Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Thread
RedShell replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Not me. Actually, that’s a lie. See you at 8! -
I did indeed: Cheers for the heads up on that cat game, will have to see about getting that in the sale. *EDIT* I see another game that I really enjoyed is currently on sale in the eShop, Kero Blaster.

Super Mario Maker 2 - Level Share/Feedback thread
RedShell replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah, that’s a great level @nekunando! I got all the red coins, took me almost 10 minutes but it was good fun. -
Afraid not. This was absolutely brutal!:

OK. Heading online now. Don’t forget to add the CPU!

New Switch revision announced (NOT the Switch Lite!)
RedShell replied to Dcubed's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I would be really annoyed by this "stealth" Switch revision if I used the console primarily as a portable device, I mean that battery life increase is pretty substantial! Wonder if this new version will have reduced fan noise too. That's something I've started to notice more often (especially during docked play) with certain games on the original hardware. -
There's no online functionality in this game at all, right? Seem to recall something about online play, but may have imagined it. If there's no online features then I'll get the physical version of the game.

@Dcubed, what do you think of this?

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD - 29th October 2019

The best thing about Banana Blitz was some of its music: -
I think you'll find that you're crazy.

Super Mario Maker 2 - Level Share/Feedback thread
RedShell replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Just checked it out, the section with Dry Bones is very clever. I think it might be slight variations in the timing of his invincibility that’s causing the issues. Don’t see what else it could be really. Anyway, good work. I always admire the amount of planning that goes into these automated levels. I have a new level uploaded (forgot to do a tweet, will do that in a sec) it’s a coin collection speed-run that’s very much on the easy side. In fact, other than a handful of Goombrats and a completely optional Bowser fight, I think it’s actually pretty tricky to die on! Watch the clear rate still be terrible... *EDIT* ID: -
Nintendo Switch Lite announced - Releasing Sept. 20

Oh yeah... I completely forgot that backwards compatibility was a thing. That’s actually a pretty good call, @S.C.G & @Grazza. -
Nintendo Switch Lite announced - Releasing Sept. 20
RedShell replied to Nicktendo's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Pretty sure that's not going to happen. There was obviously a need/desire for those with certain Wii U titles, which never got the audience they truly deserved due to the hardware flopping. But yeah, Switch is doing fine (and then some) so it's best games will more than likely remain exclusive to it. -

Super Mario Maker 2 - Level Share/Feedback thread
RedShell replied to Ronnie's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I did in the original SMM, but it’s not something I’ve done since, because I only want 1 appearance of Baby Face in each of my levels now, as a hidden “collectable”, it’s become my SMM tradition. I am indeed glad to know this, good stuff. You’ll be glad to know that I managed to beat all 4 of your Mario Cross-Generations levels. I was so relieved to finally figure out the SMB style! While I was still being dumb and stubbornly trying to get Mario... Anyway, looking forward to your next creation. Yeah, was pretty surprised by that time! I’m going to have to try and make the next Microcour$e more difficult! -

@Dcubed, just seen your comment on my Coursebot level, Brilliant! Glad someone is looking for / finding Baby Face. -

Really cool idea, Dcubed! I played all 4, but have only managed to clear the SMB3 style so far. I still can’t actually figure out how to even pass the bit with Bowser on the SMB style... Anyway, good stuff. Now you need to make it again in the SM3DW style! *EDIT* Oh yeah, I uploaded a new one earlier today: It’s a bit experimental. Hope people enjoy though. -

Nintendo Switch Lite announced - Releasing Sept. 20

It may still be possible to transfer Animal Crossing's save data locally (like it is with Splatoon 2) but that obviously means you'd need both Switch systems at the same time, which might not be ideal. -

Ah, I see. Yeah, that would've been cool. I used 3DS style slide pads on my mock-up, for that reason. -

They seem to be exactly the same sticks and buttons as the standard Joy-Con, so yeah, they'll be clickable. Unfortunately, it also means they'll probably be susceptible to stick drift too, which is going to be even less fun on a completely built-in system.
