  1. I feel like the apothecary is somewhat overlooked. Which is a mistake, Rupee Festival is brilliant for raising money, and Material Master is great if badges are what you need. And if you're having trouble getting a quest done in time, you might want to consider Shield Breaker. Being able to trap enemies who guard into a full combo gets stuff done quicker. It really is a warrior's best friend.
  2. Turn them on in the settings menu. And I've not once farmed. I always attempt quests that have some kind of reward for doing so.
  3. Unopened Amiibo's do look a bit depressing, don't they? Everytime I see @Dcubed's unopened Mario, I can't help but feel it'll never reach it's potential. You too can help an unopened Amiibo take part in games by donating 10 pounds to your local retailer.
  4. Ugh, don't remind me... It boggles the mind how he didn't go insane trying that 9.0 with one life. And no, you can't just Golden Hammer it... ...I tried...
  5. Have you tried turning the sensitivity down? I've heard that helps. As for @Hero\-of\-Time, have you tried turning the sensitivity up? You move your wrist less when you do that, but not recommended if you do suffer from motion sickness. Also, I believe it's off by default, but that option for Lock-on free aim is not really necessary for the first 2 games. So maybe check that? It's a shame that some people are struggling to get to grips with it. Because I still maintain that the Wiimote is the best controller for Prime. We're looking at yoouuuu, Game Freak!
  6. Congratulations. It's a genuine achievement! Master Core will always be difficult. And yes, WiiU challenges are way worse. Some of them are bordering on impossible.
  7. Ah, @RedShell, you got hasty attacks! That's probably the best skill of the lot. Agitha's potential has literally skyrocketed. I've yet to get lucky enough to be graced with that. Seeing as you can only equip 2 of the new skills at once, I'm going for Hasty Attacks and Normal Attack +. Oh, and @dazzybee, that weapon RedShell has is what I meant by a Level 3, 5-star, 8-slot weapon. You cannot get any better than that. (Network Link reward with the Slot+ skill and the Weapon Slot III potion gives you a decent chance of getting one) I managed to get another perfect weapon though, this time for Lana's Book of Sorcery. Time to invest ridiculous amounts of Rupees into it. Good luck trying to catch me online. It's normally on Thursdays I play online. But I keep losing a connection when I play Hyrule Warriors, I also struggle to get on Miiverse sometimes. It's weird, I can play Mario Kart and Smash with no issues, but anything in the background... I'm not fussed, I've gotten so many benefits from everyone here. You can't miss what you never had.
  8. Unless you don't own a Wiimote and Nunchuk, stop complaining. Wiimote controls are far superior to Gamecube controls for the Prime games. Just whack the sensitivity up to Max and you barely have to move your wrist. Also, as soon as you get space jump on Prime 1 and 2, you can flick the Wiimote to jump in Morph Ball mode! No more waiting for bombs to explode.
  9. They're bonuses you get when someone helps your Network Link while you're playing. I have never got one. As for Zelda, if you press X (Dynasty Warriors controls), you'll fill those orbs up. These change her combo attacks, which will use up 1 orb each. Ganondorf can fill up that bar by holding X when performing a combo attack. So instead of pressing X, hold it and the bar will fill up. When it's full, press X on it's own to unleash a powerful attack. If you don't understand a weapon, go to the "Check combos" option on the pause menu, it has a quick explanation on what's special about a weapon.
  10. Look at my post before my last one. Everything I said still applies without the DLC. Just ignore the comments about the 2 new characters.
  11. Look at my last post, it's just a few scrolls upwards.
  12. My bad, fixed it now.
  13. Right, so I'm sure most of you have downloaded this for the WiiU. If you haven't, you officially have no sense of bargain. Anyway, there is a way to get the Metroid Prime 3 online bonuses. 1. Go to the GameFAQ's saves, there's a file that has 0% progress in all 3 games but has 15 friendship tokens. You want to download that. 2. Start Metroid Prime Trilogy and make an initial save file (Wii Hardware/Wii Mode won't allow you to copy save files over to internal memory unless you have started the game at least once and have made that initial save file) 3. Move the Metroid Prime Trilogy file to your SD Card via the Wii Menu and then delete it from the SD Card afterwards (this is just to give you the right folder structure in place to copy files - you don't actually have to do this, but it makes things easier) 4. Put the SD Card into your computer, re-name the gamefaqs MPT save file "data.bin" and put in the following folder structure (Private/wii/title/R3MP) on your SD Card. 5. From the Wii Menu, copy the MPT save file from the SD Card over to your internal memory. 6. Load up Metroid Prime Trilogy and enjoy!
  14. Thunderbirds! I knew those faces reminded me of something! I'm with RedShell here, they are odd, but it's a kinda cool odd, y'know? Plus, they're American, you know the reputation they have with Plastic Surgery.
  15. I only had around 50,000 rupees when the DLC hit, here's my general ways of playing the game. Never quit mid-way through a mission, even if you die or fail. You get EXP and Rupees. But if you quit through the menu, you lose it all. EXP+ and Rupee+ skills are essential, if you have a weapon with them, transfer it to your best weapon! Material+, Slot+ and Star+ are also great for getting good weapons and making badges. Use the Apothecry! Two of the new potions help you get more Rupees and EXP. What I'm doing is using the Rupee potion to raise money to level up Itty-Bitty Link and Mr. Hyrule. Don't ignore the Network Links! As long as you can realistically beat it. Each one nets you 50,000 rupees just for finishing it, and the enemies tend to drop more Rupees and EXP. You also tend to get a sweet weapon as well. When I do a Network Link, I use the Weapon Slot 3 (I have gold materials to burn) potion so I have a chance at getting a much sought after Level 3, 5-star, 8-slot weapon. (Of course, you have to unlock those Level 3 weapons first) Now that you can delete skills, I can work towards having perfect weapons for me. Anyway, Itty-Bitty Link might have beaten Twili Midna as my new favourite character. You can convert 3 Special bars into a full magic meter and spam Fierce Deity Link! It's broken! BTW, 5 Y's and then press X, you can thank me later. (Assuming you've got the badges for the combos) Tingle is fantastic for crowd control, I've yet to figure the nuances of his special Balloon dodge though, definitely have to experiment more with him.
  16. Fantastic start for me. I've still got it! I'm gonna go on Smash now, if anyone fancies punching me in the face.
  17. Tingle may be great, but Young Link is broken! Being able to convert the Special gauge to magic is hilariously awesome! Fierce Deity Link everything in sight! Gotten them both to Level 47 now. Didn't even need a new potion. I focused on getting a many slitted weapon from Network Links instead now that you can delete skills. Got a Level 3, 5 star 8 slot weapon for Tingle. Result! Only the best will do for Sexy Mr. Hyrule!
  18. Who fancies some Smash after Mario Kart tonight? I'm gonna open a room around 9pm. @Dcubed will probably be there as well.
  19. Yeah, I did that with Greninja. I was so proud of myself. The WiiU version makes that look cake though... Right now, I'm trying to beat 8 characters on Cruel Smash with Lucina. Got to 5 yesterday. It's those damn Gunners! Also trying to do All-Star Hard with Duck Hunt Duo. I'm not very good with projectile based characters, so that's another one I'm struggling with. These challenges are gonna be the death of me...
  20. Song of healing? Well, that's my 7th theme I'm buying!
  21. The group members are randomly chosen. Most of the high rankers from the previous year are in Group 2 this week. You lucked out.
  22. I'll have to check if I have BowserBasher on my friends list or not tomorrow. Either way, Group 2 is definitely the most intimidating going by last year's results. Sorry guys!
  23. It is the same, just without dedicated healers like Sharla. Which worries me because Sharla was one of my most used characters...
  24. That's kinda harsh, I'm a really upbeat guy! I'm not saying FF8 is outright bad, but I can tell it's not going to knock 6 out of the park. In fact, I first played 6 when it was released on Wii VC. I think I was around 20 then. Also, I've only just started! Give me time to play it a bit more before you dismiss me as a grumpy old man. Who knows? I may grow to like the characters.
  25. I doubt the average play time will be that long. That was the final check, I'm sure they had to try loads of silly things to check for glitches. Things most people would never do on a first play through.
