  1. Having played it, I can say that I didn't notice it. I found some frame drops when going through the sky parts in the main game, when you get a star and need to go through enemies. Other than that, it runs smoothly.
  2. Yes. Live action version but with age rating 16+ due to weed and sexual themes. Teen fantasy.
  3. So, finished Fate this morning and well... The ending was actually nice, the last 10 minutes finally gave some answers but overall, it was very lackluster. The world in it could be picked apart with just a few simple questions and the drama was very clearly aimed for teens, which made my eyes roll more than once during the last episode. Yikes. The story was somewhat interesting, though, and I would like to know what will happen in season 2, however, ainwill not watch that, if it ever comes. At least it was short.
  4. Started this yesterday on Switch. It's a bit stiff looking, even in docked mode, and jumping is really weird. But the way the story is told is really a stroke of genius. I look forward to playing more of it. I tried remapping combat to X and Y via a guide but couldn't go through with it as it wouldn't let me add two button inputs, i.e. L+Y or such.
  5. My wife and I are watching Fate: A Winx Saga at the moment - we thought it seemed like a good series to watch between breast feeding and getting too little sleep. We were right. Awful world building and shallow characters, easy teenage fantasy. We will probably go through with it, being only 6 episodes long, but not returning for a second season.
  6. Unfortunately, it's already back to RabbidsOfficial.
  7. Game arrives today, hopefully will be able to put in a couple of hours between baby stuff over the next couple of days. Paternity leave is god sent...
  8. Some days are just not good days without any reason. Then you struggle with lighter weights which makes no sense.
  9. Just found this at a great price again so bought it and am waiting for it to arrive. Looking forward to playing it, as I'm nearly done with Super Mario 3D World, so perfect timing.
  10. My 3.5 years old son has taken an interest in the real Lego, building all sorts of stuff. It's great, really nice to just sit on the floor and make stuff for him.
  11. Have you met a newborn baby? They just lie there, all cute, no response to anything. In a month he will start smiling to people and then he'll be a bit more fun.
  12. I just got a(nother) son! On Thursday, the water broke and out he came, with such a rush - the birth itself took only 40 minutees, from first signs to crying baby. Quite crazy. We are home, safe, and everything seems to be fine. He's sucking and shitting and sleeping a lot so that's basically how it should be. He's quite cute and well-formed. My older son (now 3.5 years old) is taking it very well, though he is a bit more wild these days. So yeah... looking forward to the young one getting a bit older and more fun.
  13. They added the possibility to have checkpoints at some points through it. I never completed it, despite having almost all bees, I think. It wasn't because I wouldn't be able to do it, I just didn't want to spend 3 or 4 hours trying to in order to memorize everything and be able to avoid most obstacles. So I just found that I was happy enough with nearly completing the game.
  14. Don't know if this should have its own thread? But well, Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning comes to Switch on March 16th (my birthday!)
  15. 4K? Pff. How about a stable 30-60 FPS in all games? You would actually notice the difference there...
  16. Moving Out is getting some new, free content - "Moving In"
  17. The same developer released Down to Bermuda yesterday which has a 60% discount as well, running until February 12th.
  18. I had expected that to change when the game was shown again but sadly, no. Snap2 would have been better!
  19. Finished The Last Campfire just now. While I did like the game initially, I think many of the puzzles were too easy and obvious. The joy of a good puzzle game is the satisfaction of solving a tricky puzzle, and I know it's a hard balance to get byt sadly, many of the puzzles in this are just trivial, the solution obvious and the way to get there was set in stone with only a few possible ways to start them. Moving a box around to make a path, light a candle with a box with fire, make the water sink. Yeah, sure, there were good puzzles but only a handful. It's not bad but if you are a pro puzzler, then there are better puzzle games out there. The story is good, it's telling a tale of death and acceptance in a good and light manner, I liked that.
  20. Here is the full announcement, explaining what Katy Perry is doing here as well as outlining some non-gaming initiatives:
  21. Is that still true here? I hope it is... Edit: Yeah, phew, it's still there. Then the Amiibo is just a fast way to get to it. https://www.imore.com/super-mario-3d-world-bowsers-fury-everything-you-need-know
  22. So Cat Mario is basically Assist Mode behind an amiibo paywall? Yikes.
