  1. I'm not a fan of the windy stage (especially online) in one game all of my players got blown away and I was left with just the keeper for a while! Still, the flying cow makes up for it, helluva funny. The crystal stage can be annoying too, with its tendency to abduct players.
  2. I seriously love most of the music in this game, such a funky soundtrack! Shame there isn't that much of it though and most of it is just short loops. The classroom stage is one of my favorites, really like the chilled out samba on the pause menu too, Luigi's flamenco style theme song is awesome, and I think the invincibility star loop is probably the best rendition of it ever. The music that plays on the disc channel and on the replays is also superb, sounds kind of familiar to me though… Reckon the musicians were listening to Diana Ross? Speaking of the audio, anyone think they should have included commentary in this game? I didn't really pay that much attention to it at first (what with this not being your average footie game) but I reckon it probably would have been quite cool. Imagine the commentary to Wario's fart move. Same thing happened to me! Really jumps up in difficulty ey?
  3. I'm afraid I have a hard enough time keeping this one up to date to manage a DS list too, sorry. Plus there's already a DS release list in Handheld Discussion, although it's not been updated in quite a while. You could always drop Colin a PM to see if he'll update it.
  4. Got mine earlier, not stopped playing since. This game is mental!
  5. Cool, DPLII support! Loving Wario's prematch taunt.
  6. It means starting tomorrow.
  7. It's good that the price has dropped, but it's still £10 more than I'd like it to be, and what the Americans pay for it. Hmm... I'm still not sure if I'll get this, I really want to play the Ada mission, but I just don't think I can justify spending 25 quid on it.
  8. Excellent, loving the sound of that! Was a bit worried we'd be in for nothing but Excite Truck style air guitar music.
  9. Yeah it kind of ran out of steam. The DS's limited online system and the dodgy frame rate didn't really help matters. The Mario footie tourney should run much smoother. I'm definitely getting this game now by the way, so count me in if there's still space.
  10. I finally found the last hidden item today, finding them on the outdoor stages was pretty difficult. Time to focus on the challenges now. I really want to get the unlimited homing beam, but the challenge missions are so damn tough and you've got to beat 20 of them! How's everyone else doing, anyone done them all?
  11. Konami for me too. They've made the best use of the Wii Remote out of all the third party developers so far I reckon, with Eledees. And as davidredge pointed out, they have a great catalogue of franchises. Most of which I would love to see on Wii, but none more so than Mystical Ninja! If that game ever makes it I'll be very happy indeed.

    Wii 2

    Agreed. Thread relegated.
  13. I never played the GCN version of this game so I reckon I'll have to get this, see what it's like. I kind of have the same feeling about it that I had with the previous game though, that I wish it was a more traditional representation of football than all this crazy stuff. Reminds me of this... Should be a good laugh online though. Hopefully Nintendo will have some quality adds for it, they're going to have to work hard to top these though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCGTEaLuOFM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elt7xZLhwGs
  14. That's not an eight, it's the Japanese symbol for day.
  15. Cheers, just did that: My original time was 3:25 I think, but it took me less time to beat the boss on my second go. What’s everyone’s total game time? I’m on around 27 hours. Just goes to show how much play time there is outside of the Story mode. Interesting... I'm guessing for King of Noise you have to make sure you don't get any sound penalties, as for King of Capture, surely it won't be something as evil as you have to capture every single Eledee in the game!? Or will it? Either way I'm going to struggle with those I think. Played some multiplayer for the first time last night, hectic doesn't even begin to describe it! And this was just 2 player. It's pretty funny as you can both pick up the same object and fight over it, my mate soon discovered a really annoying tactic though of grabbing a massive object and holding it up close, therefore blocking the view to the Eledees! You can set the camera control up to flick between the players, we had it set to 30 sec each. You have to make really good use of your time with the camera though, as catching Eledees when you're not controlling the view is much more difficult!
  16. It doesn't look like they do. They certainly haven't with Eledees, the amount of new content to still be discovered after completing story mode is pretty immense. I don't remember my ranking now, should have taken a pic. Do you know what you got? Yeah it's a good idea to leave edit mode until you finish the main game, as you add stuff to it by getting at least a B Rank in all the story mode stages.
  17. Completed story mode earlier, did mission 27 on my second go in the end! Just took a look at the tips but was quite surprised as I didn't do any of that to beat it! Loved the last stage, but had some killer slowdown towards the end of it! Final Boss was cool though...
  18. Are those really coming so soon!? I figured it'd be ages before we saw new colours, what with the production issues and everything.
  19. Man, you lot weren't kidding about 27! What the hell? If I don't make it by tomorrow I'll take a look at Hero's tips.
  20. I've only done the first challenge because I can't stop playing edit mode. It's so damn addictive! I'm up to stage 22 in the story, think I'm going to play through to the end before I go back to edit mode though so I can unlock all the extra stuff for it. Don’t know what IGN were on about giving this a 6 for lasting appeal. I’ve played for over 20 hours now and haven’t even finished the main game! That whole review was completely flawed you ask me, the fact they claim it’s not as good anymore because the novelty of the Wii Remote has worn off is ridiculous. Are they going to apply the same logic to Mario Galaxy and Metroid 3 then because they didn’t come out sooner?
  21. Cool huh? Absolutely. Such a shame about the voice-overs though, ear bleedingly bad. I had a very slight feeling of motion sickness at first, only lasted around 15 minutes or so and not had it since. I've never had anything like that before either. I think Gizmo's probably right though and it's to do with not having a gun or something as a focal point, so you're really focusing on the environment a lot. That combined with lots of quick turning movement and loads of stuff flying around must be what does it. If anyone out there really suffers from motion sickness with games they should try it out before buying just in case. If it can affect people that don't suffer from the condition I hate to think what it'd do to someone that does! It supports 480p and DPLII, not widescreen though.
  22. Completely agree. Personally it's one of the best, if not the best third party game I've ever played! Don't agree with you on the level editor though, I was actually surprised as to how powerful it is. I mean apart from the restriction on the amount of items used you can basically to anything, even re-create some of the Story Mode stages. That tells me we've got pretty much the same tool as what the developers had, what more could you need?
  23. More like good news everyone from America, as that has merely confirmed the US version will be a budget title at $29.99 (£15 / €22). We'll be lucky to even get it for £20. I reckon it'll be £30. By the way, don’t go looking at Capcom’s European site for a similar confirmation, they don’t even have Wii listed as a system!
  24. Better make it a very big pinch of salt! That's got to be one of the worst, most inaccurate release lists I've ever seen. Not to mention a hilarious caption: Yeah... nice one IGN!
  25. Cool. Send me some screens/levels sometime. Yeah searching for and collecting Eledees is the main objective, but it's not just limited to inside a house. Eventually you go out in to the streets and find yourself lifting up cars and even houses! I've spent just over 12 hours on my game so far (a few hours of that time in edit mode) and I'm up to stage 19 in the story mode, I believe there are around 30 stages in total. Plus each stage has 3 unlockable modes so there is quite a bit of replay value. I definitely know what you mean H-o-T about the Chibi-Robo vibe, that and Pikmin were the first games that came to my mind when I started playing this. And... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC408W3Mw3g Neil Buchanan sure loves saying "could be anywhere"
