the interactive story once in a while, I used to be a fan of Telltale games as well (before they got worse and worse). And I think the atmosphere and story and dialogue in Oxenfree are simply fantastic. So it should be no surprise I bought Night in the woods day 1 as well, it seems to be right up my alley. I've hardly played it as of yet, the film festival was in the way, but I played enough to see it's very similar to Oxenfree regarding "gameplay". I also bought Furi, specifically for the festival, as something to play during breaks between films, but I didn't get to play it that often actually. I enjoyed what I played so far, but I'll post in its topic when I have more impressions. Lastly, I'll buy Dandara tonight, and this will be the first time of me making use of the pre-download option. I'm not sure if I'm still under NDA, I guess it doesn't matter now with the game close to being released. I've played the beta on Steam, but unfortunately didn't play it that much either.. It was bad timing, as it released just before Super Mario Odyssey being released. But my impressions of it are good. Not perfect, I have some issues with gameplay elements, but I don't know if some of those are a non-issue if you play the whole game. But I suspect they are. Basically I have a problem with the upgrade system not being balanced (certain upgrades being much more important than others), and I wasn't a fan of the lack of savepoints. That said, I enjoyed the very unusual movement and combat, and the artstyle, music, and general atmosphere are fantastic. The game has a dreamy quality to it. Oh I forgot. Not sure if this had an NDA, I never saw any mention of it, apart from the request not to stream / upload it, but I also played the beta of Arena of Valor, this time actually on the Switch. It was the first time I used a code. This was also badly timed, right during the festival, but again, it was incredible to simply be playing an online multiplayer game right in the cinema, while I'm waiting for the next film. Anyway, it was enjoyable from what I've played (which isn't much), though I suspect it doesn't have much long-term appeal. I must say though, I don't have much experience with Mobas, but it was similar enough to what I'm familar with (which is Demigod), and it did scratch that itch. So I'm definitely interested in the game. Edit: Oh, and I see Owlboy is available, so I guess I'll be pre-ordering that as well. After taking a break for most of January, I guess it's back to buying games again. That's several for February, I'm also getting the Bayonetta combo.

Holy motherfucker. Netflix dropped a bombshell. The new Cloverfield.. It's there. You can watch it NOW. On a now totally uninteresting sidenote, I've been enjoying Altered Carbon so far. Definitely not Game of Thrones level, but it looks good, and I love the setting.

There's a rumour that Black Ops 4 is the new CoD, and will be headed to Switch. It's also said the game will have a contemporary setting. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/02/rumour_call_of_duty_2018_could_be_black_ops_4_and_it_might_be_headed_to_switch

A Smash Brothers WiiU port is not what I truly want, but it's what I fully expect. For this year. I'm willing to bet. I'm getting it regardless. I own all the other Smash Bros games, the WiiU version is the only one missing (and the 3DS version, but I consider them to be practically the same game). I fully expect an E3 reveal, and as others have speculated, the now confirmed lauchdate of the online service would be the perfect time to release it. I expect overall the same game, with some balance updates, and a few new additions, but not too many. New challenger: Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Always accompanied by a blade, he can change from Pyra to Mythra (.. and perhaps 1 or 2 other special blades), changing his other special moves, his smash move (Burning sword or Sacred arrow) and perhaps his stats. Recovery move is obviously Anchor shot. If he manages to recover from below the screen, he'll bring up some items (.. and maybe an enemy..). Stage: Gormott. Ancient Sauros is a stage hazard. Can be high tide or low tide. High tide allows for swimming. New challenger: (Generic boy / girl) Inkling from Splatoon. Forward special: Splat bomb Down special: Curling bomb Neutral special: Turn into Squid / Kid. Squid let's you move fast through paint. Paint disappears after a while. Up special: Squid beacon / Super Jump. Only works when a beacon is placed. Smash: Tenta missiles. To frustrate Splatoon fans, alternate costumes includes Octolings. Stage: Shifty station. Moving platforms. New challenger: Springman from Arms. Special moves: Not sure, I'd suggest different Arms as special moves. Smash: Rush attack Stage: Sky arena New challenger: whoever is the new protagonist of the new Fire Emblem. New stage: Snipper clips level. Changes: Mario: FLUDD move replaced for Cappy move. Miiverse stage: either removed or updated to work with Twitter like Splatoon and/ or displaying default images. I'd like a Nindies tribute dlc pack as well, with Dorothy, Jason + Sophia, and Shovel Knight, and stages from other Nindie games. Edit: If the timing is right, then we also need Travis[/i]. Well, even if the timing isn't right, he needs to be included.

1] Don't focus too much on getting more rare blades early on. They need training to become more useful, and it's more blade management. You will get plenty eventually, you're guaranteed to get at least a couple due to story events and sidequests. 2] Salvaging is good, but becomes more useful the further you get in the game, as you get access to better salvage points, and can afford gold cylinders (and you may have some blades with the salvaging knowledge skill). Never salvage just once, always do it a couple times at least. Even in the beginning though, if you have some money to spare, buy the best cylinders you can afford. They are always worth the investment. 3] In my opinion, the best early way to earn money, is to sell all your crap. It also makes it more manageable, because if you don't sell regularly, it becomes a pain to sell stuff due to the interface. If you do plenty of exploring, fighting monsters you aggro, sidequests, and merc missions, you will have plenty of stuff to sell, and this is going to add up. Make sure you sell your stuff in a region you want to raise the dev level of, because this is actually one of the easier ways to raise the dev level. I would not sell collectibles, as they are used for various other things, and I would not sell pouch items, unless you use a guide. Certain pouch items are needed for blade affinity charts. Obviously don't sell treasure to regular sellers. Aux cores are great for selling. I never really bothered much with them in the main game (I may now, now I'm in post-game). If you're interested in using them, refine them first (this is one of the things where collectibles are used), but I would sell anything that isn't rare at the very least. I would also sell accesories (that aren't rare), and core ships which have been made obsolete. And common core crystals.

Yeah I dismissed this initially, as I'm not that interested in Super Meatboy style platformers (I am somewhat, but in extremely small quantities). But this seems to be more than that, and I'll probably give it a chance someday (which means I'll add it to the ever growing wishlist).

She will always be my Queen!

Geez, I wake up this morning and I have a whole bunch of stuff to read (which I don't have the time for).

I can't claim to be an SEO expert, but I can't help but think that actually having "Nintendo" somewhere in the name would help. Searching for Nintendo europe fansite at least, doesn't put you in the top hits. If content is a problem, then you're not abusing your writer staff enough. Don't you have whips?
-
The latest spammer and someone making a joke about this site missed being called "wii-europe", made me realize, you may not actually have the most seo-friendly name. What are the thoughts on renaming this site "nintendo-europe", or something along those lines? I get you may want to avoid something so "official" sounding, although on the other hand, I doubt you'd be in some actual legal trouble for that. That said, you could compromise on another name that does include "nintendo" and something Europe-related, but still sound more like a fansite. Edit: not to mention nintendo-europe.com is already in use by Nintendo.

Just like Glen-i, the game doesn't really appeal to me, or I would have bought it on Steam already. It does to some extent, I absolutely love the style, but I suspect the gameplay is just going to frustrate and/or bore me. I don't get this from the ACA series. I'm all for accurate arcade ports, but does that really need to include the slowdown? They should get rid of that, and at most include it as an option. Anyway, Double Dragon isn't for me, despite the panty shot . It looks even harder than the NES version, and I have no nostalgia feelings towards it, as I've never played the arcade version.

Wasn't that I wasn't sure. It was also fun to watch the Enterprise 2-parter In a mirror, darkly afterwards, for various reasons. I'll also watch the TOS epsiode The Tholian web probably. I hope the Defiant actually makes an appearance in the remaining episodes ha. I wonder what happened to it after those Enterprise episodes.

Just making sure.. You don't happen to just have load of crap installed on your computer? A fresh OS install is cheaper.

There are 2 here that I know of. The one I have is called Cineville. It's not tied to a particular chain, rather it's a subscription service that applies to various (mostly independent) cinemas. It's 20 euros a month. I can make reservations in general, though if and how and when depends on the cinema. I rarely need to as I rarely go to screenings that risk being sold out. But there are few restrictive terms. I still have to pay an additional fee for 3D usually, but that's rarely a problem as I generally don't watch 3D films in the cinemas I go to using that subscription. I can pretty much go to all regular screenings as much as I want. It's pretty flexible as the cinemas themselves can decide what special screening you can and can't use your subscription for, but the cinemas who have joined generally embrace it. Basically, if it's just a screening of a film, chances are you can use your subscription, regardless whether it's part of the regular programming or some special screening. If it's more elaborate, than you can't, though often you still get a discount. To give you a few examples, pretty much my favourite cinema in Rotterdam has a screening of pan's Labyrinth when The shape of water releases. That's at no extra cost. Oh but this looks cool: a screening of Metropolis.. But with live music. Techno music even. By techno veteran Jeff Mills. I've got to pay for that, but I get a discount. And last year I paid 5 euros for a special advance screening of The big sick, with Kumail Nanjiani and his real wife present for a Q&A. But yeah, it's flexible, and it depends on the cinema and the context. I've paid over 300 euros for those festival tickets, but there are plenty of smaller festivals I go to where I can also simply use my subscription. It feels great watching 20-30 films in little over a week for 20 euros. At those times, it actually feels like I'm robbing them or something. That said, most of the cinemas who accept the Cineville card, are less commercial than the bigger chains, so I'm a bit dependent on their programming. Fortunately, I live near the 2nd largest city of The Netherlands, and have several cinemas to choose from, and together they show almost everything I'd possibly want to see (and there's always the option to go to Amsterdam). For the few things they don't, I'll go to the biggest chain here (Pathé) and buy the tickets for those few films I'll see there, like the upcoming Marvel films. That biggest chain actually has the other subscription service, which mostly works the same. 20 euros a month I believe, for all the regular screenings, and 25 euros with no additional fees for Imax / 3D / Dolby Atmos / Vision. And you can buy tickets online. If I had more money to spare, I would get that subscription as well, but I get much more mileage from my Cineville.

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (December 2017)
Sméagol replied to Dog-amoto's topic in General Chit Chat
Well, it took me over a month, but I finally went to see it today. -
Holy shit. Where's the next episode?
-
Have fun with Oxenfree guys. The port could've been better, but the game itself is fantastic.
-
We do, and I have one. And it's most likely better than what you have (it's vastly superior to what they have in the US). But yes, this is for an upcoming film festival. I'll post updates when it actually starts.

I wonder if the deleted scenes will have her die a lot. Anyway, it's that time of the year again.. I bought 40 film tickets. For now.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe League 2018 (Final results now in)
Sméagol replied to Glen-i's topic in Nintendo Gaming
If Redshell is late, don't worry, he's just getting a new Switch.
