  1. £300,000 a week for Payne Looney? I wouldn't pay him £3 a week to lick stamps. Seriously, wtf? He's nearly 30, is clearly a mercenary, held the club to ransom numerous times, has the brains of a grape and how do United reward him? Here Shrek, have the captains armband according to reports. Desperate or what? He doesn't deserve it. I shouldn't complain as I hate United and it would be funny but this skid mark of a human being pisses me off so much.
  2. Put your hand in your pocket Nintendo and make this happen on Wii U. You know it makes sense. I'm calling it, it's going to happen. Fact! MH3U sold respectably so Capcom won't be adverse to the idea.
  3. Wow. What a coincidence. I was only in the Wii shop channel during the week and nearly bought this then backed out and searched Ebay for the DS version. I must get it, I've been meaning to ever since it went on VC. I'm well aware of it's huge praise and lofty status amongst the Gods of SNES games. Unfortunately as ye well know this was never released on this side of the pond back in the day. So I had to make do with Secret Of Mana. Still have it, though the map is now missing, must search the attic. Pure awesome sauce. What a masterpiece. By all accounts Chrono Trigger is even better. How is that even possible? Secret Of Evermore was good too but nowhere near Secret Of Mana. It's in my Top 20 of all time.
  4. Didn't see the Oviedo leg break, by all accounts it was pretty horrific? Regarding the Mata deal. United got lucky there. Didn't have to lift a finger unlike the Summer running around like headless chickens. If Chelsea said no, this wouldn't have happened but Moaninho is a twat and likes sticking his finger in everyones eye. So many reasons they sold him and they all suit Chelsea, e.g. United are $h!t, cash for Salah and others, screws the PL competitors, etc.
  5. 2014 is Nintendo's 125th Anniversary. How will they mark it? Playing cards? Also last year was Year Of Luigi, which was a cheap and lazy marketing ploy for the most part. Not on 3DS but on Wii U. Anyway, what will this year be? DK is 30 this year.
  6. I hope we get this for Wii U. I can dream. It's a bit $h!tty on the MH4 owners, the game's less than a year old. They sure know how to milk the franchise.
  7. Anybody care to make their predictions for next weeks Nintendo Direct? I'll start: 1. There'll be a Nintendo Direct 2. New game announcements 3. Palutena confirmed as a playable Smash character 4. Major expansion of VC 5. TVii will finally get a roll out 6. More footage of Smash, Kart, DKCR:TF, Bayonetta2 and X 7. Price reduction for Wii U 8. Reveal of Wii U Sports Baseball and Boxing 9. More playable demos on eShop 10. New bundle announcements
  8. I really liked Super Mario Snshine. I liked pretty much everything about it. Never understood the hate for Fludd. Some of its abilities were cool. Blazing around on the open water was great fun. I didn't like the blue coins, that's one negative I remember and maybe not enough areas to explore.
  9. I wouldn't count Wii Sports, I didn't buy a Wii for that game and I certainly didn't buy the Wii U for NintendoLand. I wanted the ZombiU bundle but it was sold out everywhere. Wii Play is truly awful. How many copies would that have sold if it wasn't packed with a Wii remote? It's artificial numbers bloating.
  10. They tried more than everyone else but still some of their games were gimped. I hope not but I bet this game will be gimped in some way. e.g. no DLC and it has been handed out to their Bucharest studio so it's being ported separate to the other versions.
  11. Are you talking about Watch_Dogs or Super Mario 3D World?
  12. Each to their own but I've no time for it or its ilk.
  13. I don't believe it's cancelled but you never know. Remember Aliens: Colonial Marines, that was cancelled a month before launch on Wii U, no loss whatsoever. If this game bombs, I'd say that's it from Ubisoft, they've probably already decided they're off. This is just the last game on the conveyor belt. We'll be left with that casual rubbish, Just Prance. I don't remember seeing any Wii U specific footage or screenshots of this game. Pretty sure there's been none.
  14. With figures like that I think we can count ourselves lucky that Nintendo even bother in the UK and Ireland.
  15. Pic Of The Day When Toon Link joins the battle, Alfonzo is in charge of the train. Alfonzo: "Leave it to me!"
  16. Playing Tiger Woods 12: The Masters on Wii because there's no equivalent on Wii U. Thank you Nintendo and thank you EA. So in 2014 I'm playing a PS2 graphical game with great motion plus controls. The online servers are still functioning though there's only ever less than 20 people on at any one time. I think I preferred the 2010 version more, not sure. Might play Another Code: R at the weekend. I hear it's great. Thank God for this backlog.
  17. I've said it before that I like Iwata and I don't want to see him forced out or resign. It's not Japanese business practice to do this anyway. He's had as much success as failure. No, he's had a lot more success in monetary terms but in public perception well Gamecube wasn't great, 3DS made a lot of mistakes and continued that and actually did things worse with Wii U. He deserves more time to sort out the Wii U, don't think it'll happen. God himself couldn't fix it and putting someone else in there wouldn't be fair on them and won't change it, it would probably add more fuel to the fire. It's a catch 22 situation with Wii U. All possible solutions are bad.
  18. I think they're just going to throw him out of the plane when they're flying over the Amazon and hope that when pre-season comes around he hasn't found his way back to Old Trafford. I heard The Lesser Spotted Bebe was parachuted in there some years ago. Throw out the whole M U team while they're at it. Give Rooney a Shrek schoolbag full of wigs instead of a parachute.
  19. Yeah, I was saying to my brother I bet he blasts the ball. I didn't expect him to sky the ball over the bar. They were all shocking except for Alonso. That was great. They all kicked low, the 1st Sunderland peno was skyed as well. I think that and Jones made them aim low instead. One of the worst shoot-outs I've ever seen and I honestly can't think off hand of anything worse. They get paid £10's of thousands to do that?
  20. It's alright, nothing brilliant. A couple of good lines in there but no use of the gamepad. It showed 4 retail games and 2 VC games barely. Yes I'd say you're right, it'll just get thrown onto the Nintendo Youtube channel. It was very accurate in not showing any 3rd party games though. Don't want to mislead people into thinking that will be happening. I will say it's infinitely better than that sandwich guy in the UK ad, can't remember his name but then I didn't know back then either until I looked it up. And better than that dub step American ad. So fair play to him, an amateur is better than all of Nintendo's marketing department. Give that man a job. Edit: Rufus Hound, I remembered his name. Awful, someone should have choked him with that sandwich.
  21. Pic Of The Day "This is definitely not a friendly girls night out…" Coincidence? I think not. Close but not yet, he's just teasing now because of the leak. Edit: I should explain for those that don't know. That's Viridi from Kid Icarus: Uprising on the Kid Icarus stage.
  22. Manchester United This is too funny, I'll come back when I stop laughing.
  23. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=220879 She is plausible even if this turns out to be fake.
  24. Pic Of The Day "There are many changes being made to attack and defense options for grabbing edges. In this picture, Link is actually trumping Mario's grab." "Some other changes include: - Air time and accumulated damage will determine your period of invincibility while hanging on an edge. - Grab controls will no longer be affected by whether you have above or below 100% damage."
