To be fair, while I'm usually quite perplexed by your dislike of certain games in this particular case I can at least see where you're coming from. I mean, the controls are definitely odd and there's no doubt it can lead to some frustrating moments, especially when you get stuck near a wall and the camera goes all weird. If it wasn't for the wacky vibe and presentation I probably wouldn't be enjoying it anywhere near as much as I am.

Daily missions were a great addition to this game. I actually had to learn how to T Spin yesterday as a result. Anyone unlock new themes yet? I was planning to get one of the 8 Bit Nintendo game themes initially, but then I heard the music on the galaxy theme and it was a no-brainer, absolutely amazing!

So I finally picked up and started playing Katamari Damacy Reroll. The controls took some getting used to, but I’m really enjoying it. Not surprising though really as Japanese/quirky = I’ll obviously love it. Hilarious cat related moments are just the icing on the cake: But I have to say, what in the hell is up with the game’s audio level? The default volume is ear explodingly too loud! Luckily there’s an option to adjust it and therefore bring it level with everything else on the Switch, i.e. normal volume. But yeah, I’m surprised they ran with it like that. Another problem with the sound is that bloody beeping during the last 30 seconds of each mission, I thought nothing would ever be more grating than Baby Mario’s crying in Yoshi’s Island... I was wrong. Other than that though, it’s pretty great. I adore the little cutscenes, that art style is amazing. And what I’ve heard of the music so far (when it’s not the last 30 seconds of a game ) has been wonderful as well.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas (do a barrel roll!)

I ended up quitting the game after around 10 hours, it just got way too repetitive and annoying. Played as Fox the entire time though. Perhaps one day I’ll go back to it... probably not though. -
Daaaaaaamn! I wonder if it’s possible to get the bag to 999 damage... Think my best so far is around 360km, funnily enough with Daisy. Working my way through will all the characters once before going back to try and improve the scores though. It’s a great mode, I’m glad they brought it back for Ultimate.

Cheers @Glen-i, that’s gonna do it for me though, the lag is so annoying.

You want to host? See if that helps.

Hmm... it’s not running well today.

Ok, Debbie is still waiting to serve. That Kirby game is amazing! Never really played it much before (incase you couldn’t tell ) but yeah, very cool.

What Will You Be Buying & Playing Before The End Of The Year?
RedShell replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Zelda Pokémon Luigi's Mansion 3 Mario & Sonic I was toying with the idea of getting Dragon Quest for a while too, and the demo made a fantastic impression, but I just don't feel like getting into a super long story driven game at the moment. There are also lot's of eShop titles I'm yet to pick up, including Cuphead, The Messenger, Katana Zero, Blazing Chrome, Katamari Reroll etc... but I'm waiting for sales on all of that stuff now. Might nab Katamari very soon though as that's currently 40% off. No amiibo. Was super tempted by Link, but nope, not caving in... I'm not. And no Switch Lite either. I'm happy with the current Switch (well, apart from its Joy-Con, which I rarely use now as they're so borked) and the Lite just isn't small enough IMO. Had it been half that size I almost certainly would've got one. In a way I'm kinda glad they screwed it up so I can save some dough. -
Absolutely. The credits rolled for me the other day (after 26 hours playtime) and I'm now going through all the chapters again to improve my rank, plus find the remaining cats and toilets. Speaking of the credits... As for other post-game goodies... Anyway, it's great to see that this game has done so well. It's easily one of my favourite Switch titles and with Platinum Games clearly firing on all cylinders I'm even more excited to see what they have in store for Bayonetta 3.

Cheers for the games just now @Glen-i.

Think that’s one of Sprout’s. Funny stage. I wish I didn’t suck with Mii Swordfighter. -
Well, as a huge Animal Crossing fan I can safely say that them dangling the New Horizons carrot in front of my face again (when the game is still so far off) had the complete opposite effect. Oh yeah, forgot about that. I spent quite a lot of time with the 3DS version too. It’s unlikely I’ll play through it again, but nice to see it make the jump to Switch regardless.

I didn’t play Paladins for very long, but probably spent over 100 hours on Overwatch on the PS4. It’s a fantastic game, but the fact that there’s no offline content at all is really crappy. My PS4 disc is essentially a drinks coaster now that I’m no longer subscribed to PS+. If there was a way to transfer my data to the Switch version (lol) then I’d have been somewhat more inclined to get back into it, although not for the current price, I mean you’re pretty much just renting this game. Anyway, the Direct. Yeah, it was ok. Liking the new update to Tetris 99 and the customisation features of Pokémon. SNES games finally arriving is great, and the news that there will be even more DLC characters added to Smash is very welcome indeed. The Goemon Mii costume reveal was actually the only jaw-dropping moment for me though (even if technically not part of the Direct) and a truly fantastic surprise. It’s nice to know that there are at least some people who still care about the character. Shame nobody at Konami does, but what can you do. I think my least favourite part of the Direct was actually the Animal Crossing segment! What a waste of time that was, I mean the game is still ages away, why taunt us again? At first I thought they might have been bringing the release date forward, or announcing a demo version or something, but nope. Annoying. Ending with the Xenoblade remaster was a bit disappointing too. Sure, it’s a great game, and one that will no doubt massively benefit from the jump to Switch, but it’s hardly a super hype “one last thing” moment. Not for me at least.

Very happy to see Pilotwings, how that game wasn’t on the SNES mini I’ll never know. Been years since I played it though (last time I dug up my SNES and JP import copy) so looking forward to revisiting that, and in English this time. Stunt Race FX is a nice surprise. And yeah, the more devices I have Super Mario Kart on, the better. I’m hoping we’ll eventually see some previously Japan exclusive titles make their way to the library, specifically from the Mystical Ninja series. I feel that “Goemon” in Smash could be the start of a great Mystical Ninja comeback!

Smash Bros Switch Roster Prediction Competition

I get half a point for this prediction, right? -
Looks like I’m also buying my first Mii costume... GOEMON!!!! Shame they don’t include a music track with him too.

I’m looking forward to the traditional Smash newcomer N-E session! Speaking of Mario Kart, I’m still hoping for a LABO VR update for MK8DX. If it doesn’t appear tomorrow then I guess it ain’t happening. Anyway, here’s hoping this is a good Direct with lots of surprises.

Think I’m on the final chapter now, there have been some crazy twists and turns and a super hype moment which I actually thought could’ve been the end! (Not quite the finale of Wonderful 101 hype levels, but not far off. ) Platinum Games are simply untouchable when it comes to this style of gameplay, absolute masters. The combat has also really clicked for me over the last few hours, and I’ve been frequently getting S+ ranks at the end of cases as a result. This is easily my favourite playing game from Platinum, even more enjoyable than Bayonetta and Transformers Devastation, both of which I love. It’s an especially amazing feat considering this game runs at 30 fps, but yeah, it just plays so fantastically well. I actually can’t wait to finish the game, not because I want it to end, but so I can start a second playthrough!

I've not read any reviews for this at all, but it's quite surprising if that's not being commonly addressed. Sure it's not a huge deal, but definitely worth mentioning as it can crop up regularly across various locations. I'd be amazed if anyone could play this from start to finish without encountering it at least once, put it that way. Anyway, good job on mentioning it in your review.
