  1. All this talk about getting the game early has really made me want to go search for it and get it now. But it's not released earlier here in Denmark. Also, I already have enough to play over the Christmas holidays and, well, I'm not even sure I want this game!
  2. Sorry, it was on a Danish site so you couldn't take advantage of it anyway.
  3. Yup. I'm very focused on keeping my back straight as I feel that I'm bending a bit too much backwards on the last rep. I find that it helps really squeezing my buttocks together - which incidentally also stops my leg(s) from shaking - and then I'm also focusing on holding the bar straight all the time. That's actually pretty hard as one arm tends to be a bit stronger than the other.
  4. I don't understand how people can push >60 kg above their heads. It's just impossible for me to grasp!
  5. Congrats on the 100 kg! That's a major milestone. I need to get back up there with good form. Also good job on the shoulder press - I struggle at 4 reps of 43 kg for more than one set, simply can't get it up! However, my max is 48 kg so I think it's alright to do 42 kg 8x4. I'm progressing as well but in a different way. Since I started seeing a physician, my hip/groin has become much better. The physician says that it's alright for me to do anything that doesn't hurt and deadlift and backsquats don't really hurt - in fact, deadlifts are great! I do sets of 10 and then 8 sets, going up in kg every set. In deadlft, I go from 62 to 75 kg - it's not heavy for me but I have decided to strengthen my overhand grip in stead of twisting my hands. This is the hard part. For squats, I do 50-55 and and 6 sets of 60 kg, all 10 reps. That's a bit hard on the legs, the last two sets are tough. Other than that, I do 6 minutes planking every day - we call it the "meatball" because every minute I rotate. So 1 minute is normal, then Superman-hold, then right-side, then left-side, then reverse plank and at last just a normal one again. Hopefully, I am free of pain in a couple of months.
  6. Huh, never noticed that in any other game. I'll look into it. Thanks.
  7. I'm playing this on the Wii U, mainly on the GamePad. However, when I turned on the TV I noticed that there was a bit lag between TV and GamePad. When I pressed Jump, Shovel Knight jumped on the GamePad slightly before he did so on the TV screen - and the sound came out a bit later too. Has any of you noticed this?
  8. So, I guess we got our answers in Ep 9
  9. Two can play that game: http://www.theguardian.com/science/2011/mar/07/safe-level-alcohol-consumption As Sheikah said, studies do not agree. But more recent studies have shown that it is a myth, which he also pointed out. In the 60s, smoking wasn't bad for you either.
  10. I would say that it's similar to having some candy or a coke every day. You get addicted to it but not to a degree where you can't control it and such. If you're trying to lose weight, though, stop drinking and replace it with diet coke or whatever. However, it's a common misunderstanding that a a little alcohol every day is good for you. It does nothing good to your body - it might not do anything bad par se, but saying that it's good for your body is wrong.
  11. Is it worth getting back to this show? Stopped watching about the time where it handled the aftermath of Thor 2 (because I hadn't seen the movie) and haven't got back into it since then.
  12. I play regularly but only offline - I find the input lag rather horrible at times and as I still have trouble beating 3 level 8 CPUs (free for all) I believe that I'm not ready for online just yet. Mind - I do win when I pick my own fighters, though, so I've got better. Other than that I'm working on Events - getting rewards without using costumisation is hard and challenging, taking up a lot of time.
  13. Just got home from London yesterday night after three very good days there, first time ever in England as well. I felt cold, it was windy and chilly in general. However, I saw LOTS of people running around in shorts and t-shirts (with short sleeves)! Is the English less cold than others in general?
  14. Local multiplayer is tough without enough Pro Controllers - and it is a cheaper option to just buy one adapter if you already have 4 GC controllers. I completely agree with you, it's so bad that the adapters aren't in stock but I also firmly believe that they will restock come January so it should be possible to survive until then with any of the other control schemes.
  15. You'd need a shitload of Pro Controllers, Wiimotes, 3DS's and GamePads? :P Or hope that one of the mates has an adapter.
  16. I think it would work for most people. They just need to give it a chance. I fully believe the adapter will come in stock again (as I said, Nintendo has foolishly underestimated the demand) so it's just a temporary solution to the problem. I also think that many people actually have the Pro Controller - at least most who was going to buy Smash in the first part. You didn't do anything. You were of course unlucky which happens to some people - most people throughout life. Of course it's not the best solution, we agree, but at least you'd be playing the game here and now - isn't that better than not playing it?
  17. I'm thinking about going to the Stockholm-concert with either my girl friend (she's very understanding!) or some fellow Zelda-fans. Just need to see the prices before considering it fully.
  18. Seriously, guys, just play with the Pro Controller - it works absolutely fine and requires only a little in terms of getting used to. Then you can buy the GC Adapter later when it comes in stock again if you still want it. Nintendo apparently underrated the demand for the adapter and will most likely be producing more as we speak - it's a money machine for them, no way they won't try to meet the demands.
  19. Yah, I know - I just want to see more of them!
  20. That's a damn solid line-up! Leto as Joker? Why not! Shame that this isn't tied in with the one from Arrow / The Flash.
  21. @The_Peeps: Wireless or wired connection to Wii U? The speed doesn't really matter to lag, unfortunately it's way more complicated. I've experienced lag - both graphics-wise and input-lag. It isn't bad for the most part but noticeable.
