I put a temporary stop on video games about a fornight ago, havn't been on both the 360 and Wii during that time. I have found that i can bring much more conversation about other things than video games. I've managed from this to concentrate more on my work and get things done i've let slip for so long. I've managed to relieve stress, fix things and discover these things called books (i have loads to read atm) mainly Clarkson books. Seriously, video games are the big distraction and once you put a freeze on them everything becomes clearer and you can concentrate more on more important things.

Film Review Poll, Urgent and Plentiful Input Needed
Jimbob replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
I prefer the reviewer giving his/her score based on his/her review of said product. Then a section below giving readers/viewers etc the chance to view their comments as such. Basically, what Retro_Link said i agree with. -
I guess it is one of them movies at the moment, last time i checked Tesco sold out and W H Smiths in Chepstow had sold out of this movie. Lucky i pre-ordered back in December. You won't be disappointed with Taken.

I have no idea what was missed out, probably some extended scenes showing more blood, death etc. It wasn't the same version as i saw in the cinema, that was about 80 mins long. This version is 90 minutes long, so longer than the original cinematic release.

Taken (Blu-ray Version) Liam Neeson stars in this "trust your Father" action movie. Don't kidnap someones daughter, you may get a pissed off Father looking for you. Awesome movie, loved every minute of it. 10/10 Taken - Extras There is a Real Tim Mission Intelligence which counts how many kills, injuries and how much time he has left to find his daughter. It also displays a map showing the locations he is visiting as well. This is only compatible with certain players. Also there is a making of area complete with a Six Inside Action: Side by Side Comparison which shows a different side to all the best bits of the films. And then the usual stuff inc documentary. I think the extras are pretty neat to be honest.

Days been alright, work was good. Finally finished off some sketches which were started Thursday, they were good to do. Came home to find Taken had arrived, wanted to have a curry and a few beers while watching it but parents were home and couldn't have one as they had prepared some jacket spuds. Not what i expected, usually the 2nd Tuesday of the month is Curry and Movie night. But alas, not this time. Curry postponed until Saturday night. Other than that, pretty good night.

Its a good idea from Google, i can see it catching on for a while once it gets released until the ineveitable occurs between parents and children. "Where are you" "I'm at my mates" "No your not, your in town." Now what would the kids say to this.

Drunken political rant *contains bad language*
Jimbob replied to Nicktendo's topic in General Chit Chat
From what i've read of your essay as it were so far is pretty darn good. But something which caught my eye which interests me which is your title "British Jobs For British Workers". In some ways, i agree with you. The lazy Brits who can't be asked to get a job and linger on the dole all their lives then moan about it when the Polish/Spanish etc take these jobs that these Brits refused. What else do employers do, if the Brits don't want the jobs hire in people who will. It is a competitive world, and with this recession Britain is currently facing any job going will have maximum competition to acquire the job. What this is really all about from what i have worked out from all the news reports, paper reports etc is that if the Brits can't be bothered to earn a living and rather "scrounge it" from the working Tax Payers then Foreigners who have a permit to work in this country will take any opportunity to earn a living rather than "scrounge" it like some Brits do. Yes, i agree with the protesters who claim that we should be first in line for jobs because of our current financial situation. But again, some Brits are too lazy to apply for jobs so we won't be first in line for much longer. And if many more Brits become unemployed for Foreign nationals to replace them who earn minimum wage (thus don't pay a lot of Tax), we won't have as much Tax money to pay Benefits and what else will be left to do, we will have to go back to work with no choice really. You also claim that Britain no longer exists. Actually, Britain does exist. We have the freedom that other countries do not thanks to a strong Army and are loyal to our Monarchy which some countries don't have (some don't have a Monarchy in power like us). Which is why some people attempt to get into this country because it is safe. This country only has many things to blame to the British Media, who mix things up and makes things sound worse than they actually are. We can also blame the Labour Party, namely Tony Blair for his "fake" (i believe it was for Oil only) war in Iraq. Ok, we caught Saddam and executed him for his crimes against humanity. I believe we should now look at Zimbabwe and get Mugabe out of there for his crimes. But all Britain does is complain to the EU. That was not what we did years ago, we invaded these countries (Falklands to name one) and grant them freedom which they deserve as well. Ok, Iraq is free from Saddam and his reign but what is left. His supporters who don't like change, thus they attack and cause problems like blowing up our troops, which in turn causes the families of the soldiers to get angry and call for an end to this meaningless war now. America has listened, and Britain probably will follow suit soon as we always do. Britain needs to change to become Great once more. Us Brits need to pull a finger out and do more to get work. We should take a leaf out of Americas play book and give people 6 months on benefits if they are capable of work and if they don't prove they are looking hard enough or get a job, the benefits stop and no more money for freeloaders. If we looked for work instead of complaining about why we don't get work and foreign nationals do, then maybe foreign workers won't get first priority for work and perhaps we will get back in first place for jobs and work. Maybe we Brits need to change, not the employers as the protesters want. End. Edit: For the record i am in no way racist or discriminating. -
Put me down as a maybe. Reasonings behind this is that i am planning a trip to Germany (namely for Oktoberfest) around September/October) and am unsure on who wants to go with me. Plus the other reasoning is if anyone from my end is going as well, then a possible tag along for the company for the 2 1/2 hour train journey then epic times lay ahead.

I'll take a look when i get home for any nice pics i got from holidays and stuff. Really good pics in here so far, some of them are too awe inspiring for words alone. Edit: here are some snaps

It does deserve to be released, Sonic 3 is out on the Virtual Console, same as Sonic 1 and 2. Its just Knuckles isn't available on the VC, and neither on XBLA inc Sonic 3 which is yet to be released. They must be planning something with ommitting it from the collection.

I think it was about 20 times per game to unlock each new game. With this apparent info of Sonic and Knuckles not being compatible with Sonic 1, 2 and 3 on this collection, they may have lost a sale from me. The Mega Collection had this feature, and Sonic CD was one of the finest Sonic games made. Oh well, heres hoping a collection with all of these games on one disk comes out i.e. a ultimate Sonic Collection.

Apparently, the South Wales area gets some more on Monday night. Thought it was all over to be fair. I'm getting fed up with it to be honest, work don't like me being late because of the snow and they don't buy the reason i can stay off (can't get in because of snow) because i don't live on a mountain. Its annoying really all this snow.

Actually, the maximum temperature we can legally work in is 37 degrees. Minimum i have no clue. As for getting paid if you go home for being too cold, my work rules say yes i do.

Lets see, it will be a normal day for me. Single life has its negative side sometimes, this isn't one of them.

I tried a Chilli and Chocolate last night, actually thought it was a decent flavor. Not as nice as the Onion Bhaji though.

I'm open about all religeons, no matter what they are to be honest. The original advert stating "There is a God" is probably a lot more non-embarrasing that someone standing in the street preaching this (i've seen loads of these people in Newport, Cardiff and Bristol). Still a bit ridiculous though, but nowhere near as embarrasing as the person who stands in the street.
