I've only just managed to tear myself away from the treehouse stream, needless to say my mind has been well and truly blown. Not been this excited for a Nintendo game in a long time, and it feels really great to have this kind of anticipation for one of their titles again. Up until now I really did think they were crazy to attend E3 with basically 1 game, but the last few hours have clearly shown why they had the confidence to do just that, Zelda Breath of the Wild is absolutely incredible! It appears to be the perfect blend of elements from every other Zelda game, combined with a multitude of interesting new ideas and gameplay mechanics, all brought together with the most beautiful presentation. It genuinely is like the artwork from the NES original come to life! Based on what I've seen tonight I honestly believe this will be one of the greatest games Nintendo ever produce, and almost certainly the best in the Zelda series. The wait for this game is going to be brutal.

Just played through the 1st world in Story Mode and did some stages on the 3D mini-game, enjoyable stuff so far. Loving how overpowered Kirby is in the robot. Still very early days to compare to Triple Deluxe, but think I may have enjoyed the initial stages of that game a little bit more. One slightly disappointing thing about Planet Robobot is that the performance suffers quite a bit with S3D enabled. Not sure if this is also an issue on the New 3DS, but I'm definitely playing it in 2D going forward for the smoother frame rate.

Our eShop sale is pathetic compared to the one they got in Japan. No retail titles, a much smaller selection of games and no additional My Nintendo bonus. Completely put me off getting the 1 or 2 games that I don't already own. It's a shame there's still such disparity between the regions when it comes to stuff like this with Nintendo.

It kind of did to be honest, but playing it again last weekend has brought the hype back, big style! Ah, that's interesting, wasn't aware of that. Where do the trophy lists usually appear? I'm pretty sure the trophies will be those badges that you earn in the game. I collected a bunch of them in the beta, and they all seem very trophy-ish. Think there was around 60 to collect in total. Anyway, don't think it's even confirmed if this will be a digital only game, although I very much suspect it will be. I've also read speculation that it could be a PS+ title and feature microtransactions. Not liking the sound of that, but I'll take the game however it comes at this point.

Yeah, between the closed and open beta tests I have already spent more time with this than a lot of games I've bought! Really didn't want to spend so much time with it, but I just couldn't stop myself! This is the game I purchased a PS4 for at the end of the day though. Anyway, I figured out quite a lot of stuff this time around and am generally much more aware of how the game works, so that will definitely make getting into the final game smoother. One very cool thing which I discovered by accident, is that you can make your character eat the various light plants/mushrooms, which then enables you to survive the darkness for about 5 minutes! Super handy for when you're inside a cave, as you don't need to use an additional item slot for a lamp, or worry about someone else nicking it! Also, the downed Izverg always seem to have a supply of crystal in the head, and then a random treasure (items or Matryoshka dolls) in one of the legs. Checked the staff credits this time too as I wanted to find out who did the music, turns out it's the same guy that did The Unfinished Swan and Hohokum. I really do love the music in this game.

Whoa! Nice to hear ShopTo are getting back to their old tricks. Might have to start ordering from them again. Anyway, looking forward to getting my copy, hopefully sometime this week.
