  1. Last check, @Twozzok hasn't sent an invite over. Just a quick reminder, want to give the new players a run.
  2. Bulls fan myself, last Fridays game vs Celtics was edge of the seat. Last shot of normal time from Bellinelli bought in the O/T, that was a lucky shot indeed. But Saturdays vs the Mavericks was unlucky, some bad officiating and sloppy play indeed. I think they are doing pretty good without Rose, who tore his ACL in the play-offs last season. They expect him back for the play-offs this year, but many fans would like him to be back at the start of the 2013/14 season instead. Got the East vs West match Febuary, and some great names have been included for the starting line-ups.
  3. The idea came from Ville's NFL thread, anybody here watch the NBA?. Me, it's one of the few sports i watch along with F1 and Football. Many ways to watch (League Pass, "free sites" etc), and with Sky apparantly getting more matches this season (latest was the Pistons-Knicks game in London) compared to last season, it's a good time to be a fan.
  4. As per usual.
  5. I've spent some money to bring in some younger players for development. Bought a new defender, midfielder and striker to replace 2 retirees and a unskilled striker.
  6. I'm split between both. Music, i've stopped buying CD's and moved onto downloads. It's something about a £3-£6 pricetag that appeals for me to download the music over buying a CD. Probably because of 2 reasons I no longer have a CD player I'm fed up of burning the disks to the PC to get the music onto my media player Also, i understand the concept of owning a physical copy. At the moment, i do burn a back-up disk of all my music once in a while in the case of hard-drive failure. When it comes to movies and games however, it's a different kettle of fish. I much prefer owning a physical copy of the movie/game over a download. At present, even though my internet has been sped up i still prefer owning a copy of the film instead of using Netflix/Lovefilm etc. Not sure if there are places corresponding to legally downloading films to own. Games, i know you can download them via Steam or Xbox Live/Wi-fi but i still prefer hard copies. Except Live/Mobile games. The way my internet is going, i can't rely on a solid connection to stream content. I watch NBA over Xbox Live and it has occasionally logged out.
  7. Watched Dredd last night, thought it was an excellent movie. Great cast, good story and overall brilliant. Can't say much more without spoiling.
  8. He's saying he doesn't deserve a lifetime ban, what's he on drugs or............... oh wait, probably was when he said that. He deserves to be locked up for cheating and being a fraudster. Not only has he been stripped of his Olympic medal and Yellow Jersey, but he should be expected to pay back his prize funds or give it all to charity as well.
  9. Footage of the First round draw.
  10. 8pm Stream link is here Chat room is here
  11. Right, is that player list final. Just making final preps for the draw.
  12. Excellent news, got a better webcam set-up. Lighting issues not a problem as the image below shows
  13. Great game everyone, i kinda expected to be lynched much earlier due to my absence.
  14. I got a small pile of games built up, got 1 or two arcade titles to still clear (namely both episodic Sonic titles). Console games, i got the following NBA 2K13 Halo 4 Assassins Creed III Witcher II (nearly done) Skyrim (so much joy) Kid Icarus: Uprising New Super Mario Bros 2
  15. I'm not out to convince anyone, i only play once in a while so it's not going to affect me at all. Yes this increase will raise the lower prizes, but keep the chances of winning at the same level. I can't remember, did people moan in general when Euromillions went from £1.50 to £2 (or is it £3). And @Cube, i know. Won't make a difference to me, a once in a while player.
  16. It's a bit of a money-grabbing motive. Some people who play the lottery are considering removing their Direct debits and not playing the lottery anymore due to this rise. Yes, i know it's only a £1.
  17. I'm putting this out as well now, i'm thinking of doing the next round draw on Tuesday 22nd January at 9pm, again giving people plenty of time to get the invites out. Let us know if that's ok for everyone.
  18. Shows how often i check the thread.
  19. All for £15 upgrade. Thanks to the timeframe Microsoft provided for upgrading to 8 for this price. Also payed for that Startisback app (thanks to former N-Europe'r Jordan) so now it boots to desktop instead of the Metro design. Sale £19
  20. Having a proper look through Windows 8 (yeah, i upgraded for £15 (thanks to the T+C's)). It's pretty quick, and i managed to get it to boot to desktop (thanks to a former N-E member in Jordan). My only gripe is that MS don't like the Aero glass and have removed the coding for that. Which is slightly annoying. I got the license code for it, and i have the disks for Windows 7 in my wardrobe in the need i feel a change back. It's heading that way i believe.
  21. Lets do this Vote: No Lynch
  22. Do what that bloke in Ireland did. Thats all i recommend at this point.
  23. Probably not, ah well. Enjoy the game everyone, i'll be watching from the depths *headstohell
  24. Blockbusters, meh. I'm more bothered abuot HMV. The highstreet needs more independant stores selling entertainment products. But as i said on Twitter earlier, if this is Mr Camerons idea of regeneration then i'd love to see recession.
