^^^^^ I agree. I think also it's to do with hacking. If the Wii U is hacked at a later date then if the VC games were run off an emulator the hackers would have free run on running any software. Whereas if the emulator is built into each game then if it's hacked each game has to run differently. I'm not saying this is fact, just my guess on things. I think Nintendo being so secretive leads to speculation and argument. Take the Wii U for example and it was the same with the Wii before it. Nintendo wouldn't tell us what the hardware was made of. We had to wait for Digital Foundry to rip the Wii U open to tell us what the guts were made up of. A lot of that was speculation and caused huge differences in opinion. Contrast that with Sony having a press conference and bragging, telling everybody what was under the hood. Straight from the horses mouth. No need for people to speculate or make things up. I think Nintendo both times didn't want people knowing that their consoles were underpowered and the later people find out, the better it is for them. Kind of like the same way some companies put embargoes on a game until it's released because they know it's $h!t but they don't want the general public knowing until it's too late and they've already bought it.

This. It can't be that hard to make an emulator. If pirates can do it then surely the Nintendo the makers of all these consoles can do likewise and having an emulator makes no sense to me. We have another drought at the minute so now would be a good time to do this and after a year I expect better at this point.

Not saying it's the only reason but it's partly down to gimped versions of said 3rd party games and many others. It is also true that a lot of Nintendo console owners don't look at 3rd party games. I was like that pretty much up until Gamecube bar a few exceptions on SNES and N64. I'm pissed as hell with the 3rd party support and it's Nintendo's fault. It's worse for me as I'm exclusively Nintendo. Games like RE4 and Okami rival Nintendo's own games. Not to mention I need my sporting fixes of Tiger Woods and PES. I'm not going to get any of them this generation more than likely so it's worse than it's ever been.

Nintendo need light years improvement in their online before I'd even consider paying for it. If you look at things now, how many people are online in Blops 2 and Ghosts on Wii U? I'd nearly bet there are more people playing Blops online on Wii than their next generation counterparts.

3 Wii U titles in the Japanese top 10 chart, that must be a first. NSMBU is nearing the 1 million milestone. Sales are finally looking respectable in Japan. I hope it lasts and that we get some 3rd party support off the back of the upturn.

It would be more like 1 Sword Adventure unless they get another gamepad working on the Wii U. There is a solution, online play but they won't do that for most games. Part of the problem with Wii U is that only 1 person gets to use the gamepad while everyone else has to use some other control method. It's not a level playing field.

Good result for Sheffield United, thoroughly deserved from all accounts. Lambert though has tobe living on borrowed time. Had they not beaten Sunderland on New Years Day he'd be out the door after today. Fair play to Blackburn Rovers too.

I didn't see the incident myself but I was watching Sky Sports News when it happened and I think it was Paul Merson watching the game who said he should have been substituted straight away, rounds the keeper, open goal at his mercy and he does this. Is this the same Oscar who should have been red carded for his two footed lunge on Lucas? I'm sorry, I forgot, it's not in his nature.

Each to their own. I usually just sneak up on the gamepad and give it a heavy dose of chloroform. Though interesting, I find it's less violent this way. Careful now, them conservatives will say we've been influenced by violent video games.

I tried to buy one in Smyths but they're sold out and I was told they won't be getting them back in stock. The listing has been removed from their site and when that happens it usually means it's being discontinued. Gamestop haven't had them in stock since the Wii U launch. The Wii U pro controller is like gold dust. Couldn't find it anywhere except 1 place. Harvey Norman. I can't remember now if it was €55. Anyway I was queuing up when I seen their price match sign. I told the staff member Smyths were selling them for €39. He didn't even check to see if it was true and just sorted it so that when I went to pay, €39 was the price. I could have been lying. Afterwards I was kind of thinking I should have said €20, still €39 is fair. It was 2 days before Christmas and maybe he was too busy to check though he didn't really look busy. You should try there and chance your arm saying they're £20 elsewhere.

Who says I'm a Scouse? I've never said I support any team from that region. Oh I get it just because I hate United and Chelsea that must automatically mean I'm a Liverpool fan. Loads of supporters hate United and Chelsea, it's not some exclusive club you know. Good way to distract from my point and ignore it completely. You are both playing like $h!t, it's one thing to ignore it but at least you didn't deny it. And no I've not gotten over Chelsea's Bus Cup negative football win. It's still a raw wound.

So the headlines say United have won their last 4 amongst other less favourable terms. Let's look at it. Hull, Norwich and Aston Villa. Not exactly powerhouses of the game. Your other victory was against West Ham. Bar say maybe Hull all the other teams are battling relegation with their managers close to the chop. Also, some of those victories were scraped by the narrowest of margins and not deserved. Paper and cracks spring to mind. Chelsea are doing the same thing and I f%cking hate it.

Solid and extremely respectable numbers for Wii U the past few weeks. Long may it continue. Viva La Vida Wii U!
